Big Nate never disappoints. My kids LOVED this book. Once again, Peirce is able to create an engaging and hilarious book that makes kids excited about reading. I really enjoy this series and have had good luck getting my more reluctant readers to start liking reading with Big Nate. It's a great jumping off point that will often lead my students to other graphic novel series. Highly recommend.
I'm an adult. A fully grown adult and I LOVE the Big Nate Books! I look forward to reading every new one that comes out and reread old copies.
Really great series for middle grade readers. My son loved this book and the entire series. He recommended it to all of his friends. Good content; pulls kids in but does not toe the line on what is appropriate for cheap laughs.
My son (10) loved this, as he loves all the Big Nate books. Recommend to fans of the series. Good art and a fun story for kids, with lots of laughs.
My son loves these books and was so excited to read this one. It is full of adventure and humor and perfect for the kids in your life!
Another in the Big Nate series that will surely entertain those who are already fans. Each one keeps getting funnier with slightly edgier (but still clean) jokes and storylines. Great for kids who like WImpy Kid or Dork Diaries.

This is the second Big Nate book I have read, and it was hilarious.
In this installment Nate gets a girlfriend. He gets into a bit of mischief as usual. And he has lots of fun with his friends. What's not to like?! All in all very entertaining with lots of very laughable moments.
I never got this book so I cannot review. I wish I could review it or even read it to my son who lives this series. Maybe another time
If you are a Big Nate fan this is another fun one to add to the collection. It is humor for later elementary and middle school readers to enjoy. If you haven't read any yet then it is about Nate along with his friends and family. This one actually might not be the one to start reading since it really continues the story from other books. Read one of the other ones first. Nate and his family and friends have tons of fun together with well developed characters. This one is about a girl Nate meets at a fair and she becomes his girlfriend.
Big Nate has a girlfriend! And she's a seventh grader! I wish there had been a little more repercussions for Nate being a little gross about Trudy- or at least some more realization on Nate's part that she might not want to be talked about like she was around just for Nate's pleasure but there is little that pierces Nate's shield of obliviousness.
Overall a fun book.

Nate gets himself a girlfriend!
This is one of the better installments of this series. Nate is still funny and snarky and sarcastic, but there's still a healthy amount of heart here. I really enjoy these books and this series. I've heard complaints that the attitude displayed isn't good for the young kids, but I feel like the age range is perfect for this amount of sass.
Another solid book in the Big Nate series. I read with my daughter and she loved it. She wanted to read another one when it was over.

I downloaded this book for my 7yo, as he is a fan of Calvin and Hobbes, as well as the Treehouse and Wimpy Kid series'. While it was an entertaining enough read, the content itself was aimed at an older age group than my kiddo - approx. 10 yos or above.
It would possibly have been more enjoyable if we'd read the other books in the series to get the feel of the characters and storyline. This isn't a standalone book. Nevertheless, we'll keep it in mind for when my son is older, and we'll see how he goes with it then.
Thanks to NetGalley and Andrews McMeel publishing for providing me with a free copy of this book in return for an honest review. OK, I admit it. I am 66 years old and still love comics! Discovered Big Nate about 5 years ago and read it every day. This is a wonderful collection of the Big Nate strip, a 6th grader who had bad hair, hates Social Studies and his arch nemesis is the SS teacher Mrs. Godfrey. But what makes this collection interesting is that a lot focuses on Nates girlfriend, a 7th grade lass named Trudy. Really liked these plots and the entire comic is infused with good characters, although we don't get enough of Chad. Lincoln Peirce has done a good job developing his characters and Big Nate always brings some sort of smile or grimace to my face depending on his situation. Loved it!!
Good fun book. My 4th graders love Big Nate! In this one Nate has a seventh grade girlfriend, a whole year older than him. It’s fun to see Nate’s interactions with his friends and family as well.
Big Nate by author Lincoln Pierce is a fun and silly book for children. We absolutely loved reading the newest Big Nate book!

My son read this in 1 hour. His request is for more!! Keep it going! It was more interesting than the others.
After my son has read his way through many of the Big Nate books, I finally took the opportunity to sit down with him and we read it together. Definitely good humor, though skipping arpund a bit in the story sometimes led to slight confusion at times. Overall, I enjoyed it and won't hesitate to contine to recommend this series to readers. My son agreed he liked it, but not his favorite of the series, he's enjoyed others a lot more.
Big Nate is growing up and this time, we meet a girlfriend...a girlfriends who is older! While I didn't appreciate some of the language used in this book (ie: cougar town, fat, etc), my kids loved this book and wanted to read from start to finish. The band goes through some changes and middle school continues to be a challenge for dear Nate. Overall, a well written next book for Lincoln Pierce.
It's always a good day when I have a new Big Nate book. The kids love these books and never realize that they are reading vocabulary above their grade level. The book is also hysterically funny which appeals almost to everybody. Nate's issues are ones that the kids can relate to, expecially his unrequited love for Jenny and his subsequent finding of a girl who likes him back.
