I'm preparing for a trip to France so I thought this was a perfect read to get into the mood of the city and I was totally right.
Exploring the most iconic Parisian places, our main character fall in lust... and then in love.
It was a fun book with a few serious undertones that made it very enjoyable.

The Wild One by Ruth Cardello a four-star read that will make you flourish. This is number two in the Corisi Billionaires series and it could be read as stand-alone, but honestly I would suggest reading them in order as there are one or two pieces that you may get lost in if you haven’t. This is a great read if you like instant chemistry but also a deeper story, the author does a good jo of dealing with darker subjects but not making them overly dark. The setting of Paris was so well done, you could picture yourself there with them.

Another Ruth Cardello hit with me! This book was a great read. Finished in two days and loved the new family blended with a bit of Doninic Corisi.

The only thing I didn’t like about The Wild One; was it ended! I want more. I want to know more about Dominic . I want to know more about Italy and I want more about our new love birds.

The Wild One is a delightful read that hooks you in for the night shift. Ruth Cardello is a favourite of mine due to her tendencies of keeping the chatacters intertwined and she references them back in other books. This book is no diffferent. I love the familiarity of characters that pop up and the feeling of family whilst I read.
Great read AAA rating

This book should have been called the Wild Ride...wow. First the way the main characters meet is off the charts. I loved how Mauricio and Wren both agree that this is just a Paris fling and it will not go farther then that. They both have lives to get back too but while they are in Paris they can be who they want to be and not who they need to be. Once they did return to the states I absolutely loved the dynamic Mauricio's family played in getting Wren and Mauricio back together. They knew he was hurting and they wanted to do whatever they could to ease that pain in their son/brother's heart. At one point I was laughing so hard when they were all sitting around the dining room table and his mother made it clear that not only did she know what her husband was up too with calling Wren's company but she too also had a plan and was having lunch with Wren's mother and talking on the phone with her every day. Got to love Mom's :). This book was fun and I can not wait to read the next one in the series.

Thank you to netgalley, Ruth Cardello, and Montlake for allowing me to read this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

4.4 stars

I will be the first to admit that I struggled with the first book of this series because I hadn't read this author before. So, when I read it I had no idea that there had been a lot of books that had been devoted to the character Dominic Corsi. The storyline that is introduced in this series with him in it is a background that will later tie into the characters that are introduced in this series. Once I realized that I was able to fully invest in this series considering the stories are separate.

I enjoyed the characters much more in this book as well as the fact that the Corsi backstory was only in the opening and closing of the book and not split into chapters in the middle of this love story. I think that is why I struggled so much in the first book. I fell in love with Paris all over, I didn't even know that was possible since Paris is my favorite city in the world, and loved that the author put so much love into the history of this story. Especially, as it wasn't boring or out of place.

I am very much looking forward to the rest of the story and seeing how this will eventually lead to one big happy family. The ending was abrupt, I am assuming it is because of the backstory, and hopefully, it will continue right on into the next brother's book.

Ruth Cardello’s ‘The Wild One’ is a fun, sexy romp that packs a whole lot of heart. When Mauricio meets Wren in Paris, he feels an instant attraction that he can’t quite explain. So when they mutually decide to have a hot Parisian fling (something way outside of Wren’s norm), they both discover there might be feelings beyond lust that are involved.

This is the first Cardello novel that I have read, and while it mostly works as a standalone, I feel like reading her prior related works might be helpful in understanding a couple of the chapters that feature a character named Dominic. But if you’ve read her other novels, I feel like these chapters will make sense and add interest to the overarching arc of the series. I plan to go back and do some more reading to fill in some of these gaps.

In all, I feel like Cardello is a great storyteller who doesn’t shy away from heavier topics (PTSD, depression) without going about them in a way that feels gimmicky or inauthentic. The chemistry between Wren and Mauricio is also palpable and thoroughly entertaining. If you’re already a Cardello fan, ‘The Wild One’ won’t disappoint. And if you’re new to her work, you’ll find yourself wanting to read more.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series so I had high expectations when I started this one and luckily I was not disappointed. Wren and Mauricio were complicated, but likable characters. As you get to know them you see them shed who they were expected to be back home and live in the moment while in Paris. Honestly who wouldn't want to let lose in Paris and fall in love? Even though their relationship is based on an instant attraction with the understanding it's a temporary Paris fling, it quickly develops into more when they realize they have an undeniable connection that they've never felt with anyone else.

While this book tackles difficult issues, it is not near as serious or emotional as the first book. Regardless my heart still broke for Wren as she was trying to help her Dad cope.

The author did such a great job describing the setting of Paris that I found myself itching to book a transatlantic flight to visit the Eiffel Tower. Obviously that didn't happen because I have three kids and it's not possible, but a girl can dream.

I still find the whole Judy Corsi story line confusing and book two didn't really explain that as much as I hoped it would. Hope book three cracks open the mystery.

So excited to get the continuation of this series! With the little insight we got in the last book about Mauricio, I was interested to see how he fell in love. Wren really throws him through a loop in that what starts as a fling in Paris turns into so much more. She is fiercely independent and values family while also having a quirky personality and is more of a realistic character, which adds to the storyline. I love that we get both POVs to see how Mauricio changes his thinking and views through meeting Wren, but also see how he changes Wren’s life in going after what she wants. After some confusion between the characters and some strong words, thankfully things resolve themselves and this couple not only gets their HEA, but Wren also gets to live out her professional dreams thanks to Mauricio. Something I really enjoy about this series is the dual storyline, and the anticipation of that storyline coming to fruition really intrigues me. I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Let me preface this by saying, this was my first Ruth Cardello book. I feel like I have accidentally stepped into a magical world in the middle of the story. I am absolutely ecstatic to be here, but I clearly need to start at the beginning. I don't think that an average reader will have a hard time as reading this as a stand alone. However there are obvious clues that I am missing stuff, and that never sits well with me. I need the whole story. Especially because the writing was flawless and the story intriguing.

The world building in this book was phenomenal. I fell in love with Paris seeing it through the eyes of an engineer. I also fell in love with the Ramano family. Even though there are skeletons in the closet that I haven't uncovered yet, (Again, I am totally going back to the beginning) I absolutely loved them.

The main two characters, Wren and Mauricio, were so well crafted. They are both believable, just flawed enough, but perfect for each other. This is not your typical bad boy meets good girl romance. It's so much deeper. This is exactly the kind of story I love. There are lots of moving parts, some overt, some not so much.

I absolutely will be immersing myself in Ruth's back catalog for a while. I feel as though I've found a new favorite!

The Wild One indeed! This book is aptly named because it’s waaaaay sexier than the first book in the series, and a whole lot of fun. It’s a love (or heavy lust) at first sight sort of story, where our couple falls hard and fast then builds on that connection. I’m not normally one to like an insta-love-style book, but the way this one plays out was certainly entertaining.

The story follows Mauricio, a charming guy with a wild past. He used to be a huge playboy but stepped away from that lifestyle while his family was in need. Now that things are better at home, he’s at a crossroads - does he return to his old ways, or find a different way to live? While visiting Paris, he meets Wren, a woman who has a lot of family responsibilities at home and is looking from a break from her daily burdens. Sparks fly between them instantly, and what starts as a purely sexual connection evolves into something deeper. Wren doesn’t let Mauricio get away with his smooth-talking ways, and Mauricio doesn’t let Wren get weighed down by life. They couldn’t be more different, but something about them just works. The only problem? They’re both on vacation, and will have to get back to reality at some point.

I’ll be honest and say that I don’t really love sex without feelings in my reads, so I didn’t have high hopes for this - but it exceeded my expectations. Mauricio may come off as aggressively sexual (and he is), but there’s more to him than that and feelings were involved before their clothes ever hit the floor. I loved how much time was spent on their first days together, so that the reader can really see the connection there before moving forward. That means that the end of the book felt a bit rushed, but it’s sort of worth it to see everything play out at the beginning. This book does focus a lot on the sexual relationship between them, so be prepared for a lot of laughs, one totally original meet cute, and plenty of heat. And I’ve gotta mention that prologue - if you’re new to the author’s work, the prologue will have little to no connection to this story, but will have plenty of meaning to longtime fans. Feel free to ignore it and move forward with the story. I received an ARC via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving a review of this sexy, fun romance.

Ruth always delivers a sweet, quick and great romance. I like this series a lot and this second book was just as good as the first. I felt this one was a little more predictable than the previous but still a great read.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a predictable book but there is enough there to keep you interested. It is a fun, sexy read. It is the 2nd book in a series but could be read as a stand alone. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

Wren and Mauricio meet in Paris!
Both are Americans. (This is important later.)
They meet and it’s lust at first sight. They spend an amazing week together and then she had to suddenly leave. While he’s asleep.
She leaves a note.
A one sentence note.
He thinks he meant nothing to her.
She feels too much and thinks he thinks it was just a week fling.
Little did they know the other one felt a little something more for each other.
Will they meet again???

Great story!
Dominic’s chapters make no sense in this one or the previous book. I’m guessing it will mean something in the end, but for now, it awkward.

Bravo on digging deeper into the history of Corisi and Andrade Family. series is a extension of the Legacy and Andrade series. Each could be a standalone but you definitely will want to go back and read all the previous books. Cute and sassy story.

The Wild One is Book 2 in Ruth Cardello's Corisi Billionaires series. You will need to have at least read Book 1 and hopefully some of her other books to understand the beginning and end of this story! If you've read her Legacy Collection you should be well familiar with Dominic and some of the other characters mentioned. If this is your first time picking up a book from this author you will have hard time following that part but should still enjoy the internal story featuring Mauricio and Wren.

Mauricio had always been a bit of a wild one, not settling down and living the free life. He had to step into more responsibility with the family business for awhile but now things are on track so he goes on a bit of vacation to see what he wants from life.

Wren can't help but be intrigued by Mauricio when she meets him. When her friend decides to go home to London Wren decides not to miss the once in a lifetime opportunity to explore Paris. All the better Mauricio seems set in exploring it with her and being her dream man for a week. The hard part for her is trying to remember it's not forever.

This story is filled with so much sweetness seeing all the things Mauricio does as he's realizing how he actually feels. I love how family again plays such a central role in this story. We get a bit from all sides with how dedicated Wren is to her own and get to see more of Mauricio's family and how they adapt and embrace Wren. I can't wait to see where this story goes next.

The Wild One introduces the reader to Mauricio Romano, brother of Sebastian from The Broken One. Here again we have an enjoyable Satisfying romance where Mauricio a love them and leave them....quickly type of man meets Wren who is holidaying in Paris. Insta attraction gradually becomes much more, and the fun humour, sparring and passion make for a great read.
Also interweaved within this story in the first and last chapters we re connect with Dominic Corisi from previous books. The scenes are getting set for some explosive revelations and I can’t wait for the next in this series. They can be read as a standalone ...but why would you?!
My thanks to net galley and publisher Montlake for the opportunity to review this book honestly.

I am a fan of this author and read anything she writes. This is one of my favorite stories because some of her early characters makes appearances. The main characters are likeable, with the female lead being the more relatable. While the story was predictable, it was still a fun read.
