It's a very fun, easy read that I could totally see developed as a mini-series or as a short run tv show. Complete beach read.

If someone was asked to say who you are by what's on your smart phone and/or social media presence, what would they say about you? What if you couldn't remember who you are and these are the only clues? That's what happens to Mia. Smart, snarky, and a little suspect, this book grabbed me and didn't let go! Just good plain fun with a little romance to boot.

The synopsis of this book grabbed me immedietely, amnesia is a fun trope and adding in the technology aspect seemed like a perfect way to figure out who she is. I call this kind of book chick lit fluff, not super deep but totally enjoyable. Mia's internal monologue was very "extra" and silly; also made me realize yet again that I am not young anymore. If you're looking for an escape from reality, this is it!

Siri, Who Am I is an amnesia trope mystery with a side of romance.

Mia wakes up in a hospital, not knowing who she is or how got there. Her purse has no ID, just a phone and a couple of keys.

Using her phone, she for clues about her identity. Siri tells her that her name is Mia. Her haircut (minus the staples from her head wound) is trendy, her dress is Prada - is she rich?

Mia's constant inner monologue is #hilarious. Such a fast, entertaining read that really drew me in as Mia slowly puts the pieces together, discovering who she is and how she ended up with a head injury. Mia doesn't just discover her identity, she also finds out who she wants to be.

This feels spot-on for our current Instagram-or-it-didn't-happen reality. Very reflective of how we curate our reality.

Ever wonder what it is like to wake up and have no idea what happened, who you are and why you are in a hospital room? Using her phone you ask Siri, who am I? an find out your name is Mia. Your social media doesn't give you a good enough clue but can hopefully point you in the right direction. That is what happens to Mia, trying to figure out why you have staples in your head and have no memory of what happened. She is trying to put the pieces together but as she does, is her life really want she wants?

Cute book that you don’t have to concentrate too much on just a quick escape from reality. I read it quite quickly with very little thought to things going on around me. I love a book that draws you in and keeps your attention

This started soooo strong for me. I loved the writing style, I loved the main character’s voice, I loved the dialogue with the love interest. I was very excited for a deliciously fun rom-com.
Then things veered sharply into semi-gritty thriller territory and floundered in and out of there for the rest of the book. None of this was indicated in the marketing or the tone of the first part of the book, so I was pretty surprised and a little stressed out. Nothing wrong with a thriller, but I was not emotionally prepared to read about abusive drug lords, exploitation of sex workers, or death by giant snake.
I will probably read more by this writer because I did really love the writing, I think that’s the best thing about the book and I couldn’t stop laughing out loud (during the less anxiety-inducing scenes, anyway), but it’s not something I would seek out when I really want a light, fun, stress-relieving read.

Imagine What Alice Forgot, but amplify the zany factor. A lot. When a millennial influencer wakes up in the hospital remembering nothing about her life, she sleuths her way through her own Instagram posts @mia4realz to put the pieces back together—and she’s not thrilled with what she discovers. This book was silly and ridiculous and completely over the top and so much fun, the perfect mood read for a tense time. The plot is (more than) a little implausible, but the sense of humor was superb and often had me laughing out loud.

I think I’m out of the target audience for this one. Would have probably enjoyed more if I was Gen Z.

The voice of the main character was a little too "extra" for me, personally, but I will definitely recommend this to the younger set who might get a kick out of all the text-speak and hashtags. This book was also funny at times and ultimately a sweet story.

Based on Instagram photos, her Uber driver drops her at a luxurious apartment and she opens the door to find Max, a neuroscientist house sitter for a wealthy man named JP, who Mia hopes is her husband/boyfriend. Max agrees to help Mia recover her memories and find out who she is! Fast paced, inventive, and funny, this book is a must read for rom-com and mystery lovers!

Siri, Who Am I? is laugh-out-loud funny – as in splitting-your-sides, tears-running-down-your-face, can’t-even-talk-you’re-cracking-up-so-hard kind of funny!

A tale for a modern era, a young woman wakes up in the hospital without a clue who she is. Mia doesn’t have any ID on her when she lands in the emergency ward, but she does have her cell phone, a set of house keys and the yellow Prada party dress she was wearing when admitted.

In a moment of inspiration (or is it desperation?), Mia grabs her cell phone and starts going through her contacts list and apps for clues. This doesn’t prove as easy as one would have thought, however, and she embarks on a madcap search to retrace her steps via her Instagram posts in order to – literally – find herself.

In a world where nothing really happens unless it’s posted online, Mia begins to question who she was pre-accident and if that’s really the Mia she was meant to be.

Funny, charming, and beguiling, this novel is sure to put a smile on your face an Instagrammable glimmer in your heart. Five stars for an original and highly-entertaining read!

I was really excited about this book from the description so I’m very sorry to say it’s horrible. I love the amnesia genre so I thought this would be a fun twist with the Instagram angle but unfortunately it’s a bore. There is actually very little Instagram sleuthing involved in figuring out who Mia is and far too little plot. Mia could have been a fine character for the book as the flighty amnesiac if it had been humorous but unfortunately the author made her crass which did not work. There were far too many references to sex acts, and at times for money, and she even has sex with a man she doesn’t know and doesn’t like while later on making arguments about feminism. I could not have rolled my eyes harder! I was really hoping for a fun light read but I was bored. I love funny footnotes but the ones in this book did not work. They did not actually seem funny and worst of all they were not on the same page as the text so they did not make sense when I got to them. In my kindle they were not clickable so it did not make sense. Possibly the only redeeming part of the novel was the sidekick character Max who would have been fun as the smart foil to Mia but constant references to his race and stereotyping got old fast and then he basically disappeared for the whole middle of the book. Overall this book was tedious and slow with nothing moving plot forward so it really dragged and was hard to force myself to keep picking it up to finish. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This book was just "meh" for me. I loved the premise, really enjoyed the mystery, but didn't love the fact that the two lead characters fell for each other in such a ridiculous manner, and within such a small time frame. I know books aren't always meant to be believable, but it was hard for me to suspend my belief enough for these two to have fallen in love given the circumstances. Other than that, cute book and an easy read.

I will not deny that I requested this title because I was in the need of a humorous read and something that didn't require a huge amount of thought. The title alone and description of the story dove me right into necessity of needing this title. While I don't normally gravitate towards what I call chick-lit, this was needed mentally for me in such an odd time.

Mia at the beginning of our story wakes up in a hospital with no memory of who she is or how she got there. She is unfortunately dealing with amnesia and with the help of her phone and the many aspects of social media, she begins on her journey of discovering who she was and just how she ended up in the hospital to begin with. Was she someone famous or important? Rich or poor? This book goes through it all, especially all of her ups and downs.

It is hard for me to compare this to other stories because as I said this is outside of my realm of reading, however, it was such an entertaining read because you of course had to know what happened the night she lost her memory, and you really want to discover who she was prior to her accident. What I loved about the book without giving too much away was how much Mia grows because of her accident. Sometimes we may not like what we discover about ourselves and losing ones memory such as this can be almost eye opening. What's funny is that there is romance in our story, but in reality I didn't think it was necessary to the story and the character development of Mia. To some extent yes it was needed but not completely. I loved the direction that it took in the end.

This isn't of course a classic piece of literature and it sure pokes at the lifestyles of millenials and how social media runs our world. If you are over that hype I wouldn't read it. I also will say that I particularly didn't care for the footnotes. They were humorous yes, but I felt like they could have just been said versus having them. I particularly as a reader don't tend to look at footnotes.

Nevertheless, if you are looking for a fluff read in the future (date to be published is January 2021) then I would definitely recommend this!

However, I absolutely loved this book! It was a fun, quick, and light read and I loved the overall message that the author conveyed.

What would you do if you woke up in the hospital and couldn't remember your name? What would you do if you couldn't remember where you lived? What would you do if you couldn't remember anything about your life? That's exactly what happens to Mia. Upon waking up in a hospital, Mia is suffering from a memory loss. She doesn't know anything about who she is. She doesn't know how she ended up in the hospital. Heck, she doesn't even know her name. Luckily, she has her cell phone to help her. She uses her Instagram account as she puts together bits and pieces of her life. She discovers that she lives with her boyfriend. But, when she finally finds his house, he's not there. Instead she meets Max, the house sitter. Together, they discover several things from Mia's past and she's not so sure she likes the person who she was. She also discovers that she is developing feelings for Max. As pieces of her life come together, Mia starts becoming a different person. So how does this all end for Mia? You will have to read and find out; no spoilers from me.

I enjoyed this book so much!! I loved the author's writing style and I would definitely read more of her books! Siri, Who Am will be released on 1/12/2021

Mia awakens with no memory. In order to put together her life and remember who she is, Mia and a friend comb through her social media history to figure out the mystery of her past. Just who is Mia? Can she begin a new life? I loved the concept of using social media to decipher WHO someone truly is.....social media and the way we portray ourselves is an interesting topic in our current climate. Well written and entertaining.

This book tells the story of an amnesiac who is left to figure out her life from her phone and social media. I liked this book, I just found some of the plot twists super unrealistic. I feel like the author built up this big mystery on who gave her amnesia and the build up was so intense but the answer was not at all dramatic. I did really like the romance in it. Max is easily one of the cutest rom-com guys I’ve ever read about. I loved the self-growth within the main character by the end of the book, and I always like when the main character doesn’t just stay in a situation because it's easier. However, I also found the main character really annoying and her denial of obvious answers really bothersome, but she made up for it by the end. I give this book 3 stars, I really like the concept of knowing nothing about yourself except for what is on your phone, and the romance between Mia and Max was worth the read. But, I didn’t like the ending, and I found this book hard to read because of how unrealistic some of the reveals were. If you are able to set aside your belief in reality, then this book may be perfect for you. I didn’t expect the need to have to do that, and was very confused by some logistics. This was an interesting and dramatic read, and I give it 3 stars! Thanks NetGalley for letting me read this in exchange for an honest review.

Mia wakes up from a coma with short-term amnesia. She has no recollection of who she is and how she got to the hospital. She remembers the Kardashians but doesn't even know if her parents are alive. She realises she must be wealthy because of her Prada dress and Chanel lipstick but the only way to find out is to retrace her steps once she leaves the hospital. With the help of Siri, Instagram and Max, the cute house-sitter, Mia tries to find out more about herself. Who is Mia? Was the head wound an accident? Is it too late for her to rewrite her story?

Tschida showed an accurate representation of social media and how everything can be faked online. People only show the good bits but it makes you wonder who they are behind closed doors. Are their lives actually that glamorous? It's so important for us to make sure that once we log out of Instagram and put our phone down that we are happy with our real life.

The twists and turns this take will take you by surprise. I was on the edge of my seat as Mia started to uncover the truth and the memories start coming back to her. I wouldn't classify this as a romance but there is a romantic relationship that's important to the narrative. Mia isn't the most likeable character. In fact, the more you learn about her, the less you like her but there is self-reflection and redemption so not all hope is lost. And I think this accident was the best thing that happened to her LOL!

I was a little bit underwhelmed with the ending because of all of the buildup prior to it. An epilogue or a few extra pages would've been great but maybe that's not the author intended for the book so I get that.

Mia wakes up in a hospital with amnesia. She knows nothing about herself, her life, or how she got her head injury. Thank to Siri, she at least learns her name before setting off to discover who she is and what happened to her. Using her social media accounts and the friends she meets along the way, Mia begins to find answers to the many questions surrounding her. But she soon realizes that not everything is as she expected it to be, and maybe she wasn't who she wants to be either.
While some plot events and certain actions taken by the characters are bit unrealistic, I still wanted to keep reading to see what was going to happen. I found this book to be a unique and fresh concept, and it was an overall enjoyable light read.
