This is the third book in the Southern B&B Mystery series by Caroline Fardig.
The Bellandini sisters are back with a third installment of this exciting series.
Quinn and her sister Delilah are catering a big shindig event when the hostess ends up first spattered with the night’s dessert and then ends up dead in her upstairs bedroom. Quinn’s bandmade Pepper’s brother is fingered for the deed since he went along with a robbery scheme. A robbery scheme gone bad, it seems. Since they have little money, Quinn and Delilah decide to help them find the reasonable doubt the judges look for in cases.
There was a lot of angst in this surrounding not only the mystery in general but in the personal relationships surrounding the duo. Tucker and Quinn seem to have much of a strained relationship that I wondered what would happen to them in the future.
There is a big twist at the end for both the mystery, which was cool, and for the personal relationships in general. Don’t want to give too much of the excitement away. Just read this and see for yourself.
Great read. Another favorite series, for sure. I feel like this could be the last installment of this particular series, but one never knows the future of such things. I hope the author plans to keep it up since it just seems to be getting to the interesting stretch where a series becomes comfortable and fun to dive into.
If you love a good cozy mystery, definitely check this one out. You won’t be disappointed.
I received this as an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy) in return for an honest review. I thank NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this title.
This was a good solid cozy with interesting characters and a compelling whodunit.
I look forward to the next book in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
The 3rd installment of the Southern B&B series. Quinn Bellandini and her sister Delilah run their grandfather’s B&B in Savannah. She is looking forward to focusing on the B&B and her boyfriend Tucker when coordinating a charity event at a local philanthropists house the lady of the house is murdered. Her best friend Pepper’s brother is pegged as the culprit and Pepper begs Quinn to clear her name. Tucker is not too thrilled with her sleuthing (what boyfriend ever is) and yet they all jump in and work to find out who the murderer is. This is an entertaining and engaging mystery that keeps you reading well past bedtime. Another enjoyable read in this series and hope there is more to come. Recommend.
Southern Double Cross: A Southern B&B Mystery by Caroline Fardig was definitely a double-cross. How many times can you be somewhere a murder happens? Quinn does it again and she and her sister end up helping a friend investigate the murder. An enjoyable mystery but not Caroline Fardig's best. I would recommend it.
Fast paced cozy mystery.
Love the characters and how the author accentuates each one to be unique.
The main character in this story, Quinn, gets involved in a murder investigation to save her friend's brother from being accused of murder and theft.
This is a fun cozy mystery book that will keep the reader turning the pages until the very end.
Quinn and her sister are once again tangled up in a murder investigation, much to the disappointment of Quinn’s boyfriend Tucker.
Tucker knows that the sisters have a knack for getting into trouble, so after much debate, he reluctantly agrees to tag along on their inquiries.
I really was surprised at the reveal, which makes the book even better.
I highly recommend this book as part of the series, or as a stand-alone.
This is the first book in this series I have read but I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The southern charm of the community and tge cast of characters were fun and intriguing. I look forward to going back and reading to see how the characters got to where they are now.
I really enjoyed this book. It's clever and well written and I love how the characters are growing. If you like Southern humor this is the book and series for you. Great mystery with plenty of red herrings and twists and turns.
This was a very well written mystery. There are well defined characters, a pair of sisters & their friends acting as sleuths, plenty of suspects & a couple of romantic interests. The plot moved quickly with enough twists & turns to keep the reader interested & involved. Very enjoyable & entertaining!
In this third of hopefully a long series, Quinn Bellandini once again is caught up in trying to solve a murder. Her band mate Pepper’s brother is arrested after a murder at a fundraiser. The murder weapon is found in his car although he vigorously complains that he knows nothing about it.
As in the previous books, Quinn’s sister Delilah helps track down clues along with Pepper and Quinn’s boyfriend Tucker.
Quick moving and spirited, this is an easy and enjoyable read.
Such an enjoyable series and this installment is just filled with twist and turns that take you on a fast paced ride. The characters have really grown throughout the series and I am looking forward to more of the sisters adventures.
I received this ARC via Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group, in return for an honest review. While not the first in this series, it is easily read as a standalone. Two Southern sisters, Quinn & Delilah Bellandini, own a Savannah, SC, B&B. The story is told with Quinn as the main character, assisted by Quinn’s boyfriend, Tucker, plus Delilah and other characters. Tucker’s family is old Savannah; Quinn and Delilah’s are not. When one of Savannah’s elite ‘Southern Belles’ is found dead at a social philanthropic party, a friend’s brother is accused of her murder. Quinn, Delilah and their friends undertake to find out who really killed her and why. The characters are well written and well-defined. That’s always a plus when there are so many in the storyline. That allows lots of possible killers and motives, which moves the story along well. The siblings’ interpersonal relationships also work well in the book. I look forward to the next entry in the series.

The sleuthing sisters' best friend's idiot brother has been scapegoated for murder when he chose to get involved with some rather savvy thieves and everyone is in a dither to find the right murderer and reduces the charges on the brother. Lots of disconnected sleuthing, red herrings, misdirection, and still time for a new romance. A fun read!
The sisters are in charge of the daily operations of the rather large B&B, their mother is a flake, there's a ghostly uncle, and grandpa was a marvelous stage magician before grandma opened the B&B in Savanna, Georgia. Lots of laughs, red herrings, and misdirection make this a great read!
I requested and received a free ebook copy from Alibi/Penguin Random House Publishing via NetGalley. Thank you!
The Bellandini sisters are back and in full on sleuthing mode. When the brother of their friend Pepper is arrested for the murder of a society matron at an event Quinn is in charge of, three women team up to clear his name.
This series has been fun as we watch Quinn and Delilah Bellandini evolve over the past three books. From Quinn being shy and timid to being a go getter and gaining her assertiveness to Delilah finding love, it’s been a fantastic set up.
I do hope this is not the end of a trilogy, but that there is more to come from the Bellandini sisters in the future.
What a great series. I this read in one day. I'm hoping its not the last in the series. Quinn works a charity event where there was a murder. Quinn her sister and a friend start there own investigation without the police's approval. Will there be another's murder before the killer is caught. Read the book to find out.
I enjoyed this book. I thought this story was interesting. It has many twists and turns and is fast-paced. I really like how they all cooperate together to solve the mystery of who the bad guys are. I had no clue who the killer was. #SouthernDoubleCross #NetGalley
