Hmm... I mean, the blurb seemed interesting but the characters ended up being boring and bland.
Not liking it much.
M Jay Granberry slayed this mm book. Seth and Adam are characters that you can’t help but love. This story is sexy with the right amount of drama. These characters are both from the author’s debut novel Exquistely Broken but it doesn’t need to be read to follow this book. It is a beautiful journey as you follow both men discover love and heartbreak.
When something just clicks with an author and their style of writing, you get all kinds of excited when you learn they have a new book coming out. I adored the first installment in the Sin City Tales series and couldn't wait to dive into book two, Exquisitely Hidden.
This is Adam and Seth's story and boy was it full of drama. There was so much angst between the two of them where their relationship was concerned. One was ready to be seen and the other one was hesitant, hence the heartbreak and emotional turmoil. I was torn for the two of them, because they both deserved happiness. There was a lot of difficult decisions to make and a lot of feelings teetering on the edge but the author kept you glued to the pages, eager to see how it was all going to play out.
The plot itself is enough to suck you in, but Seth and Adam will certainly play with your heart. Granberry, yet again, brings a fresh voice to the rocker/rock star genre and I was so happy with the way this one turned out. And even if you're not a M/M reader, their story is one that needs to be read.
I'm excited there's going to be another installment to the series!
This author emailed out to say that a mistake had been included in the copy and to note review it.
I did not read this copy and do not intend to. As of yet, I have not received an updated copy, but will certainly be interested in reading and reviewing if I receive an updated copy. For now, I am respecting the wishes of the author and conveying this to NetGalley and the publisher that my one-star rating is not indicative of the book, but merely because I was required to rate the book.
This was an enjoyable read. I like the dynamics and relationships between the band and the security team. It's steamy hot and intriguing. I thought some parts were a little rushed but overall it's a good read.
Exquisitely Hidden was just one I couldn’t get into. It’s a M/M which I usually don’t read unless it’s mixed into another novel. I’m not saying it’s not a good book because I didn’t read past the first few chapters. Just not my genre.
"He was everything I needed when I thought I had it all…"
What a fantastic read. M. Jay Grandberry does a great job of telling the story of Adam and Seth, two men trying to figure out how to love each other while hiding their feelings to the outside world. Anything more could expose them and ruin everything they've worked for.
This was a fast and emotional story. I highly recommend it and look forward to reading more from this talented author.
I received a free ARC from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for a honest review.

Exquisitely Hidden is a story about a security team, the rock band they protect and the relationships between them. It's about the faces we put on to make us more acceptable to the world around us and what wonderful things can happen when we remove the mask and be our true selves. Among those other things, this is the story of two men, and their love for each other. Well drawn characters, who capture the readers imagination as well as their hearts, is M. Jay Granberry's superpower!
Thanks #Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of #ExquisitlyHidden in return for an honest review.
I haven't read many MM books and I believe Exquisitely Hidden was well done! I will definitely read more from this author.
Great MM read about falling in love despite your own insecurities. Adam is still in the closet when he falls for his bodyguard. Their chemistry is red hot and so sexy but Adam refuses to come out for Seth so we get lots of back and forth, will they or won't they throughout the book that was a bit distracting. There was also so aspects of the story I felt were rushed, like the resolution to his sister's care. Overall a good read with a HEA. I'll look out for more stories from this author. Four chilli peppers of hotness!
I received a free ARC from the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts are my own.
I haven’t read that many MM books in the past, I did love the way that the author made Seth and Adam relatable and you can’t help but love them.
Adam is in a band and Seth is hired to help for the tour. This was an instant love between them, there is just one issue with that. Adam hasn’t come out too many people and that makes a bit of a bumpy road for them both. After some heartache and tired of being alone he finally decides to how Seth how much he really cares for him. In the end they did get there HEA
This is my first book from this author and I can tell you now it won't be my last. I enjoyed this book a lot and although it's the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed all of the characters of Sin City. Of course Sin and Adam were my favorites because this book centers around the two of them more but I also enjoyed Dan and Miles. I love the relationship Sin and Adam had after having gone through so much in their early childhood, I love that they had each other. I also enjoyed Seth and Aiden's friendship. Now when it comes to Adam and Seth, holy hell. Their relationship was steamy and the chemistry between the two was undeniable. I enjoyed them together a lot however, I could have done with a little less of the back and forth with Adam. Other than that, this was one hell of a read. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author.
Adam is in the Sin City band and he hasn't come out to many people. He grew up in foster care so his childhood was rough. Seth is hired as a bodyguard when a stalker gets involved in the mix. The attraction between Adam and Seth is intense from the start. Seth has been out as a gay man for years and has no interest in being a dirty secret. The heartbreak is real with this story but I loved how the guys eventually get their happy ever after. A great rocker romance.
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
Exquisitely Hidden is a spectacular addition to the A Sin City Tale series by M Jay Granberry. Just like in the first book Exquisitely Broken, I was hooked immediately and could not put it down.
A closeted rocker who gets into a secret relationship with his bandmate's bodyguard. What follows is an emotional tale of living in the shadows with one's lover.
Dear god, this story is full of so much pain and hurt. Adam is publicly in denial of his feelings, unable to be out and true to himself. There is so much love between the two, but sometimes love isn't enough. There's intense chemistry, but Seth isn't willing to be in the closet.
This quote sums up the angst well. "I need some space because loving you is breaking my heart, and I can't stand it anymore."
Exquisitely Hidden is a heart-wrenching story of stolen nights and private moments. Damn, I love this story and this M Jay Granberry series so far. I look forward to more from this author.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS
What a great story! M. Jay has done an incredible job of writing Adam and Seth's story in a way that helps you connect to each man's struggle over loving another without being able to express themselves openly. This story was emotional and definitely worth the read!
Exquisitely Hidden is the second book in the Sin City Tales Series, and can be read as a standalone. I'm looking forward to reading more from M. Jay Granberry. If you are looking for a great MM romance, look no further as this is an EPIC read! Exquisitely Hidden by M. Jay Granberry will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
Exquisitely Hidden by M. Jay Granberry is the second book in the Sin City Tales series and it was an emotional story with all kinds of feels. Adam has it all. As a member of the band Sin City, the band are his family and they always come first. When Seth joins the band’s tour, the chemistry and connection with Adam is instant and strong. But Adam has not come out yet and Seth does not want to hide. Where does this leave them? We follow Seth and Adam as they struggle through their feelings and needs. Will they find their happily ever after? Their journey was heartbreaking and painful and I devoured it.

Genre: Romance
I enjoyed this read, liked catching up with the characters and seeing some of book one's events from a different angle. There's lots of drama for the band here at times, at others it just kind of plods along. I did find myself skipping a little then which is why its four, not five stars.
I love this kind of read where one person is out and proud and the other...well, not. That's Seth and Adam, Seth had been out for ages and doesn't like being kept hidden like a shameful secret, but Adam doesn't want to be the Poster Boy for Gays.
I can understand that, somehow its typical that we see folk who are different from the average person in terms of what they are, rather than who they are. I'm an amputee, I also paint. I want to be remembered for my art, not my disability, but whenever there's been any media publicity about art shows I've been involved in guess which gets the focus? :-( yep, the missing leg, and I'm more than that, just as Adam is more too. Gay is a part of him, what he is, but not all he is.
He's got lots of other issues too from his past, some of which Sin is aware, but even his best friend doesn't know everything. They've an uphill task if ever they're to find grounds for a relationship.
I enjoyed the will they won't they, on and off nature of their connection. Its hard, I so understood how Seth felt, and at times I dd get irritated with Adam, but such is the course of love, and I do like the downsides in my reading to cover a decent part. None of this its all off and heart break, then two pages later its all good stuff for me!
I did get confused over how the foster carer he had could be in her eighties? A bit extreme, it would make her in sixties when she had the kids in her care, I can't see that happening. Likewise the issues over Tori, one moment its all in the air, then next he's off on tour and we don't know where she is. There were quite a few typos and grammar errors too that niggled, but I'm hoping that's because I had an ARC and they'll have been corrected for final edition.
Stars: Four, a read I enjoyed, and I especially like Adam's Big Gesture at the end. Seth deserved that, he'd put up with a lot from Adam.
