Short stories are wonderful reading, when they are witty and sharp it is even better. This is a talented author, packing a fun punch into a small space. There are a variety of stories and characters, each with their own voice. There is much joy in simply plunging in to read- go for it.

Salt Water is just one of many excellent stories that Sef Hughes has written making this one of the best collection I have had the pleasure to read in a long time. The mixture of styles, subjects, and emotions are all on display from a talented author that has mastered the short story craft. Read it an enjoy.

Cannot recommend this short story collection highly enough; a mixture of humorous and weird, almost gothic and dark, bizarre verging on sinister storytelling, as far as the themes and the atmosphere are concerned.
