Such a brilliant book!
I adore books about travel and food and this had it in tonnes! Really likeable characters that are a pleasure to spend time with. Loved seeing Cat connect with her bus buddies and then watching her meet with someone from her past.
Completely captivating, it took me away from the cold February day and transported me to Europe. Such beautiful descriptions of the places visited and food/drink consumed 🍷🥖🧀🥐
The friendships made (and rekindled) were so heartwarming, it was so lovely to spend time on the tour!

Really loved this book! I loved the premise of it and really found myself bonding with the character of Cat. This book really reminded me of the works of Mandy Baggot or Julie Caplin (a complete compliment!) so if they are on your bookshelves, this book should certainly join them!

THAT NIGHT IN PARIS is a sweet no el with a very swoony French love interested and lots of girl squad goodness.

I was slightly disappointed as this book is 85% girl gang and only 15% romance. The romance portion was so brief that there was almost no conflict so it felt a bit unrealistic. The only conflict is the female lead overcoming her fear of heartbreak.

O lala Jean Luc! You just stole my heart and entire parts of the book. Even though I didn’t like so much heroine and the way she’s turning herself into runaway thankfully-not a bride after sleeping with her roommate. See!
You shouldn’t drink more than you can handle! Your running achy legs will pay for your mistakes.
So she runs away and takes a tour to Europe and meet with three amazing women who deserve their own books and my spidey (mostly spider) senses tell me that they’re going to get it sooner.

So this is soft, entertaining, relaxing, joyful, satisfying, feel-good holiday reading which makes you want to take a European tour without Griswolds urgently. It’s not seeing beautiful things, discovering touristic attractions, remarkable sightseeing and history behind. This book is about a woman’s self-discovery and questioning her life.

This book’s main idea made me remember a great part of one of my favorite poems Kavafis’ poem named” City”. And here is the part: “You won’t find a new country, won’t find another shore. The city always pursue you. “ So by running away from her present life, Cat runs into her inevitable future.

When Cat runs from her life and stats away from her relationship, she starts to form new bounds with new friends and faces a person from her past.

This is more smiling, less drama book with happy ending warms your heart. I think this is such an amazing break for me after thriller binge reading. I only cut my star because I still found the heroine obnoxious. Thankfully we’re soooo lucky to have charming hero at our side.

Overall: Sweet, swoony, fast pacing, intriguing, highly recommended to read at your holiday, sipping your margarita or any cocktail choice you may decide (mine is always mojito or martini), feeling the sea breeze, smiling nonchalantly.

I love all books Paris and this one did not disappoint. It follows Cat, who slept with her flat mate and declared his love, runs away on a bus tour across Europe to get away from the situation. Along the way, she meets 3 women who become close friends. As they are in Paris, she runs into her old best friend from grade school in Australia. Her complicated relationship past complicates things to say the least. This book was incredible. The countries they visited, the adventures they went on, all the wine, was a delight to read! This was my first book from this author and am looking forward to reading her others. What a fantastic read! ❤️

I thought this was a good book premise but not a great book. The cover is stunning. I don't want to be unkind and I know the writer spent a lot of time on this book and I have to leave some kind of review so I will simply say this one wasn't for me. My apologies.

This book was hard to put down. I devoured it in two sittings. The story was so captivating it made you not want it to end. I love it!

This book definitely grew on me as I read, It. Cat decided to go away on a coach tour after a drunken one-night stand with her flatmate. Bonding with a group of girls (plus a few of the boys) she met an old friend totally out of the blue in Paris.
With descriptions of the places that they visited, some of which I have been fortunate enough to visit myself, the author brought these to life for me and I was distinctly peckish after reading descriptions of the food as well....
Behind the descriptions of the tour this story is about Cat learning to make new friends and, even more importantly, open herself to the prospect of having love, rather than just friends with benefits, relationships.
This is the first book by this author that I have read and, certainly based on this book, it will not be the last.

That Night in Paris is a fun, light, feel good book. I loved visiting so many sites that Ms. Barker wrote about so well.

Cat books a whirlwind European holiday after she makes things awkward by sleeping with a roommate - and then more awkwardness ensues when she runs into an old friend in Paris!

This has all the stuff I loved from the first book - travel, fun travel buddies (my shy, introverted self lives vicariously through Barker's characters!) and romantic dilemmas. But I think I enjoyed this one even more because the romance wasn't split two ways and there was a lovely amount of pining mixed in with denial. Also Jean-Luc was such a scene-stealer. xD A great beach read (or for when you want to pretend you're on a beach lol) for lovers of chicklit.
