This is the first I've read in this series and it's fine as a stand-alone. The setting is quaint but had me craving pancakes way too much! I would read others in the series.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.
Always enjoyable to get back into Marley's world with Flip Side pancake house and she's as busy as ever with tourists, wedding plans, and cheering a friend on while trying to solve the murder mystery. A great addition.
This is a fun and colorful cozy mystery. It's packed with mouthwatering foods, delightful characters and an exciting mystery as well.
Marley is busy preparing for her wedding, but when murder strikes her cozy town, she can't resist putting on her sleuthing cap and digging for answers.
This book should be on every mystery lovers TBR pile.

I received an ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Marley McKinney is busy running her pancake place and planning her beach wedding during tourist season. One of her regulars is in a sporting event for over 50’s as she wants to cheer them on. Everything seems to be going smoothly until a sport reporter seems to start trouble.
Not surprisingly a body is washed up on shore and it is the sports reporter. It will be up to Marley and Ed Herman an admirer of the reporter to figure who killed her. But then another body is found as they must quickly find the killer before more people die in between wedding preparations.
It is a charming cozy read.
When a nasty reporter covering the Golden Oldies competition turns up stabbed through the heart Marley can't help herself but investigate. However her suspect list grows longer by the minute and so does the danger to her life. A poignant story of how the need for revenge can take away everything you hold dear. I couldn't help but feel very sorry for the murderer in the end.
The Golden Oldies Games are being held in Wildwood Cove and the senior athletes have arrived. When an athlete is lost overboard on his yacht and a journalist is murdered, Marley McKinney can’t help but wonder what happened in her quaint town. As if planning her wedding and running her restaurant, the Flip Side, isn’t enough for her, she adds sleuthing to the to do list.
When them murderer thinks Marley is too close to discovering them, they push Marley into the road and she is hit by a cyclist. While deterred for a few days, Marley can’t help herself and continues to look for the murderer. Will Marley make it down the aisle or will she be the murderer’s next victim?
This is the first book I have read in this series and it works fine as a stand alone. The setting is serene and you can almost hear the surf and smell the salt air. I will be reading more in this series.
