i really enjoyed reading this book, the characters were great and I really enjoyed the time period. I really enjoyed the way the author was able to create realistic characters and keep the reader interested,
Lydia starts having disturbing dreams about women and a time past after her father dies. The dreams become distressing and start causing issues in her relationship with her boyfriend, Dan, who just wants them to stop.
This book is told in past and present tense and you get drawn in deeper and deeper with every page. From present day to the days of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn you will find yourself wanting more and more.
Thank you NetGalley and Michele F. Kallio for this edition and hearing my honest review. Looking forward to reading more with you

Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion.
I enjoyed this book. This book was dual timeline book, in the present, we have Lydia who is having nightmares that seem so real and confusing all at the same time; and the past is the story of Elisabeth, one of Anne Boleyn’s ladies. I will say that I enjoyed the historical part of the story way more than the present, I found some parts of the book seemed disjointed and awkward. All in all, the storyline was good and it was an enjoyable read.
Born in Devon, England Lydia Hamilton has lived her whole life in Canada.
Combines two stories, modern day Canada, and Tudor England.
Modern day Lydia is haunted by recurring nightmares by a girl Elizabeth Beeton, who was Anne Boleyn's maid and who wants her name cleared.
This is a story of heartbreak each suffered by the ones they loved.
The author did a great job with this novel. I had to read to the very end. I will continue to read books from this great author.
Thank you publisher and NetGalley for the eARC
