I received this eArc in exchange for an honest review through netgalley. This book is well written and the characters are described well. I enjoyed how the characters reacted around each other. Trigger warning as there is mention of suicide. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone. I can't wait to read more by this author and the rest of this series. 5 star read in my opinion.

Shark's Edge should've been a book I'd enjoy. There's suspense with things happening right from the start to make you start looking for suspects, and there are a couple of decent candidates for that. Then, there's the romance, and in the beginning, I thought this couple would be at the least entertaining. I suppose they were for a little while, and then they started to get on my nerves. At about the same time, they started to bore me. The will they or won't they got old way before the halfway mark, and that still left about another 150 or so pages to go. The suspense just wasn't enough to save the rest for me. Then we get to the end, and I won't say it's a major cliffy - it might have been had I cared about this couple, but as it stands, it's more of the back and forth, on-again, off-again that got on my nerves in the first place. This whole thing was just a little too much like a Fifty Shades knock-off, and in the end, I didn't care enough about either plotline to continue with the rest of the series. I barely made it through this first one, so I can't imagine going through all that push and pull between Abbigail and Sebastian for another two books.

Shark's Edge by Angel Payne and Victoria Blue is the first in the Shark's Edge series. Fair warning, this one ends on a cliffhanger but what a great trip to that edge it was. Plenty of steam -- and as much as I'd love to say what I want to say...yeah...you need to experience the surprise for yourself. Abbi is young, maybe a bit naive but still and pretty successful business owner in her own right. She has big dreams and a massive crush on one of her customers Sebastian Shark. As his name entails, he is a super shark, the little train that could. He came from meager beginnings but is proving to the world that anything is possible. What he doesn't do, however, is relationships. He knows what he wants and gets it when he needs it. All this lovey-dovey, feely stuff that is coming his way is truly unknown and he definitely gets it wrong...often. Just when things seem to be righting themselves, someone has decided to target Mr. Shark and in a huge way. There's plenty of suspense and enough steam to keep you coming back for more. And there is one character that intrigues the heck out of me and that is our friend Rio...I need more of her.

This was a 2.5, maybe 3 if I'm generous, read for me. I was super excited to get the chance to read this one early since I'm familiar in name with both authors (only read the first Bolt book by Angel Payne before now though). And the blurb sounded like it was exactly the type of book I love. Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing letdown.

The first 25-30% was decent. We are drawn in right away. There's a handsome jerk of a CEO, a sassy caterer, some suspense with a dead woman and lots of sexual tension right from the start. I enjoyed their banter and really couldn't wait to see where they took things.

Sebastian was the guy you love to hate. He didn't have much respect for women or really anyone it seemed. He was the 'I want it my way and I want it done now' type of Hero. But I was still very much drawn to him. Abbigail had a strong personality as well and didn't put up with Sebastian and his attitude as often as he'd have liked, but she did come off timid at times. And of course, she'd have to be written as the poor innocent virgin (which Sebastian lovingly referred to as a 'situation' *sarcasm*).

The rest of the book was utterly boring for me. I kept waiting for more, but nothing happened to move the suspense forward, they don't sleep together until about the 90% mark *gasp*, and then the ending isn't even that climatic. It ends with him getting called into work. That's not exactly a cliffhanger that makes me want to continue reading.

Will I continue reading the series? Probably. I just wish this one had packed more of a punch and ramped up the drama, suspense and romance.

As a note, the whole book has a lot of very long chapters that seem to drag on and on. I'd have liked them to be broken up to make them more digestible since it sucked to say 'I'll read just one more chapter before bed' and then 30 mins later you're just now finishing one chapter.

Even though this book had two authors, it did seem well-written in that you couldn't tell it was written by different people (unless it was the first and second half).

I have not read either of these authors individually so I had no idea what to expect. I wish I could say I loved it more but, it was just kind of meh for me. I found myself bored, honestly, and the writing style didn't really click with me. I didn't care much for the dialogue and didn't find the main characters to be likely, at all. I though it was a fairly quick read that could have used a little more depth. It wasn't all bad but overall this one just didn't do it for me.

Shark's Edge is book one in the latest collaboration between Angel Payne and Victoria Blue, the Shark's Edge series. As most readers familiar with these authors would expect, this is the beginning of a steamy, thrilling and addictive series.

Sebastian Shark is a dominating, alpha male who oozes a take charge, larger than life persona, while Abbi is a self-made entrepreneur, striving to make her catering business a success. Their first meeting is not all hearts and flowers, but there is no denying that some serious sexual tension is front and centre.

This first of the series simply whets the appetite for more , so let’s hope we’re not waiting long for the next instalment.

An interesting plotline and characters. Overall good writing. I liked how the story was fast-paced. The plot kept me hooked from start to finish.

This is a good begging with a lot of questions left unanswered for the next book. The very best thing about this story is that like the shark that he is, Sebastian is relentless. He takes over with an unmatched cockiness even when in actuality he is putty in Abbigail's hands. Which is nice to read BTW. The man has no choice but to change his ways and bend over a little, be more forgiving and open to receive help. Also learn to apologize...a lot LOL. But if he wants her in his life in any sort of way he will have to accept that she brings with her a lot of firsts for him. This story feels dangerous and Sebastian's ability to care and come on top has just started to get tested.

OMG, loved it! I couldn’t put it down and now, it has left me wanting more. This is my first Angel Payne and Victoria Blue read and they didn’t disappoint. This story has a little bit of everything; romance, suspense, alpha male, strong warm woman and humor. I can’t wait for the next two books in the series. Great writing Angel and Victoria!

SHARK’S EDGE By Angel Payne and Victoria Blue
OMG!!! These two are each phenomenal in their own right but when they team up, they create something so very special together. Right out of the gate with a new series and I can tell it is going to be absolutely AWESOME!!! I wanted to throw my kindle across the room when I ran out of book, I am so ready for book 2. I am thankful it is short wait on books 2 & 3.
Sebastian and Abbigail are two of the most unlikely to be paired up. He is a mid thirties self assured self made billionaire with issues. She is the young lunch caterer from Abstract Catering that brings his lunch daily. Angel and Victoria have given us drama, intrigue, chemistry, a solid well written story with even great secondary characters in Rio, Grant, Pia and Vela. I don’t like to give anything away, so I am not saying anything more. I definitely give this 5 stars!

I absolutely loved Sebastian and Abbigail’s story. Sebastian is a man who is trying for his dream to become a reality. In this case it is the most luxurious skyscraper is LA. But he has to deal with a media nightmare first when someone has committed suicide and says it is due to their relationship.
Abbigail is a self made business woman who happens to be in the catering business. This is where her attraction to Sebastian first starts. It is a great story and I can’t wait to see what happens next with these two.

Jumping into the deep end...

When Angel Payne and Victoria Blue combine their writing creative juices, you know you are going to get something special.

Sebastian Shark is the epitome of Alpha male. Dominant in the boardroom and the bedroom. He needs to be in charge of his world. His name suits him to a "T". A predator in a 3 piece designer suit. His current prey is Abbigail Gibson, a sassy business woman on the rise to taking her catering profession to the next level. She has yearned and fantasized about Sebastian for what seems forever. She dreams about serving herself up to him on a platter instead of the lunch fare she normally delivers to him.

Sebastian is in turmoil every time Abbi is in his perimeter. He does not understand why he is so attracted to this too young, too green vixen with the flaming red hair. She is so off the radar of what his usual "type" of woman is. This story has amazing secondary characters and a twisty plot line that I am sure will develop in the next book and I look forward to reading it.

Who knew that lust can turn to so much more over a sandwich and salad. Abbigail has always had the hots for Sebastian Shark and every time she delivers him his lunch those feelings only become stronger and stronger. Little does she know that Shark actually feels the same way. When passion finally ignites will Shark be able to continue with Abbi, especially once her secret is revealed? Will Shark be able to continue ruling the world when woman from his past seem to be dropping like flies? With strategically planned characters and a storyline that has left me on the edge of my seat I truly enjoyed this book and look forward to finding out what happens next in the future ones in the series.

Phenomenal writers in their own right, together they're absolutely brilliant. I loved the character lead characters. Sebastian is such a complex man that you can't help but fall in love with, and Abbigail is a sassy lady that will have you laughing. They are absolutely perfect for each other! I can't wait to see what happens next! Ladies, you did an amazing job!

Book One of the "Shark's Edge" series.

This was an enjoyable book, it is listed as Romance but I would list it in Erotica as well as it did venture into that category for me.

Abbigail Gibson runs Abstract Catering with her sister-in-law Rio. When Abbi lands the job of catering lunch for Shark Enterprises, she had no idea that she would come face to face with no other than the CEO Sebastian Shark, and when she does she is impossibly attracted to him, even though his arrogance is over the tope and he labels her with the annoying nickname of Little Red.

Suffice to say that the attraction goes both ways and bachelor Sebastian finds it extremely difficult to keep his thoughts and hands off the delectable Abbigail Gibson.

The book keeps you interested until the end and it definitely leaves you wanting to read the next book in the series - Shark's Pride.

Thanks to Netgalley and Waterhouse Press for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I have read books written by these authors separately and together, so I was stoked to get the chance to read this new series. Right out the gate I could not stand Sebastian. This guy was not an alpha. He was an overgrown child (with way too much money and power) who seemed to be turned on by the tears of a woman he claimed was too young for him. However, that didn't stop him from leering at her and touching her without asking. While Abbi wasn't experienced and had a wicked crush on Sebastian, I just didn't buy these two as a thing. Their so-called chemistry was more contrived than organic (i.e. 50 Shades of Gray minus the Red Room - or maybe that's coming up in one of the future installments). And why oh why are some authors still stuck on writing about 20+ year old virgins being pursued by an older man (or men)? Seriously, who's fantasizing about this? #cantrelate. I'm not sure who the authors' target audience is, but this book was just didn't do it for me.
