It's always a pleasure to return to Alpine and spend time with Emma Lord, her husband the Sheriff Milo and the rest of the quirky characters in town. The author keeps a lot of spinning balls in the air but, in the end, she is able to connect them into a satisfying story. It's also been fun to see the growth in the relationship between Emma and Milo as well as the other characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't wait to see what happens next.
