This book was so much fun and the art was awesome. The pacing was a little too fast but it is made for a young audience so I can understand that. I had a blast while reading it and would love to check out more from the author.
Very cute and funny book for alien and pizza obsessed middle grade readers! It's short but the plot is fun and the illustrations are colorful.
I gotta say, there isn't much to say about this. The book has good messages and references but there isn't a lot of stakes or insight. A bully just happens to become friends with alien and friend? I'd expecting him to rat them out. Not to mention it was getting tiring to hear the myth of not using 100% of the brain. Some part of the books are pretty silly enough for kids. But most of the time, it's pretty uneventful. Not to mention if aliens don't have much imagination, how do they only focus on pizza?
Reasonable graphic novel for the quite young, although one where the narrator does kind of talk down to the reader, and tell us what we're seeing. If there were more economy in only telling us everything once – either in words or in image and not both – the book would be better, but to be fair it's certainly not alone in this flaw. It's actually a fairly briskly moving story, of an alien here to find out the secrets of our earthly pizza, with some decent gags too. So while I as an adult can point out how I wish it were better, I doubt the target audience could. Four stars with that borne in mind.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Alien Nate is a short graphic novel that follows an alien named Nate who comes to Earth in search of pizza. Nate gets stranded here and has to depend on the help of his new friends to get back to planet Vega.
This was just okay for me. It was cute but I'd recommend it more for 6/7 year olds. The artwork is cute and colorful. Nate was adorable.
A heartwarming story of an alien who can, and does, learn to love and enjoy life and pizza. A good book for kids.
This is a cute enough story, of Nate, the alien, who discovers pizza, because, well, it is shot into space, and he eats some, and so comes to earth to find more.

And that is the story. It is a bit of a one-trick-pony, in that the whole point of this is for Nate to integrate with school kids, and get pizza.
The pictures are bright and colorful. The bad guys, are, well, bad guys, and the kids do everything they can to help Nate in his mission.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
I liked the illustrations and positive messages through this book.
Nate was a cute character. This was an interesting idea.
