I have been a faithful Danielle Steel reader since late middle school. Her books are always easy to get into and are always a quick read. This book was no different. You get to meet several characters and how their lives change as the actions that children take so to not follow in their parents footsteps.

This book was different than her other books, where there were not too many instances that the reader could predict what was going to happen. I will continue to be a faithful reader to the end!

It is so easy to fall into a DS book. This one was such an engrossing read, I barely looked up until the end. The Numbers Game is about powerful life lessons, no matter what the age. Pennie gets into trouble and pays a price, but in the end is a more mature young woman. Eileen discovers a devastating secret, one that transforms her life, and enriches it as well. Olivia believes she's in love, but realizes she's not ready for the all the baggage accompanying the relationship and thst she needs to choose more wisely. I thought Paul deserved what he got. My favorite characters were Gabrielle and Fredrico.

As usual, Danielle Steel captured me with this story. “The Numbers Game” had me drawn in from the first page. Sometimes making the right decision isn’t the best decision. This story of relationships and growing up was an easy read that I completed in a day.

I Love This Book! This is just one example of why Danielle Steel’s books continue to appear on the best seller list, and I have no doubt that this one will find its way there, as well. It is hard to find the words to describe the feelings that this book invoked. It touches on so many different areas of life: age, dreaming, hoping, disappointment. This book is a roller coaster of emotions, touching on change, and flaws.

What does one do when your world is turned upside down with no notice? How do you go about rebuilding your life from the ashes of a devasting experience? This story deals with everyday problems and solutions. From teenage pregnancy to stagnant marriage to reinvention. The female characters develop quite nicely, as the story moves on.

If you only read one Danielle Steel novel, which I hope would not be the case, make it this one. You won’t regret it. Thank you to NetGalley, Danielle Steel and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

It’s pure joy to read one of Danielle Steels’ books. I love a great storyline and well developed characters. This book does not disappoint. Eileen and Paul got married when Eileen got pregnant. That was about 16-17 years ago and now they also have twin sons. The story follows this family and the ancillary people that became involved in their lives. Often it is difficult to follow and keep up with several different characters and storylines but in typical Danielle Steel fashion, the story flows beautifully. The characters are interesting and could be my neighbors or relatives. Danielle Steel is one of my favorite authors and now, The Numbers Game, is one of my favorite books. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advance copy for my honest opinion.

A very enjoyable read from one of my favorite authors! It held my attention until the last page. Strong women characters who meet challenges head on and take second and third chances. Love at any age, teenage pregnancy, marriage, adultery, divorce, and moving on, are strong themes. .Each character in the story is identifiable, not always likable, but easy make a connection with. Thanks to Net Galley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Numbers Game was a wonderful book, it shows that no matter what life throws at you, if you pick yourself up and move on there can be wonderful things in store for you. I did enjoy the stories from unwanted pregnancy, to cheating, to breaking up, to falling in love. Lots of family drama, but also very realistic. I like that the female characters were portrayed as strong women who picked up the pieces and created their own second chances at happiness.

Eileen and Paul have built and ordinary life in Connecticut to raise their family. When they learn their daughter is pregnant, it brings back the past as they wound up getting married due to a pregnancy. Feelings and emotions that weren't expected are revealed and the marriage seems to become strained and questioned. When Eileen finds out there are more to Paul's late nights in the city than work, the marriage is questioned and decisions must be made. This book takes us through the decisions they are faced with and how they both nagivate through their new normal. As always a quick read! Thank you NetGalley for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

Compulsively readable, comfortable, and fun. Nobody writes a May-December romance like Steel. This one, taking readers to Paris and Le Cordon Bleu was an interesting take.

I really loved this book. It talks about marriage, divorce, single parenting, and love at different ages. It also talks about losing a child at stillborn. But the mother overcomes all odds and comes back on top. I also loved the fact that a 96 year old woman did welding. it inspired me that you can accomplish anything no matter how old you are. i also love that Danielle steel always manages to talk about forgiveness in her books which can be a hard thing sometimes.

Thank you to the publishers and to Danielle Steel for allowing me to read and review this book.

Steel's reads always feel like something that is happening in real life. The book follows Pennie, her mother Eileen and father Paul and his illustrious affair with Olivia. I don't want to give away the main story, but the publishers description says it best "At every age, there are challenges to be met and new worlds to discover. ...Steel gives us a warmhearted portrait of people driven by their emotions, life experiences, and loyalties, who realize that it’s never too late to turn a new page and start again. " Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book. Steel never lets a reader down!

The Numbers Game by Danielle Steele is another disappointing novel. The characters are one dimensional, the writing in trite and uninspiring and I didn't care about any of them as I read. It's almost as if Danielle Steel is no longer writing her novels and just slapping her name on them.

Paul and Eileen made it clear they were married because they had to be, as she was pregnant. After 18 years, their marriage was boring and she discovered he was having an affair, just as they discover their daughter is pregnant. Fortunately, the daughter miscarries, avoiding her parents' fate. But Paul leaves and really, who cares about any of this...like their marriage, this book is boring. Don't bother.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of this novel for my honest review.

Another great story by Danielle Steel! I am truly in awe of her writing abilities. She is always able to keep me interested until the end in The Numbers Game. I like the diversity in which she can tell a story. This book hits close to home in today's headlines and issues going on in our society. The Numbers Game shows that no matter what life throws at you, you can pick yourself up and move on and encounter an amazing life for yourself. The characters were all pleasant. Nothing was unbelievable, the story dealt with everyday problems: teenage pregnancy, boring marriages and moving on from those Issues and surviving.

I used to religiously read Danielle Steel novels, but it has been many years since I picked one up. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The characters were engaging and the story was one that I am sure many could relate to.... how do you pick up the pieces after your world falls apart? My only complaint was that the ending seemed to come together too easily. i wish there had been more relationship development at the end and not just at the beginning.

I will start by saying I normally love Danielle's novels. I had no clue what I was reading here. The story just seemed like it honestly had zero plot but rather was just about a bunch of different lives. The title did not make sense with the book at all either in my opinion. Sorry Danielle this one just completely missed the mark on your normal writing.
The story is about 40 year old Eileen, who discovers her husband cheating (and ultimately becoming a father again) with a younger woman. She then sets out to try to reinvent herself by jetting off to Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. Eventually their lives all intertwine in a very odd fashion which made the book confusing at times.
