I really enjoy the way that Emily writes and this novel does not disapoint. She has a way of drawing you in to the story and becoming attached to our characters and their story.
In this novel, Tucker’s days of service are over and he is struggling on how to put his expertise to good use. He sets up in Redemption and begins to build a new life for himself. He is the type of person that you can’t help but love – he is patient, kind, thoughtful and knows what he wants but does not hurt others to get his way. He falls for Gillian the minute he meets her but puts his own feelings on the back burner as she is engaged. Gillian is a wild, breath of air. She owns the bridal store next to him and is engaged to a selfish man. She has allowed herself to settle in a relationship and move forward into a marriage even though she is not happy. Everyone around her can see this but deep down she knows but cannot quite admit it to herself.
When her fiance walks out on her in a monumental, shocking way, she is forced to examine her life and decide what is important to her. She struggles like anyone else would – she is hurt, angry and confused. Tucker is there for her to support her but you can see that he wants more and how perfect he would be for her. She is attracted to him but is terrified of a relationship. We watch the two grow in maturity and their relationship, constantly rooting for them to find their way to each other but understanding their hesitancy.
This is an excellent romance from start to finish, it was sweet, funny and kept you on your toes (not to mention adventure!). A great read from start to finish.
Tucker (Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas #2) by Emily March is another wonderful and sweet romance that has you wishing for Tucker to win Gillian from the beginning. This was another book by Miss March that I couldn’t put down and had to binge read until it was unfortunately over, but there was a happily ever after in the end. I do recommend to everyone!
Gillian and Tucker started on the wrong foot. They both had a goal in mind and won't compromise. Yet, one has given up in order for the other one achieves its ultimate dream.
I enjoyed how these two went head to head and even helped each other realised how love can change everything.
In the second book of the spin-off series of Eternity Falls, Tucker McBride has come home after retiring from the military to the Enchanted Canyon area of Texas, specifically to the town of Redemption, which he and his two cousins Jackson and Boone have inherited and rebuilt. Gillian Thacker also lives there, and runs a bridal shop with her mother, and has plans with her fiancé to buy an empty building across the square and start an adjunct company specializing in bridal and party planning . Things happen -- her wedding is called off, Tucker buys the building for his new Wilderness School, the two of them 'fight' -- and sparks happen. As does Angelica, who is Celeste Blessing's cousin with similar insights, only much more blunt. There are ups and down as is usual in Emily March's books, and all the characters take their time realizing that they belong together.'. All in all a fun read.
I really enjoyed this book by Emily March. I immediately engaged with the plot, and enjoyed the different dynamics between the various characters. Tucker was a fantastic hero, but I found the heroine to be a bit annoying.
I loved being a part of the blog tour for this book! I wish I liked the book more, but in the grand scheme of the romance genre, I'm just not interested in a bunch of straight white people! The writing was good, and I think others who love southern romances will like this book a lot. I don't have major problems with the book, I'm just wishing for more inclusivity!
I loved this book. The electricity between the two main characters was so good. It was an emotional read for me, but it also had humor. Good story and interesting and lovable characters. This one was a winner!
Tucker by Emily March is the second book in The McBrides of Texas series. I did read the first book, Jackson, but the books standalone nicely and the reader would have no trouble understanding what is going on by not having read the first book. Tucker is the story of Tucker McBride, operator of a wilderness skills training school and Gillian Thacker, a bridal salon operator. Tucker is patient, kind, and perfectly adorable. He decides early on that he wants to make Gillian his, but the problem is that she already has a fiance. Tucker and Gillian have great chemistry together, but will she end up with Tucker or Jeremy. You will want to read this sweet romance to find out. I am a fan of Emily March and this book did not disappoint.
I have chosen not to read/review this title as I was not able to connect with it or recommend it to the readers of our blog page or those who follow my reviews on Goodreads.
I apologize for the delay in this, as sending the negative reviews is something I (clearly) avoid doing for an embarrassingly long time.
Thank you, as always, for the review title.

Tucker McBride use to be in the military and was deployed overseas. He has a motorcycle. I liked that Tucker use to be an Army Ranger. Tucker is in his thirties. I liked Tucker from beginning. Tucker worked a desk job for a little bit and didn't like it. Gillian has an argument with her fiance and ends up walking down the road. I liked that Tucker was close to Haley. Gillian has a bride shop. Gillian's best friends with Tucker's cousins fiance. I liked that Tucker liked the outdoors and fishing. I wasn't a big fan of the survival school at first. The school helped showcase Jeremy's feelings and betrayal though. I thought Tucker was good with Gillian helping her through her funk. I thought she should be less oblivious that Tucker liked her. I really liked Tuckers story and thought it was much better than Jackson's story
I didn't read the first book in the series but this could be a standalone. I think you miss a few details you otherwise would have had but not anything that takes away from your understanding of the book. What took away from it for me was the over the top writing and terrible characters. Gillian is one of the most annoying female MC's I have read in quite some time and Tucker wasn't much better. The book was disjointed, predictable and frankly I was bored. Gillian's whining and worries about what other people might think and what was "proper" just drove me bonkers. If it weren't for a couple of redeeming side characters, I might have not finished this one.
Meet Gillian Thacker. Her business: Bliss Bridal Salon. Her passion: Weddings. Her own wedding: It’s complicated. Life isn’t turning out like she’d planned. The last thing she wants is for a real-life hero to ride to her rescue when an unexpected event puts her entire future in Redemption, Texas, at risk. So what’s a broken-hearted bridal expert to do? Maybe a new set of survival skills is exactly wha0t she needs…
This was a pretty decent story. The overall story was just sweet! I liked both main characters. I’ve not read any other books in this series but after this one I'll be looking them up! I recommend.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
“Tucker” is the second installment in the “Eternity Springs: The McBrides of Texas” series by Emily March. This was such a sweet book. I had not read book one in the series , “Jackson” , but I feel like this can be read on its own ( I do plan on going back and starting from the beginning). I was not lost in any way with what was taking place. I found myself smiling as I read. The story was very realistic. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future.
A sweet romance between Tucker, an ex Army Ranger and Gillian, a Bridal Salon owner. It has family, friendship and some humour.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the eARC,
Tucker has left the Army Rangers and also Washington D.C. behind on his motorcycle he decides to head for Eternity Springs where his cousins are at. Along the way, he passes a woman walking on the side of the road.
Gillian Archer normally has everything planned out. She did not plan to get into an argument with her fiancé this morning, nor hit the pecan tree, or be walking who knows where when she hears a motorcycle engine thinking that it is someone who has just gotten out of Huntsville prison, tattooed and has not been with a woman in over twenty years. Surprised when she sees the person who later is Tucker. She also should not be so happy that she is sitting on the back of the bike with him.
Weeks later having made up with her fiancé she is back to weddings and getting ready for her own. Still having some issues with her fiancé, she plods along. That is even after he ditched her at the New Years' dance. One afternoon crossing the street back to her shop she notices that the building she was planning on buying after her wedding now looks occupied and also has a flag stating “Let’s get Grubby”. Well, she gets upset, and when she finds out that her fiancé Jeremy was in on the sell their wedding is off.
Tucker and his wilderness school opens and even helps her at one time in the book. Both of the main characters are trying to find their place and each one is off with the other. Tucker is determined to be with Gillian will she be able to overcome her fears and self-debut. Read this very good book with heartfelt moments at times along with fun times. Very good characters all the way around. Very much worth the read.
I really enjoy the world Emily March has created in Eternity Springs, and the extension of that world that she's now created in Redemption, Texas. It's nice to catch up with some old friends from Eternity Springs, and the three main characters in this new series so far are as interesting as the ones from Eternity Springs. I made sure to read the first book in this series before reading this one, and I'm glad I did. It was nice to have the backstory of Tucker's arrival at Redemption and to dive further into that character. Gillian made a nice counterpoint to Tucker. As usual, we know where the characters are headed and where they'll end up, but their journey to that ending had surprises, humor, and kept me interested right up to that end. I look forward to picking up Boone's story in the next book.
My thanks to Netgalley and Martin's Press for providing a copy for an unbiased review.

I enjoy reading books authored by Emily March, so jumped at the chance to read TUCKER. Although TUCKER is the second book in the Eternity Springs:The McBrides of Texas trilogy, it is the only one in the series that I have read. TUCKER can easily be read as a standalone.
Tucker McBride has finished his time as a U.S. Army Ranger and is on his motorcycle heading for Redemption, Texas, when he passes a damsel in distress.
Gillian Thacker, a bridal salon owner, had a spat with her fiancé and in her hasty retreat, while trying to avoid hitting a wild boar, accidentally drove her car into a tree. Being a gentleman, Tucker turns his bike around, rescues Gillian, the damsel in distress, by taking her on his motorbike.
Sparks fly, but Gillian tells Tucker that she has a fiancé and will soon be wedded. Tucker has never had a serious girlfriend because of his army lifestyle, and keeps busy with setting up his wilderness skills training school.
Gillian's Bliss Bridal Salon is across the street from Tucker's new business, making it difficult for him to forget about her.
Will Gillian marry Jeremy? Or will the tall, ruggedly handsome, outdoorsy Tucker win her heart?
Humour and surprises tucked in here and there added to my pleasure and delight in reading this novel. I would like to read the other two books in the trilogy.
Special thanks to Emily March for writing this heartwarming, emotionally charged story. Also, thanks to Sara La Cotti, Publicity, St. Martin's Press, and NetGalley for providing me with a digital ARC of this book. The thoughts expressed here are my own.

It was a cute story, a bit slow at times, but overall a cute romantic story. I had a hard time sticking with it. There was some passion, the story line was alright- nothing over dramatic- Gillian was engaged to a guy that really didn’t respect her dreams and he breaks things off shortly before the wedding, and Tucker is a rough-around-the-edges guy that just retired from the military who sets his eyes on her as his forever and works towards that end. It was sweet, just a bit slower than I like. I made it to chapter 12, which is 57%, before I had to start skimming through it to get it done, which I never do. If you like sweet home-town romances without a lot of drama or emotional turmoil to get through, this is a Romance for you! It is on the tamer side for those who don’t like too much sex scenes. If you prefer stories that have more steamy scenes from start-to-finish (not necessarily sex just chemistry) than you will find this more on the tame sweet side, nothing wrong with that, just go in expecting it. I did like Jackson more than I did Tucker.
This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.
While the story was great at building up toward the eventual relationship between Gillian and Tucker, at times, I wanted it to move along a bit faster. Even with all the descriptive build up, I felt like I was dumped in a middle of a scene and missing parts of the plot. A plane crash was mentioned several times but not much details so I did not know what that was all about.
When Tucker first meets Gillian, she is engaged to Jeremy but everyone can see that he is not the right man for her except for Gillian.
Tucker was such a great character and you just loved him. Gillian was a bit harder to like as I kept wanting her to finally dump Jeremy and she didn't. I wanted her to accept her attraction to Tucker and she fought it, and there were times that I could really see why Tucker got frustrated with her! I loved that Tucker just kept trying to win Gillian and didn't give up!!
Hope we learn more about Boone and the mystery behind the woman leaving a child for him to adopt!
Tucker by Emily March is a heartfelt novel about second chances, love, and family. Of course, there were other issues discussed within the book. Relationships are complicated especially, Tucker's and Gillian's. There was an instant chemistry between them. I had hoped she dumped and left her fiancée for good and would explore what she and Tucker had. Only to find out that wasn't exactly the case. It was a tug of war. The emotional and physical attractions were visible enough. I rooted for them to be together. The story held sad, funny, and charming moments. One scene was Tucker with his little niece. That was one of my favorites. As well, as their first meeting and the ending. The bad fiancée of Gillian's was a jerk. He was all air and nothing else. The other minor characters made the book more enjoyable. I liked how the families and their friends were supportive. Overall, this was a great contemporary romance novel. 4.5-stars
