Kids will devour just about any graphic novel so this will probably find its way on to our library shelves so I can tell the kids we have a new one.
This was cute, mostly because of the difficulties between the kitten and the dad. I was really confused who Chloe was since most of the book she is called Misty and then on the last page it mentions that Chloe is sometimes called Misty.
ARC Copy...it was cute especially if love hyper active cats (owner or/and lover of cats). I find it useful and informative, that the comic included kitty care information for future or current kitty owners! Nice touch on that feature.
My son who loves cats and graphic novels adored this sweet and fun book. My son enjoyed the adventures of the growing pains and adjustments of having a new kitten, in particular how the dad had to earn the love and trust of Cartoon. The story gives a realistic perspective of what people may idealize cat ownership to be, to what the reality is. But most importantly this book has added some valuable tips on what you need if you adopt a kitten. The only part of this storyline that i would have changed was where the kitten was adopted from. The parents answered an ad in the paper. It would have been more encouraging for the author to promote adoptions from shelters. That seems to be the missing element with what this whimsical "tail" told.
Thank you to Netgalley and Papercutz for the ARC in exchange for an honesty review.
