Am interesting idea that was not well done. It was a book that couldn't quite figure out what it was. Part biography and part history book, it was disconnected between the two leaving the reader confused and adrift in the narrative.

Forgotten trailblazers in history often have amazing stories. And Rose Weislander, an Orthodox Jew, did have a Cinderella life, if Cinderella was a socialist. I am still amazed that this poor cigar factory worker attracted such a wealthy husband and that both of them espoused socialism. It's definitely worth reading about.
