Very informative read. Thank you NetGalley for this eARC. As a woman who battles her hormones at every turn this gave me some good insight for how estrogen can affect various organs/systems in my body. I thought the chapter on the meal plan and Part 3 with pulling it all together. This is something I will 100% recommend to my friend circle with us all being menopausal.
Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC of The Good News About Estrogen.
And there is plenty of good news!
This a well researched, in depth look about that most confusing of hormones: estrogen.
What is it? What does it do? Apparently, almost everything.
What happens when you don't have enough of it? Too much?
The doctor not only discusses estrogen, but offers guidance, tips, and suggestions for women to live a healthier and productive life, not just mentally and emotionally, but sexually as well.
There were certain topics covered I was unaware of, or lacked information on, and was pleased to read more about.
As a result of reading the book, I've become interested in bioidentical hormones and will seek more research on this.
The Good News About Estrogen is an empowering, enlightening read for women of all ages and races.
Such an informative book! If you are female, young or old, this book is for you! The title is a bit misleading as it doesn't just cover estrogen. It covers progesterone along with other hormones as well. The Good News About Estrogen is comprehensive. It's educational and it's empowering. Five stars.
