I really loved Jemma and Wyatt. What a moving, sweet, heartwarming storyline.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Fabulous book! It is all about taking a chance on love. It took the community and Bailey Raes (Wyatt’s daughter) convincing to get Wyatt to tell Jemma how he felt.

Your quintessential Hallmark movie, right here! A heartfelt, sweet, feel good, heartwarming love story full of endearing characters. Such an enjoyable read, precisely what you hope to find when you curl up with a country romance.

Country hearts by Cindi Madsen

Jemma Monroe loses her job as a teacher and takes a temporary job at a school miles away in the rural countryside with farms and cowboys and all sorts of quirky characters. She rents a quaint cottage in the middle of nowhere. When she first arrives it starts to snow she had no concept of snow storms in the country. Unplowed roads and fancy high heeled boots she is totally unprepared when her small car slides off a country road. She had a knock on her door and opened it to find a horse from the farm next door. She meets the grumpy young divorced farmer Wyatt Langford and his daughter Baillie Rae who is one of her pupils and then the fun begins no fire blocked chimneys and of course Senior fluffy pants to mention but a few.
Lovely valentine romance humour busybodies interfering make for a fun read.

loved this book, it was like the happiness you get from watching a Hallmark Movie! All wrapped up with a bow! I loved snuggling up and reading about Jemma, a city girl who just lost her teaching job and takes a teaching job in the country living next to single dad Wyatt. Are you getting the big picture yet? This book was great, loved the setting, the characters and see them fall for each other both who were against it, but this reader knew better!

This was a an adorable hallmark worthy book. Jenna and Wyatt had immediate chemistry and add in the daughter and it was just delightful

Definitely a Hallmark-worthy sweet tale about starting life fresh in a new town. After Jemma loses her teaching job due to budget cuts and no prospects in the city, she moves to a small town and a short-term teaching assignment.

She attempts to steer clear of opinionated neighbor, Wyatt, after he reluctantly rescues her car from the ditch. Oh, as well as scolding her on driving skills and choice of footwear. Another reason to avoid him is a recent broken heart from a guy only on the friend track.

Many laughs and sweet moments with students, animals and new friends fill the book. Cindi Madsen has crafted a must- read with Country Hearts.

I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

This is the second book by Madsen I have read in a week and I have loved them both. Was this story about a city girl taking a temporary teaching job and falling for the cowboy next door largely predictable? Sure. That didn't deter me from swooning over Wyatt, a single father who so adores his young daughter that he buys little unicorn presents online to randomly surprise her with. Gotta love a man who thinks his kid is the best thing in the universe by far. It also didn't keep me from delighting in the unfolding romance between Wyatt and Jemma, as she charms her students and the the town. Wyatt and Jemma share some great playful banter and pages and pages of unresolved longing. There really isn't any other conflict which was mostly refreshing but with less to focus on I did want them to get over themselves way sooner.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Country Hearts is a phenomenal contemporary western romance by Cindi Madsen. Ms. Madsen has provided readers with a well-written book populated with an outstanding cast of characters. Jemma lost her job due to budget cuts and took a temporary position in Haven Lake. Wyatt meets Jemma when chasing his horse and catches up just as Jemma answers the strange knock on her door. Wyatt and Jemma's story is packed with drama, humor, spice and cupids of all ages. I totally enjoyed reading this book and look forward to my next book by Cindi Madsen. Country Hearts is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the delightful story of Jemma and Wyatt who find each other at a time they think is the wrong time to start a relationship. But with the help of friends and family they discover it's what they both have been waiting for their whole life.

After reading a few more serious and heavier themed books, I needed a more lighthearted read to get a little escape from all that. When I pick up a book from Hallmark, I know that this is exactly what I am going to get... this was not a disappointment.

We've all seen or read this type of story before--- city girl meets country boy and romance follows. Sure, it might not be an uncommon theme for a story, but the telling of this one was absolutely fabulous. The romantic leads Jemma and Wyatt had such a fun, playful chemistry that I could not help but smile as I read their bantering. It made these characters all the more lovable and naturally had me wanting to see them get their happily ever after. The comedic mishaps and moments had me wanting to read more. I enjoyed this small town and all the unique characters introduced and really wasn't ready to say goodbye to them quite yet. In fact, I would love to see more stories out of this town!

If you've never read a Hallmark book, it truly is just like the movies that we've all come to expect from them just in book form--- sweet, heartwarming and perhaps even a little addicting. I truly enjoyed this sweet romance, and know that the sweet romance fans out there will too!

**I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.

Country Hearts by Cindi Madsen was nice story. Gymma and Wyatt are the two main characters in the story. They both had past issues to overcome but in the end they worked it out. There were many other characters in this story such as an adorable eight year old girl, a third grade class, and many humorous characters in this small town. As with all small towns, word travels quickly as well as rumors. I enjoyed the story and all the humorous events. The story had a slow pace at times, but it picked up later. It was a nice story and a cute town.

This is a Hallmark movie in book form. And not in a novelization sort of way, but rather in a "the book is always better" way. If Hallmark is now publishing books I hope they plan to turn them into movies, because this has all the hallmarks (ha!) of your favorite guilty pleasure holiday movie.

Likable characters Gilmore-esque townspeople and a sweet romantic storyline.

Highly recommended for when you need a break (but not really) from the movies.

Gymma and Wyatt meet because Casper knocks on Gymma's front door. The fun and excitement just snowball from there. It's a sweet story..

I really wanted to enjoy this book, as I love hallmark movies, but I found the style of writing to be off putting. It ruined it for me

Light, easy cowboy romance. City girl Jemma takes a temporary teaching job in a small Colorado town where she meets super hot cowboy Wyatt Langford in not the best of circumstances. It turns out that not only is Wyatt her sexy new neighbour, he’s also single parent to one of her students, the completely adorable and way too wise for her years, Bailey-Rae. Both having been burnt in the past, neither of them are willing to put themselves out there. However it would seem that this small town is full of matchmakers, even Bailey-Rae gets in on the action. Wonderfully written in dual POV, lovely characters (including some really cute animals) and a sweet story from start to finish, I must say, I did shed a tear towards the end. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

A sweet funny read with a clean romance, cute kids and adorable animals. I really enjoyed this book. The town and its people were warm and caring and always looking out for each other. Wyatt and Jemma had great chemistry and Bailey Rae was hilarious. I was rooting for them the whole time along with the rest of the town. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good small town romance.

Country Hearts is a sweet book that centered around a single dad, his daughter and the next door neighbor.
The author does a good job drawing the reader into this story. Wyatt is a great father and a hard working cowboy. Jemma crashes into his world first by becoming his temporary neighbor then by being his daughters temporary teacher.
I know this temporary arrangement is the am in theme throughout the book it need another element. I think the romance was missing from this book. They danced around each other for the entire book. There were sparks of wanting here and there but for the most part it was pretty boring from that aspect.

This sweet book can renew your belief in love and happy ever afters. There are no protagonists here, just circumstances that present a challenge and a cowboy afraid to take a chance. The sense of community found in a small country town is like receiving a welcomed hug. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

After being laid off city teacher Jemma Monroe takes the first available teaching job, in a small town town. Her first days are filled with inclement weather, strange livestock and grumpy cowboys.

Wyatt Langford is bringing up his daughter Bailey Rae alone after his wife left them for the big city lights. Since the divorce he's retreated into his shell, concerned only with caring for his daughter and bringing a smile back to her face. The last thing he needs is a city girl neighbour worming her way into his heart only to let him down again.

Jemma is a veritable child-whisperer, able to charm the naughtiest child in her class. The small town is charmingly cosmopolitan with country yoga classes and a cafe which creates weekly whimsical coffee concoctions. Bailey Rae is charmingly precocious and Wyatt is touching as the gruff cowboy who nevertheless braids his daughter's hair, buys her unicorn themed bric-a-brac and submits himself to tweenager films on Friday nights. But overall, it was too sweet, too predictable and didn't have enough tension to leaven the sugar. Even the school play Jemma directs is a Valentine special.

If you love a sweet small town romance, cute moppets, gruff cowboys and dedicated teachers this is the book for you.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
