These authors just never seem to disappoint. Excellent thriller with lots of twists and turns. It kept my attention from the first chapter and didn’t let go until the last! The book is fast paced which makes for a quick and easy read! If you enjoy thrillers like me I can't recommend this enough - i don't think i liked this one as much as the previous 2 books by this duo but it was certainly an enjoyable read.

Not my favorite book by these two. The premise felt forced and zero parts of this were believable.
Thanks to Netgalley for the free copy in exchange for an honest review.

This book kept me guessing until the very end. And even then, I was still left surprised. I’m so glad the authors wrapped this book up with a nice conclusion so I was left feeling a sense of finality. What a crazy ride You Are Not Alone was!!! I really enjoy the intricate, tangled webs that this authors are known for! Great read! 4 stars.

What a ride! YOU ARE NOT ALONE is a well-written thriller by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen. Full of twists and turns, this novel kept me on my toes as I raced through the pages.
Shay Miller’s life isn’t quite what she wants, but she isn’t sure how to change it. When she witnesses a tragedy, it’s lasting effects bring her into the orbit of the Moore sisters, two women who are everything that she wants to be and is excited when they take her under their wing. That’s when things get interesting.
Hendricks and Pekkanen work together to create a story that is wonderfully complex and alternates between Shay and the perspectives of other characters that provide essential information. This story will definitely make you wonder about making new friends.
This was a fun and complex story that is a perfect escape. This is my second read by the duo, and I can’t wait to see where their imaginations take them and their readers next!
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for my advanced review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own.

"...numbers affect the way people see you."
Shay Miller, 31-years-old, single, recently downsized, lives with roommates Sean (who she secretly loves) and his girlfriend, Jody. Nothing is going so well in her life and her apartment is no longer the happy haven it used to be so one Sunday she decides to head out and find a nice place to work on her resume. She grabs a latte and heads for the subway when the event that changes her life takes place right in front of her on the platform: a young woman jumps in front of the train. Shay can't get over the shock and finds herself a bit obsessed finding out about the woman and the circumstances. That's when she meets Cassandra and Jane Moore -- friends of Amanda Evinger, an emergency room nurse who committed suicide by train. Soon things are looking up for Shay and it's all because the sisters have taken her under their wing. But they have a reason for this and Shay has no idea what they have planned for her. NO SPOILERS.
Told in the alternating points of view of Shay and the sisters, the reader gets a slow revelation of everything that has happened in the past as well as the current situation between them. At the beginning of every chapter narrated by Shay, there is a paragraph of a relevant statistic as Shay is very much a person who sees the world in terms of stats and data. Since she's a data analyst, she compulsively keeps data books "the way other kids kept diaries." Slowly the pieces start to fall into place and the reason for instant friendship between Shay and the sisters becomes clear. I enjoyed the story and it had a good amount of suspense but somehow, being a bit perverse, I wanted a different ending. Oh well, it was entertaining and it's a quick read. This is the third psychological thriller I've read by this duo and their collaboration and imagination keep me coming back for more. I definitely enjoyed all the data!

REVIEW
YOU ARE NOT ALONE is a female-centered thriller featuring a lonely, and unemployed data researcher, and her glamorous and very generous new friends. Who wouldn’t friends that give you a beauty makeover, a new luxurious sea-blue leather purse and more? But why?
Shay’s character was relatable, sensitive and smart. Her use of a “data-book” for her collection of statistics and factoids the way some girls keep a diary was charming. Did you know that the average person will walk past sixteen killers in their lifetime. I loved the use of statistics from her data book at the beginning of each of Shay’s chapter’s. It might just give us a little hint of things to come.
While I liked the story very much and found it intriguing, the cast of characters became a little complicated and the motive a little slow to reveal. I loved the New York setting and the use of both data and technology to propel the story.
Authors Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen also wrote the bestselling thrillers The Wife Between Us and An Anonymous Girl. Both books have already been optioned for television or movies, and I’ll bet this one might not be far behind. Numbers don’t lie. Read it and decide for yourself.

I was eagerly awaiting the third move by this duo. They write such complex characters and allow women to be multifaceted and fit all sorts of molds. It’s refreshing and exciting. This story is about Shay, a young woman who lost her job and now works for a temp agency, lives with her friend Sean whom she hoped would develop feelings for her but ended up dating someone else, and overall Shay is feeling lost and lonely. And then one fateful day she witnesses the FSU I use of a young woman and everything in her life changes.
I think the multiple perspectives prevented this book from being as surprising and as intense as it could be. Some perspectives allowed us to have important insight that didn’t give away too much, while others gave away entirely too much and made it pretty obvious where the book was headed. About 50% though, I knew what the entire premise of the story was and the one twist I didn’t see, didn’t matter. It didn’t change the overall plot twist that had already occurred so it being there was just another thing to do.
I also found Shay to be both incredibly gullible and naive for someone her age. She made infuriatingly stupid and reckless decisions that just do not match up with someone who thinks so practically or uses data to supplement her beliefs. I didn’t feel bad for her when it got too deep because I felt like she deserved it for being so dumb.
Side characters I have thoughts on one being Detective Williams, I loved her and her engagement with Shay, wish I had more of her. Susan, the first therapist prescribed self harm as a way to battle panic attacks, not the biggest fan of that move at all.
Overall, I feel disappointed by this book. I’m still excited to see what these ladies come up with next though.

Shay is down on her luck. She is floating from temp job to temp job while looking for work as a marketing researcher. Her roommate who is also one of her best friends, invites his girlfriend to move in and now she feels like a third wheel and needs to move. And most shocking of all she witnessed a suicide while walking to catch a train. It's disturbing and unsettling. How much can one person take when out of nowhere she meets two sisters, Cassandra and Jane. It's almost too good to be true. They offer her friendship, personal styling advice, a place to live, and a job. Cassandra and Jane have it all and Shay feels like she just hit the jackpot with friends like these.
Cassandra and Jane have a different side to their personality and a sinister motivation to befriend Shay. It seems like a series of coincidences that the sisters appear in Shay's life at just the right time. The slow revealing of the sister's past and current desire to serve justice to those who have hurt others is suspenseful. They have recruited a group of women to help carry out their vigilantism and they work together as each one has a different talent. There's something satisfying about people taking the law into their own hands and clenching your teeth to see if they get away with it.
I liked Shay's character and each chapter that is titled Shay is accompanied by a statistic which is fitting for someone who carries around a data book for personal entries. Hendricks and Pekkanen have co-authored another mind boggling domestic thriller. I'm looking forward to the next book these creative women come up with.

Holy Cow! I wasn't expecting this in the mail AT ALL! I know most of you have already read or got this baby through your #BOTM. This present came with a gorgeous necklace and a wonderful cozy scarf! 🥰😍 Thank you @stmartinspress.
👏
I have read this one and must say that I just love these two writing. I first fell in love with this pair with The Wife Between Us and immediately read An Anonymous girl. 👏
This one is very similar to their other two books in that it's just fill of intrigue and plot twists. For some the plot twists might be too much because it can be too coincidental but it works for me. I love how you don't know much about the plot and it keeps you guessing page after page.
👏
Statistics are my Jane and this book is JAM PACKED WITH THEM. That alone has me sold from page one. What more do you want? It's a thriller and you get to know fun facts along the way.
I have complained about lately how so many authors decide to throw in too many characters often confusing the reader or taking away from connecting with the characters, this had a dash of that. It was a little confusing at first but it wasn't as bad as others.
👏
I highly recommend this one if you are a fan of really intriguing fast pace thrillers that keep you guessing page after page. These two do not disappoint! 👏
This book was provided to me by St.Martins Press in exchange for an honest review.

3.5⭐ This was a light/quick/fun read, but I definitely felt like I had to suspend reality to believe a lot of what was going on. I also liked that we got multiple timelines and characters' POVs, but sometimes the characters blended together a bit.
I loved the data analytics that Shay was recording. That was definitely my favorite aspect of the book.

Publisher's description: Shay Miller wants to find love, but it eludes her. She wants to be fulfilled, but her job is a dead end. She wants to belong, but her life is increasingly lonely.
Until Shay meets the Moore sisters. Cassandra and Jane live a life of glamorous perfection, and always get what they desire. When they invite Shay into their circle, everything seems to get better.
Shay would die for them to like her.
She may have to.
************
Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen are a literary power couple!
In their newest book "You Are Not Alone," Shay Miller is a data analyst in New York who is finding herself increasingly more isolated as things in her life, one by one, seem to fall apart. She shares an apartment with her friend Sean (who she wishes was more than a friend), but he's planning to move in his girlfriend. She lost her job, and she's temping but struggling to find a permanent job. Then one Sunday morning as she waits for the subway, she sees a woman commit suicide by throwing herself in front of a train. Shay, who analyzes everything and keeps random statistics and notes in a "data book," finds herself deeply impacted by the woman's suicide. She relates to what she can only believe is this woman's feeling of loneliness and despair. This sends her into a tailspin, and she needs to know more about the stranger and what drove her to kill herself.
I don't want to give a lot away here. Part of the appeal of this book is the way the story builds with Shay seeking information about the woman who committed suicide and how she gets embroiled with the Moore sisters. The chapters alternate between Shay, Cassandra & Jane, and a variety of other characters. Shay's chapters are in the first person and are very structured and analytical, like her. The rest of the chapters are in the third person, in the present day and in flashbacks, and give us insight into the other characters in the story.
True to their other books, Hendricks and Pekkanen know how to build a story and keep their audience reading. And I did not see the reveal in Part Three coming. That's all I'll say about that. You'll just have to get there on your own.
The reason I knocked this down to four stars is that there were so many characters in Cassandra & Jane's circle that I started to get confused, and three of them seemed kind of irrelevant. I know they build up some of the back story, but I found myself flipping back and forth to refresh my memory on who was whom. I also thought the varying timelines on the flashbacks added to the confusion, and Shay seems really naive and gullible for someone who has lived and worked in New York for a while. I found that a little hard to believe.
Overall, though, this is a great read that I'll be recommending to all my reader friends.

Phew...that one tired me out. There's a lot going on here. It's very psychological heavy, rather than action heavy. More twists and turns than a Dairy Queen ice cream cone though! I was immediately invested in this one from Chapter 1 and it took me forever to finally get a grasp on what was going on. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am finding that I absolutely love books from the minds of this writing pair, but I have not been blown away by the endings of any of them. Maybe it's because I seem to race through the book like I'm being chased up the basement stairs by an evil monster, and it just sort of ends without the monster catching me and my adrenaline has nowhere to go.

4 stars.🌟🌟🌟🌟
My first read by this duo of writers (Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen ) and they certainly have a good sense of how to present a psychological thriller in a way that totally draws you in.... with many surprising twists and turns along the way - the sort that keep you contantly guessing as to "What is really going on here???".
The premise of this story was really good and the authors also executed it flawlessly IMO.
A "rapid" page-turner for sure!!!
After Shay Miller witnesses an appparent suicide in New York and finds herself intrigued and haunted by this young woman's death she ends up being befriended by the dead woman's friends- the ever so stylish sisters: Cassandra and Jane and their tight knit group of friends.....what follows next is a series of many life-changing events for Shay.... that all seem innocent enough at the time.... but from a reader's POV start to arouse suspicion fairly early as we are also treated to more than Shay's POV here.....and it soon becomes evident that she maybe being set up to take the fall for something much bigger!!!!!
I really enjoyed this psychological/thriller/mystery quite a lot!!!!
The writing and narrative was excellent!!!
The only thing that I would personally have liked to seen included or more of.... was the police procedural or detective angle to this story and also the detective's POV.
I wouldn't say it's absence detracted from the story at all but it definitely could have addded more IMO- especially when this "wicked" drama reached it's final conclusion.
ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Lots of twists and turns in this thriller. Kept my interest. I don't want to give anything away other than the story starts with the main character witnessing a suicide, and from there.....!

There is just something about Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen books that resinate with me. You Are Not Alone is just as enjoyable as their first two books and once again is different than the other two. I feel like this book was a little more action driven and fast paced which was a fun change and their were interesting twists throughout the book. I think this writing duo does a fantastic job of creating characters; the protagonists are flawed but generally likable but what I really appreciate is how they develop their villains, they are complex and often verge on being sympathetic. In this book those elements of character development really make this a truly solid thriller. Can't wait for their next book!

Shay is somewhat of a loner and somewhat lost. She was recently laid off from her job. Her roommate, who she’s in love with, is moving in with his girlfriend forcing her to move out of their apartment. She just feels so alone. When Shay witnesses something on the subway and subsequently meets the Moore sisters, Cassandra and Jane, her life seems to take a turn. They are both so glamorous and live the life that Shay dreams of. They have a great group of friends and Shay just wants to be a part of their circle. She’s excited when they befriend her, but what exactly do the Moore sisters want from her?
I’m a big fan of this Greer Hendrick’s and Sarah Pekkanen’s books. An Anonymous Girl was one of my favorite books of 2019, and this one did not disappoint. It’s told from multiple points of view which may be confusing for some readers, but it did not confuse me. I was able to keep up with the timeline and whose story we were reading. I loved that the book had short chapters and moved at such a quick pace. I honestly didn’t want to put it down. This duo is known for their twists, and I honestly did not see the twists coming which makes for a great thriller. The ending moved at such a quick pace, but it was filled with surprises that made it a very exciting read. I highly recommend this book to fans of the mystery genre, and if you haven’t read their other books you should read them as well.

Loved this one! Had me guessing from the beginning. I really enjoyed the other books by these authors as well. Shay is the primary narrator, but it is told in 3 parts. I kept wanting to yell at Shay to get a clue, but you couldn't help but feel bad for her at some points. If you like to keep on guessing through a story, this one is for you!

Thank you Netgalley for the early copy of this book.
I had really hard time getting into this book. I took me about 55% to really start enjoying it. I wasn’t a fan of the 3rd person writing style. I think having so many female characters got confusing. The ending was decent.
I just didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as An Anonymous Girl.

I think I feel into the hype of this one. It was okay. It was interesting enough that I wanted to finish, but parts of it felt dragged on and predictable. “The Husband Between Us” is still my favorite novel by this duo.

Review of You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen:
⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
.
Shay has a dead end job, no girlfriends, and zero love life. She is isolated and unhappy. One day she witnesses a woman complete suicide on the subway train tracks. After this traumatic incident follows a sudden friendship with the Moore sisters who just so happened to have been friends with Amanda, the woman who died. Shay suddenly finds herself with a job, friends, an apartment, and a love interest. Everything in her life seems to be going on track but at what cost? Who are these Moore sisters and why do they immerse themselves in Shay’s life and conveniently seem to know everything about her?
.
Wow. Jump aboard the Crazy Train because this book is literally about some batshit crazy women! Master manipulators who seem to have no remorse and exhibit sociopathic tendencies. 🤯 This author duo has weaved a story line that is masterful and full of suspense. It could also be used as an instruction manual for how to frame someone for murder. 🤷🏽♀️ The mind games these women played and how deceitful they were is simply jaw dropping. I do wish there were more chapters on the perspectives of the other women involved as the book fell flat in that area. The character development was also lacking. But reading how Shay investigated things herself and how the group of women set things up was the best part of the whole story; and the ending where everything was tied up in a neat little bow! For a psychological thriller that will have you turning the pages, read this! This book was released this past Tuesday, 03/03/3020, so be sure to go out and grab yourself a copy today!
