I was so excited to receive an advance copy of this book and I can not say thank you enough times! You are not alone is a psychological thriller that was taken to the next level. I feel like the best thriller is one where I never saw the twists coming. This was most definitely the case with You are Not Alone. What started with a lonely girl who needed to grab life by the horn turned into something I never saw coming.

After observing a stranger in a polka dotted dress leap to her death in front of a subway train, Shay's mediocre life seems to be spiraling to rock bottom.

Feeling an unnecessary sense of guilt for not being able to save Amanda, Shay finds herself curious to know more about Amanda. Unbeknownst to her, Shay finds herself brought into the fold of Amanda's friends...new friends, new apartment, new makeover, new job...it all seems too good to be true.

And it is.

Lots of twists, turns, and suspense. Hendricks and Pekkanen's Your Not Alone is one that demands your attention, even after you turn the last page.

I really enjoyed Hendricks previous book, so was thrilled when I was given the chance to read and review her new one, and it did not disappoint. It was compelling, twisty and kept me interested until the end.

Shay has a blah life. She is secretly in love with her male roommate, who has a girlfriend. She has a dead end job and no friends. Her life is boring and sad - until one day she witnesses a woman commit suicide by jumping in front of a subway train. Thereafter, her life would never be the same.

After the suicide, Shay can't get it out of her head. She can't imagine why a woman who she secretly thought looked like she could be friends with, had such a vacant look in her eyes and jumped. She has to know more about this woman. This curiosity leads her to the dead woman's friends.

Enter the Moore sisters. Gorgeous. Elegant. Worldly. They seem to have it all. Shay thought they would never want anything to do with her, but much to her dismay, they embrace Shay. Slowly, Shay's world begins to expand. Her luck turns and things start to happen for her. But is it all real, or an illusion. And are the Moore sisters sincere- or is something else going on?

I really enjoyed this book. It's told in short chapters and the story flows smoothly and quickly. It all seems too good to be true, but is it? Can good things finally happen to the downtrodden? Is the cynicism warranted or not? The readers grapples with that quandary throughout the book. The pace did slow down a bit in the last three fourths of the book, but that's a small criticism all things considered. Overall, I enjoyed this quick read and recommend you read it.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Shay is a lot like me. She blends in, keeps her head down, doesn’t really have friends. When she witnesses a tragedy, everything starts to change. She takes an interest in the victim’s life and it takes an interest back. But everything is not as it seems and Shay ignores the warning signs. I wanted to yell at her at times, but I loved this book. Thank you Netgalley for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book was good! Not as good as the other two books that I have read by the two authours. I predicted the ending and was only a little surprised by some of the characters.

I did enjoy the book, it is well written, just not as exciting as I would hope for like the other books.

I absolutely love books written by this duo and was excited to snag a copy! Every books written by them is an absolute thrill ride! This book takes you on a ride with thrilling clues that have you believing that you know what's happening, but you don't. I enjoyed the characters and this story had me turning pages quickly.

I can't say much without giving away details, but I can say that you should read this book. It's so, so good. You should also pick up the other books by these two, they are just as thrilling and enthralling.

Thanks to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was one of the most surprising thrillers I've read - I did not expect the twist at all. Gave it 4 stars on Goodreads!

This was a pretty good book. Had me hooked from the first page. Shay was a great character that lead to tons of twists. Definitely a different take on a thriller but its definitely enjoyable.

Thank you Netgalley, the author and publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishing house and the authors for the opportunity to read a complimentary copy of this book in return for a review based upon my honest opinion.

Shay Miller is running late for her train, she misses it by 22 seconds, that 22 seconds changes her life in way she cannot even imagine. She witnesses a woman commit suicide by jumping in front of the next train. Try as she might, Shay cannot shake the unease she feels but cannot figure out why this is affecting her so much. Next thing she knows she finds herself at the memorial service for Amanda, the dead woman. There she meets friends of Amanda's, Cassandra and Jane. Cassandra and Jane are everything Shay wishes she was and she finds herself drawn to them and they appear to welcome her with open arms, but things are not always as they appear. Shay feels herself slipping into a new life, a better life, but is it more than meets the eye? Beware of things that look too good to be true.

I was on the edge of my seat as I read this book. Great pandemic reading, lots of suspicions and doubts. Who doesn't like a good thriller.

If there is one thing that Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen do well, it is a psychological thriller. The Wife Between Us was one of my favorite reads from 2018. An Anonymous Girl kicked off my 2019 reads and was just as good. So needless to say I was thrilled when I received this ARC copy of You Are Not Alone from St Martins Press.

Shay Miller feels isolated and alone. All she has ever wanted was to belong either in a relationship or a group of friends. One unfortunate circumstance leads her to the Moore sisters, Cassandra & Jane. They come into Shays’ life at just the right time bringing along their unbreakable circle of friends. Shay for the first time as found her people ... or so she thinks.

I don’t want to give too much away, but this book was great. I was sucked right in from the beginning. From the short chapters, that led me to say ‘just one more’ too many times. To the varying in point of view from chapter to chapter. Once I started You Are Not Alone, it was hard to put down until the very end.

This duo has become an auto buy for me. Whatever they write (esp together) I will read it!

Enjoyed this one! Lots of suspense- you cannot trust anything anyone says so trying to unravel the mystery of a death that occurs in the beginning of the book is tricky. As the story progresses and you learn more and more about the characters, you realize that not everything is as it seems. This one kept me guessing a lot and was a PERFECT quarantine read!

Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen write thrillers that never disappoint. These two write manipulative characters like no other. Their books just always make me feel a certain way. Maybe like I’m a little off kilter too?

For Greer and Sarah’s most recent book, we have Shay Miller. Her life leaves much to be desired. Her living situation, her job, her love life. It all needs a little work. On the other side of the spectrum, the Moore sisters are the most glamorous girls you could can find and they are surrounded with love and luck. I know I haven’t told you much but these books really are best when you going in knowing as little as possible.

Some parts of this book, as with a lot of thrillers, were a little unbelievable. However, no matter how crazy it got, I still feel like everything weaves together perfectly. I really hate when thrillers throw twists at you just for shock factor. That’s not the case here. I almost want to reread and spot all the clues along the way because I know they’re all there! I did spot some of the twists ahead of time but definitely not all of it.

My biggest complaint is that there were just too many characters with too many details. I found myself often confusing them. Aside from that, this was book was fun and twisty and manipulative and I loved it. If you’ve been a fan of Greer and Sarah in the past, don’t miss their newest!

I loved the other books by these authors, but found this one much harder to get into. The beginning was very slow, with not enough hints of whats to come to keep me engaged. I pressed on because the other books were so amazing and it did get a little better towards the end, but it still didn't have the same wow factor as the other two. I love these authors and I'll definitely read whatever comes next.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen is the third book I have read by these authors. The storytelling is similar to THE WIFE BETWEEN US and AN ANONYMOUS GIRL by the same authors. Though I enjoyed this book it lacked some of the edge of the seat aspects as the other two books.

It is a complex and entertaining read; following the twists and turns of a lonely confused young woman, Shay. Shay gets caught up in the glamorous lives of Cassandra and Jane Moore. It is an intriguing story and there are enough twists to make it compelling reading.

I was really looking forward to this book. I loved The Wife Between Us and An Anonymous Girl, so I was all set to be wowed again. Unfortunately, this one fell completely flat for me. With the exception of Shay, most of the characters lack development, and the progression of the story relies on coincidence way too much. That aside, the thing that most surprised me was that I was bored, and I didn't expect that with these authors. It started off okay, and the subway scene certainly got my attention, but the rest of it just didn't hold my attention. I realize that I'm in the minority here, but it is what it is. As I mentioned, I did enjoy previous books by these authors, and even though this one wasn't for me, I look forward to whatever they do next.

Shay Miller has lost her job, and is living with her friend and love interest who also has a girlfriend that is over all of the time. When she witnesses a suicide on the subway, her life changes. She decides to attend the funeral for the girl, and meets the girl’s close friends, the Moore sisters. Shay begins seeing the sisters and hanging out with them more and more.

Eventually, things start to get weird, and some of the events that are happening, don’t add up for Shay, and she realizes her life may be in danger…

YOU ARE NOT ALONE alternates among multiple different characters. We find out more about the Moore sister’s childhood, and the rest of the girls in the group of friends. The chapters are also short, which always makes for a fun, popcorn read when combined with alternating viewpoints and timelines.

Overall, I would give this one ⅘ stars! Highly recommend this one if you are a fan of this author duo! I also think this would be a good read if you are a fan of books like Good Girls Lie or any other friendship thriller rather than domestic thriller.

This was the third book written by duo Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen! I read both THE WIFE BETWEEN US and THE ANONYMOUS GIRL and enjoyed them both! I think I enjoyed this one more than THE ANONYMOUS GIRL, but THE WIFE BETWEEN US is still my favorite!

This book was also the second one I read by these authors, having previously read The Wife Between Us, as well. So, when I realized they had a new book out, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to read it. Plus, I happen to love suspense novels, because no matter what you are usually led to believe there is always way more to the story than meets the eye. And that is most definitely true with the story of how Shay Miller wants nothing more than to try to forget the awful incident she witnessed at the NYC Subway. But she also believes that the Moore sisters are her friends and want to help her heal. Boy, she couldn’t be more wrong and as we read we find out just how wrong she is.

This was a very well written book. I loved both other books by this author. This was different than those, but still a good story. I guessed the ending about 3/4 of the way through, but I read A LOT of this type of book.
