As expected, this is quite good, particularly if you know little about anti-inflammatory foods and want some good recipes. This is a good intro even if incomplete.
My main gripe is the author has an all or nothing view, which is not necessarily realistic (although certainly ideal and should be the goal). I'm self taught, so I'm no expert -- I know there are ways to reduce inflammation when you eat inflammatory foods, and this info is not included in the first sections, where the guidelines are provided. She also advocates no eggs ever (what about egg whites?) and implies no coffee (what about low acid coffee filled with antioxidants?), and potentially implies you might get cancer if you don't follow the guidelines (which may be likely but untrue for everyone). Regardless, maybe a disclaimer that everyone's biology is different should be included even though these are excellent suggestions.
That said this is filled with helpful info and recipes. Recommended.
I really appreciate the NetGalley copy for review!!
