Incredible learning northerner with the author throughout the book. If you love history and learning from significant decision makers of the past, go for this book. I think the strength is in observing and learning from others, adopting to what you do and become a decision maker.
On the whole a fascinating look into how great people made decisions. Often, the thoughts of the author on what was going on were more useful to me than the standard list of 'things to think about' after each chapter. I would say that, quite naturally, the deep insights suffer at times when some ancient historical figure is being talked about: Julius Caesar, for instance. But it's good to have a book with so many powerful 'worked examples' rather than just straight process advice.
