Baiting Him is a strong and believable second instalment in Aurora Rose Reynolds` How to Catch an Alpha series and ticks all the boxes. A heart-warming and realistic account of the growth of a relationship and the quirks and bumps that come from navigating a genuine commitment. There’s a little “other woman” angst, but no cheating and Chrissie has to deal with some family issues along the way too. Strong secondary characters will obviously lead to more books in the series and the HEA and epilogue ensured this story ended on a high note. I look forward to what’s still to come.

Amazing story, although predictable still amazing. Loved me some Gaston. Read this on one sitting.
Thanks Netgalley and Montlake for the ARC

Aurora has done it again. Easiest five stars I think I’ve given to one of her books besides Until December. If you know me well, then you know I can never get enough of how ARR writes such easy romance. I love that there is hardly any angst. LOVE IT!

Chrissie and Gaston falling in love was so simple and flowed so well. It was easy and had so many moments that made me smile and swoon. For me, it doesn’t really any get better than that. Throw in a dog named LeFou and I’m obsessed.

ARR writes amazing alpha males. While Gaston is a bit tame compared to the Masons, I still adored him. I will always love a man who knows what he wants, doesn’t play games, and is absolutely dreamy.

Like I keep saying, this was such an easy romance to read. If you like alpha males, low to no angst, and super sweet stories then I think you would like this one.

All in all, I am still loving this series and can’t wait for the next book Hooking Him later next year. Hopefully, it’s about a certain redhead that works at the bakery!

From the first line to the last line, I was hooked. Gaston was so sly in his Alpha-ness. He was able to get Chrissie to do what was best for her with no problem. I love that there was no major conflict. I am totally ok with a love story with no breakup, semi breakup, or danger to either party. Gonna need to takes some notes so I can catch my own Alpha.

I recieved a digital copy free through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and voluntarily shared.

I really enjoyed this one and binged it in one sitting 😊

This was an obvious plot but it worked really well, I enjoyed the chase although it could have been a bit longer but never mind. I really loved watching Gus and Chrissie getting to know each other and I was anticipating the twist all the way through, however it wasn't what I was expecting so that was refreshing.

I loved all the family dynamics betwne the friends and the families themselves.

I think the ending could have been longer as it seemed a little rushed

Baiting Him is a quick easy romantic story, no great angst and almost insta love between Gaston and Chrissie but that in no way distracted from this being an entertaining read. There is humour, family strife and a host of well rounded characters and enough depth to the story to keep me turning those pages to a very satisfying ending.
My thanks to net galley and publisher for the opportunity to review this book honestly

I love a good alpha male story and this one did not disappoint!
These two meet at a club when Chrissie uses the men’s restroom. List at first sight for sure!
Then he peruses her.
She finally agrees to go out on a date with him (even though she believes he is out of her league).
He cooks her dinner. *swoon*
It’s yummy.
They kiss.
It’s hot!
And then they begin a relationship and it’s too sweet.

Great story!

This is a solid read, though a little boring. Let me explain. The H and h are genuinely nice people. He’s a bar own (3 times over) who’s eye candy. She beautiful, and over men. Their meet-cute happens during her friend’s bachelorette party. I wouldn’t say he was expressing interest, and she wasn’t given him the time of day so a kinda blah introduction. His interest is peaked and it turns out they are both very decent humans. Honestly, they’re almost too perfect. There is one vengeful actor in the cast, but even that was meh. I do not like conflict for the sake of conflict. Thankfully, that poor writing maneuver is completely absent here. However, at the end I was just like, okay. It’s a perfectly fine story, just less interesting than I generally prefer.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

There have been very few things ARR has written that I didn't like. And, although her books can be a tad predictable at times, they each feel very genuine and always leave me with a mad swoon hangover. I loved Gaston and Chrissie together and especially loved how organic their relationship felt.

With all the swoon but a little less of the alpha, Baiting Him was a delightful read. I'm looking forward to the series continuing.

Overall a nice, sweet book with little to no angst. I didn't care for the h, as she seemed a little to meek and insecure, but it didn't take away from the story. I preferred the first book in this series, but I would recommend this book to others.

This is a Netgalley ARC review. All opinions are solely mine.

Aurora Rose Reynolds writes a hot and sweet, laugh out loud romance that takes on several pieces of Beauty and the Beast. Chrissie and Gaston are amazing from the start. The entire book made me think of the happiness that comes from a bakery.

I'm still not sure how the title tied into the actual book. But, honestly. I didn't care. The book works in it's entirety.

This is book two of the How to Catch an Alpha series. I can't wait to read more!!

Baiting Him had me laughing right away. I slowly fell in love with Gaston as Chrissie did. I love how these two started and watching their relationship develop into love. I enjoyed their dynamic. Chrissie is a sweet, funny, cookie baking lady. Gaston is a sweet, alpha male, who loves her for all the cuteness that is her. This was a sweet, funny, and heartfelt story that will stick with me for a while. Miss Aurora Rose Reynolds has written another good one. This is my new favorite.

This is the second book in this series and I think this is the end. We met Chrissie in the first book since she was Leahs friend. During Leah's bachelor party we meet Gaston who is the owner of the bar that the ladies are partying in and was instantly taken with Chrissie. I liked her better in the first book, not that I hated her but that whole woe is me, bugs the hell out of me. Since Chrissie seems to have picked duds before she doesn't even want to give Gaston a chance, he was just to hot for her, or noticing her in her mind. Gaston decides to pursue Chrissie since there is just something about her, what I didn't understand.. They or her gives Gaston a chance even though she is reluctant now this reasoning I had got, she was wary since her parents divorced after a lot of years since her father betrayed not only her mom but her and her brother..All in all I still read and kind of enjoyed I loved her brother and Sam. I liked Gastons friend and mom and was happy to read about Leah and Tyler..

Baiting Him by Aurora Rose Reynolds a five-star read that will catch your heart. This is number two in the How to Catch an Alpha series and they are sublime, they could easily be read as stand-alone, as each focus on a different couple. Oh, Gaston and LeFou you both won a place in my heart. This story is filled with fun and laughter as well as romance and passion, this has it all steam, but a story to captivate and compel you. Chrissy is a character that will give you more that a sweet tooth, and not just at The Sweet Spot she will warm your heart and give you something to get behind. Who will be the next character to Catch an Alpha?

I thought that this was a really good romantic story.

It was fast moving and really well developed. The author had excellent attention to detail and the plot was really strong. I thought that the characters were great and they all worked really well together, this was a book I could just sit back and read and enjoy.

It was a really good read - and it is 5 stars from me, very highly recommended!

I've read the majority of this author's other books and I've loved them all, so I always look forward to a new release from her! I've also absolutely loved the first book in this series, so I was really excited for this book to release! I then saw it on Netgalley and was able to read it without requesting it, so I started reading it as soon as I could! After reading, I can say that I loved it just as much as the first book! The plot had me intrigued and wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen next! I loved the pact it developed at and it only took me a few sittings to read! There was also plenty of romance in the plot, and I loved the way the romance developed and it allowed for a few seriously hot scenes! There was a little bit of suspense in the plot as well, which did add something to it, but I do think that could have been expanded more and it would have made me enjoy the plot even more! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Chrissie was the main female character, and in this book she worked hard and she had achieved a lot! Chrissie worked a lot though, which meant that she didn't have a lot of free time and time to do what she wanted to do! Her love interest made Chrissie think a lot about her future and about how she had to stop running herself into the ground! Chrissie also went through a lot of realisation and went through quite a few changes in this book! Gaston 'Gus' was the main male character and love interest of Chrissie! I loved Gus a lot in this book! He was seriously hot and such an alpha male, so he was exactly the type of guy I love reading! Gus also had a good job and he had businesses that were successful! I also loved the way Gus was with Chrissie! He didn't rush her and he helped and supported her when she needed it! It was also easy to see how he felt about her and he was very protective of her too! He treated Chrissie like she was everything to him as well! I loved that this book was written from both Chrissie and Gus's point of views! I was expecting it to be because the first book was written from dual point of view! The synopsis also gives the impression that it's going to be written from both characters point of views! I loved that ti was because it helped me connect and understand Chrissie and Gus more and it allowed for a lot more things to happen in the plot, which helped as they did do things on their own and were dealing with their own situations! The ending of this book was left at the perfect place and summed up the characters story beautifully! I'm not sure if there's going to be more books in this series because I can't find any information on Goodreads and there wasn't anything at the end of this book to suggest another book! I really hope there are more books because I'm really enjoying this series and I would love to read more! I can't wait to see what this author is going to release next as well! I also love the cover for this book a lot and it's perfect for the book! I love how well it matches the cover for the first book as well and the cover image/models are the perfect Chrissie and Gus!

After discovering Aurora Rose Reynolds earlier this year, I have instantly fallen in love with the stories she creates and ‘Baiting Him’ is no exception. Sweet and swoon worthy with a couple who has insta chemistry, I was fanning myself on the airplane cause the steam scenes are so damn steamy! I loved how easy it was to get wrapped up in this couple. This whole series is fantastic and mixes a whole lotta love with a little drama to give it the perfect touch.

Also major point awards for naming the male love interest Gaston and giving him a dog sidekick, LeFou = adorable.

Thank you NetGalley, the publisher and Aurora Rose Reynolds for gifting me with this ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The best thing about a good book is when you get lost in it. While reading it, you are so immersed in it, time ceases to have all meaning, and you have a happy smile on your face the whole time. Then, all of sudden it is done, and you feel like you just finished hanging out with your best friends. Chrissie and Gaston were this for me. So sexy, sweet, funny, a little bit of trouble, a little bit of problems, but just a wonderful story of a boy meeting a girl, in the men’s washroom, and them falling in love. The journey to their happily ever forever gave all the good feelings, and the epilogue left me with the biggest smile. Loved it!

“I received a free, advance copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review”

‘Baiting him’ is the second book in the ‘How to catch an alpha’ series. After reading and loving the first story ‘Catching him’, I was really looking to this second book. And I’m very happy to say that I enjoyed this story just as much as the first one. (For the readers new to this series, you don’t have to read the first book to read this one. It can be read as a standalone.)

This story is about Chrissie, Leah’s friend and it’s during Leah’s bachelorette party that Chrissie meets Gaston, the owner of the club where the girls are celebrating. From the first look they share, you can feel that there is something special between them. But even with the sizzling chemistry between them, Chrissie makes Gaston work for it. But once that they start dating, everything is going fast. And I loved every minute of it.

‘Baiting him’ is perfect if you’re looking for an easy to read romance story to relax with. It’s drama free but filled with a lot of funny, sexy times between a hot handsome man and a kind-hearted woman (who bakes sweet for a living). And Gaston may be very handsome but he doesn’t act like it. He isn’t arrogant about it. He’s just a guy looking for love and a loving relationship. Chrissie may have lost her faith in men a little bit but she isn’t bitter about it. I like both characters very much. They are both strong in their own way but together they balance each other perfectly. I love the interaction between them and the secondary characters, that consist of family and friends, give the story that little extra.

The story is told mostly from Chrissie’s POV but we also get a few POV’s from Gaston. I’m already looking forward to the next book in this series.
