This book is available for purchase on May 26, 2020. This is my first Bree Baker book. I love the play on words with the A Call for Kelp, very witty. Unfortunately, this book is not published by Hallmark, so we will not be seeing this as a TV movie as soon as I would hope, but I am hoping with all this downtime, screenwriters and all of those TV people are on the lookout for a good book to option into a movie or TV series. Is Reese Witherspoon listening? HELLO??? I love me a good mystery on TV. This is just what we need right now, a murder mystery that we can watch with the kids. I can see this as a Lifetime or preferably a Hallmark Mystery.

We begin this story with Everly Swan, the owner of the seaside iced tea shop owner. Everly (Taylor Cole would make a great baker for this part!) is recording short instructional videos for the café’s website. The town has gathered to catch a glimpse at Mitzi Calgon (can we PLEASE cast Jen Lily???), the pirate movie equivalent of Princess Leia. Everly’s great-aunt, who is also a beekeeper has secured Mitzi Calgon’s support in a documentary to save the American honeybee and she is currently in town for a celebratory luncheon. This is set in a town called Charm in North Carolina, a little barrier island. There are some cute spots to film this for real in South Carolina. Sullivan’s Island perhaps? This book truly came alive on the pages for me! I saw everything happening, like it was on my screen in my living room and I pictured it on the TV. I LOOOVED this book. There is quite the murder mystery in this book and I loved the way that the café only has a chalkboard because the menu changes based on what she has available. The family bond, the remembering of Grandma Hazel. This book made me giggle and OMG. This was so well written from the development of the characters down to the detail of the fashion. I was well impressed and want this optioned for some sort of Movie, TV, etc. Since this is a series and well this is Book 4 of three others that I failed to read previously, but will put those books on my To read list, as soon as I unearth myself from all of the books I have been sent for reviews!

The Seaside Cafe' series is such a fun series to read with the great island setting on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and realistic, likable recurring characters. Everly Swan owns a tea shop and cafe' in the large two story house that she bought on the beach where she lives upstairs and has her shop downstairs. Included with the house is a special gull named Lou and a cat that comes and goes as she pleases named Maggie. Everly comes from a family of strong women, having been raised by her now deceased grandmother and is close to her Aunts Clara and Fran. They are beekeepers and a documentary is being made about their life and the importance of bees. Unfortunately, a retired film star, Mitzi Calgon, who is planning to narrate the documentary is killed during the festivities to promote the film. Mitzi was close to Everly's grandmother and had planned to share about their friendship and some letters of correspondence between them but was killed before she could do that. Everly, along with Ryan, a reporter from New York City, is thrown into investigating the murder. Her special friend, Detective Grady Hays, would prefer that she stay out of it, especially since someone is sending her threatening messages to stay out of it.
This is a great addition to the series with a mystery that kept me guessing and, of course, Everly just can't stay out of danger. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I received a complimentary ARC from Poisoned Pen Press through NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Another charming visit with Everly Swan and her aunts in Charm, NC. This is a delightful story with engaging characters and a satisfying mystery to be solved. The relationship between Everly and Grady is progressing well and her relationship with Grady's son is very sweet. I really enjoy spending time at the beach with the characters in this series. Looking forward to the next installment!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book.

Everly Swan is back, serving up delicious homemade tea at her cafe, Sun, Sand, and Tea and enjoying life in the coastal town of Charm, North Carolina. She is looking forward to a visit from Mitzi Colgan, a star of the silver screen and a friend to her late grandmother. Mitzi has promised to assist with a documentary centered around saving the bees that Everly's great aunts are producing. Production on the documentary however comes screeching to a halt once Mitzi is found murdered in a most brutal fashion. Detective Grady Hays has his hands full between investigating this new murder and wrapping up an old case for his ex mother in law. Everly of course is most eager to investigate, even at the expense of her own safety. As she delves deep into the case, determined to bring justice to her Grandmother's friend, she finds herself the center of the killer's attention.

Readers are in for a treat with the newest offering in the Seaside Cafe series. The author once again breaths some life into Coastal North Carolina with her glimpse into life in the picturesque town of Charm. Everly is sharp, supportive, and emotionally complex; a strong main character who is also adept at solving murders. Answers to questions left over from the previous stories in the series will start to come together as some much anticipated light is shed on Denise, as well as Grady's former inlaws. The mystery was compelling with a satisfying ending and the story behind the main murder was full of character growth for many of Charm's beloved residents. I do hope to see my two favorites, Lou the seagull and Maggie the cat featured again in forthcoming stories.

Hollywood Comes To Charm.....
Book four in the Seaside Cafe series of mysteries. The island of Charm is abuzz with excitement when a famous Hollywood starlet arrives in town. When said actress turns up dead Everly, tea-shop keeper extraordinaire, dons her amateur sleuthing cap once again. A fun cosy with an endearing cast and a worthy addition to the series.

The 4th in the series of Everly, who owns a shop on the small North Carolina island. First I’ve read in the series but wasn’t lost. Fun story, with plenty of quirky characters. Gotta love small towns. Good cozy mystery and one I highly recommend.

This is the 4th installment in the Seaside Café Mystery series. In Charm North Carolina, Everly Swann runs Sun, Sand and Tea Shoppe and she is excited when a famous Hollywood actress Mitzi Calgon is in town to help her Great Aunts with their documentary on beekeeping. Mitzi was a friend of Everly’s Grandmother so when she ends of dead Everly is going to work to find the killer. Detective Grady Hays has his hands full but when the killer turns to Everly (threatening notes, break-ins) they work together to find the killer. I just love her Aunts Clara and Fran and all the other characters in this charming town. This was a fast paced read which kept me engaged from the very beginning to the end. Enjoyable series and this is one of the best yet.

You’ll want to make a beeline for the bookstore the day this book goes on sale! Sun, Sand and Tea is a delightful seaside tea shop owned by Everly Swan in scenic Charm, North Carolina. You could find me any day sitting in the warm ocean breezes enjoying an iced cold flavored tea!

As Everly’s great aunts, Clara and Fran Swan continue their quest to educate the masses on how to save the honeybees, a documentary production to be narrated by aging actress, Mitzi Calgon is stalled by a horrific murder.

Detective Grady Hays now has this case to deal with plus wrapping up an investigation he’s been working on for his ex-mother-in-law, Senator Olivia Denver. Naturally, Everly can’t keep her nose out of the developing news and begins to receive threatening texts and a break-in at home. Mitzi’s biggest fan, an eclectic guy called Canary provides clues about Mitzi’s past and who the probable killer is, putting Grady and Everly in a dangerous position. I was surprised by the culprits identity. The author keeps the storyline tightly paced and swift moving. Book four is a fantastic addition to the previous stories in the Seaside Cafe Mystery series.

I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press. Thank you.

Who thought a documentary on bees would turn into a murder investigation?
Everley certainly didn’t think so until a dead body crosses her path.
This is a cute cozy mystery, filled with very likeable characters .

Tea shop owner Everly Swan is thrilled to have Mitzi Calgon, a famous Hollywood actress, and friend of her late grandmother, in town to help her great aunts with their documentary about beekeeping. When she is found dead, Everly is determined to get justice for her grandmother's friend.

A Call for Kelp is a delightful, well-written cozy mystery, with a picturesque setting, an intelligent, relatable main character, and a well-plotted murder mystery. This is one of my absolute favorite cozy mystery series and each book gets better and better. Bree Baker did an excellent job of developing Denise's character in this book, and I'm really happy that we finally got some answers to the mystery surrounding her and Grady's in-laws. Although I have a feeling that there is more to come with that storyline. I did correctly guess who the culprit was halfway through the story but couldn't figure out their motive. Overall, I was very satisfied with the conclusion. This is a fun, entertaining series and I highly recommend it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This series gets better and better with each installment, and this latest edition is no different. Full of beautiful settings, engaging characters, and a full bodied mystery, the reader will be hard pressed to put this one down before finishing. A delightfully delicious read.

When a documentary on saving bees goes horribly wrong, Everly Swan has to find a murderer before she or her aunts become the next victims!

I loved this book! Everly, iced tea shop owner in the seaside town of Charm, North Carolina, is a main character who is smart, kind and complicated. She is charmingly written (no pun intended) and has the same life concerns everyone faces - well, except chasing murderers! The supporting characters are well written and have interesting stories of their own. The growing relationship between Everly and Detective Hays is a joy to read, as is her relationship with her beloved aunts. Animals play a role in the book and I hope to see more of Lou the seagull and Maggie the cat. I think those two have their own mystery!

When I read a book that makes me "feel" for the characters situations - such as Everly's search for information about her Grandmother in A Call for Kelp, I know the series is perfect for me and this one is perfect!

I received an ARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review of this book.

It’s a delightful cosy mystery, set in Charm, NC. Everly Swan owns an iced tea shop by the shore. Mitzi was a friend of Everly’s grandmother and Everly hopes to learn more about her grandmother. Then, Mitzi is dead and Everly is determined to find justice. With a cat and a seagull to keep her company, Everly saves the day again. A fun, easy read. I look forward to more in the series by Ms. Baker.

This is a cozy mystery with the weight on COZY. You really get to know the characters and the setting, and they are great. The story has something happening all the time, and even though there's a lot about food, it's very fitting.
