Beautifully written essays about chronic pain, illness, women's bodies, motherhood, and more. The essay on how she met her husband was quietly devastating, but my favorite was her essay on 3 women artists - including Frida Kahlo - who grappled with pain and illness in their work.

Since it was a small voice reading, all I got from it is that there is a girl struggling with who she is.
She looks to books and family for comfort.
She seems to not have anyone to talk to about her thoughts.

A beautiful, nuanced, and wandering exploration of the self and the body, and the bounded limitations of female corporeality (corpor/reality?). The prose is lyric.
