Gotta love a good 'snowed in' romance, right? This one was great! Tate and Olivia find themselves meeting again after five years when they are snowed in together. So much fun!
A heartwarming romance and being snowed in with the rancher is absolutely perfect! Another delightful story in the series.
It was sort of cute, but not amazing. I really liked Tate, but i wish we got more from Olivia.. i was missing something.
Olivia and Tate meet on a cruise five years ago. Tate never taking a vacation was practically made to leave the ranch and go. He would meet Olivia the first day and would find that they were a match with what they liked to do and she also made him try things he never did like snorkeling. Then when they returned to the ship one afternoon with plans to meet for dinner Olivia is called away to the captain’s office for a ship to shore phone that would change her life. One she found out her parents were killed in a car accident and later would find out she was pregnant. Not ever exchanging last names or phone numbers she had no way of contacting Tate. He took it as another person leaving him like his mother did when he was young.
Five years later and she is moving from Seattle to Montana for a job and just maybe she can run into Tate again. Well her prayers are answered when one of her daughters is injured and they are stuck in the snow when a storm comes in. the man who comes and rescues them is none other than Tate who she recognizes immediately. He takes the three of them to his cabin close by and from there the story turns into one that has him not wanting to be part of the family. He loves her and the girls he just doesn’t know how to get over the feeling of he is not to have a family or be a father.
This works for him (not) when he tells Olivia she can be with anyone and the first guy out several he sees giving her their numbers change his mind quickly but it is still a work in progress. Turns out to be a good book and the characters are all very good as well.
Cute second chance love story! The setting was unique and I enjoyed seeing how they reconnected. The twins were adorable and this was an overall fun and sexy read!
Olivia Wickham could never forget the cowboy she met on a cruise five years ago. The two spent a magical few days together before she was called home for an emergency, without giving him her number. She would have gotten over Tate McConnell—it was just a few nights of paradise, after all—if it wasn’t for two little things: her twin daughters, who were born as a result of those wonderful days. Though she searched for her lost romance in vain, she never forgot his mesmerizing eyes, and the way his smile made her melt inside.
On a trip to the wilderness just before Christmas, things take a scary turn when one of her daughters is injured on a snowshoeing tour and the little family is unknowingly left behind by the guide. When Tate shows up to save them, she instantly knows who he is—the father of her children, and possibly the love of her life.
This was a great story with some great characters. I liked both Tate and Olivia. I’m always kind of iffy about secret pregnancy stories, but I liked how this one played out. I liked the flow of the book as well as the ending. I recommend.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed this book
Awwww such a sweet story! Olivia and Tate meet on a cruise! The Olivia disappears without them exchanging last names! 5 years later the meet again in a most unusual way! And boy does she have a couple surprises for him!
I read and reviewed this advanced complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley
I don't think this was my type of story, i personally just did not have any interest much in the characters nor the fact the twin girls woke more like a 6 or so year old then a 4 year old. I really wanted to like this story but maybe another time i can reread it and see what my thoughts are again!
Fun entertaining story
What is it with the second chances, that most of the time excites us? And Mary Sue Jackson presents us with "Snowed in with the Rancher" a good example of this kind of story. Intriguing and exciting is the story of the kind of shy cowboy and the stranger met on a cruise. When they meet again, the relationship is most of the time steamy and dominated from lust and sexual tension. The chemistry and deeper feelings are lacking a bit. But besides that, it is a fun read with small-town scandals and gossip, but also the warm feeling a small town can bring, when people know and help each other.
An entertaining story that weakens somewhat at a deeper level of the relationship. But readers will have some entertaining hours.
These two Tate and Olivia are a volatile and fragile package that should read, flammable when touched. A sexy and fun read, where I would have like to feel sorry for Tate but I just wanted to slap him on the upside of his head but thanks to Vince subtle nudges he got a painful and rude awakening instead. I love the twins and their mom Olivia a strong woman indeed. A must-read I would say, folks.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. I believe this.is part of a series, but reads quite well as a stand alone. I found this unbelievable but still fun! Cute. Poor Tate is shocked to rescue a woman from his past! 3.5 stars
There was a lot of missed opportunity in this book. Important scenes were either cut short or completely missing to evoke that full emotional response. The biggest part that didn't make sense is that she couldn't find him after the cruise. She could have asked for them to pass a message along with her information. The whole story is given away in the synopsis, the book is just a more detailed version. I did enjoy the story, but felt a lot was missing, including some key components. If you're looking for a quick fluffy read, then this book will satisfy you.
3.5 stars
Cowboys and kids? Sign me up! Although a little predictable, this was an enjoyable read that, for most of the book, flowed well. I liked the writing style but found it a little too tame for my tastes. The sexy times are lite and the language safe. This is my first read from this author and I would probably categorize it as "clean". That's not necessarily a bad thing, just not what I was expecting.
The majority of this story was enjoyable. There were a few items I had small problems with, the most glaring one is safe sex. The story is a quick, light read. Grab an adult beverage and enjoy.
This book was so good. It was cute with the twins as well. Love the authors and cannot get enough of them.
While the book was somehow a Christmas story and the book is well written, what bothered me here was the characters. Mainly, the heroine.
I'm probably spoiling a book (but hey, the blurb tells the whole story so I can't really spoil much, right?) but Olivia expected too much from Tate. The man learned he was a father in a day or two after they (including children) first saw each other after years and already Olivia expects a family, a husband. I can't imagine what was she going through, raising twins all on her own for almost five years, but I think it's illogical to expect so much after a day they reunited. If she wasn't expecting a fantasy, this book could turn out so different. It took her almost the whole book to realize she was irrational. No kidding, he was living on his own all that time, not knowing he was a father.
The second, very important part for me, that really bothered me (even more than the heroine) was the way we are told of important moments. For example, when Tate told his parents he has twins, we are not told the emotions of that moment. Was he nervous, were they shocked when they found out, first reactions? No. Instead the author cut this moment with ''Five minutes later the grandparents...''. We literally jump from Tate signing on Skype to ten minutes later when the grandparents found out. The exact same thing happen when they told the twins he was their father. Do we see the excitement, first reaction when they realize their father is in front of them? No, we are told how one of them asked how the babies were made. The twins were without a father for all this time and yet, it's a moment that makes it as important as describing pouring milk into a mug. This IS an important moment but the author didn't make it one which is why the story lost its charm for me. And the last situation was when the grandparents came to visit. We don't get to see how they reacted when they first saw their grandchildren, no, the author jump from them coming to the house to the twins already sitting on their laps. It's the first moments that would make this story a feel-good Christmas romance about family, love, reuniting, rekindling their love, it's the first moment that counts in a story like this. Instead, for me, this was just a mediocre, 3 stars book.
This is a cracking little book. Its the story of missed chances and lost romances. Olivia and Jake were great characters and i love these kinds of books, make very enjoyable reading.
Olivia and Tate meet around five years ago on a cruise. Now years later, they meet again, and he is introduced to his twin daughters. I liked this one, and also liked the perception each one had on the issue. An instant family is not going to happen overnight, and this shows that. I liked the twist to it, and naturally enjoyed the girls and a friendly old dog. Sweet story, and a nice easy Christmas read. Highly recommend.
Snowed in with the Rancher is a wonderful second chance romance. Engaging characters and a well delivered storyline made this a great read and definitely a keeper and I recommend you grab your copy.
I thought that this was a lovely story and it was a lovely way for me to pass a few hours.
I thought that it was a well developed plot but it was a little slow in places though for me. I thought that the characters worked well together and they were well developed too.
It is 4 stars from me for this one, it is another really enjoyable story this author combination!
