It was okay. I have not read anything of the author before, but it felt a bit..weak? I mean, the promsie was intriguing, but it left me a bit..meh?
This was a decent read. I haven’t read this author before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was quick to read. The characters were likable and the overall plot was good. I recommend.

In the last book of the Desert Destiny series, we see Prince Khalid Al-Hakim fall for a beautiful journalist. When she is kidnapped, he must confront his deepest fear in order to save the woman he loves. Can he save her before it's too late?
Her Desert Protector is, in my humble opinion, the best book in the series. I loved the chemistry between Zoey and Khalid. The plot moved at a great pace and the romantic scenes between Zoey and Khalid are smokin' hot. If you're looking for an escape beach read, pick up Her Desert Protector today! Highly recommend!
My Rating: 5+ stars
In the fourth Desert Destiny series book, Zoey Lacey travels to the small Middle-Eastern country of Bashir to write about the upcoming 300th year celebration of the country’s founding. While in the market, taking pictures, she accidentally draws the attention of a group of young men, who chase after her. Luckily for her, she runs right into the hottest man she’d ever seen—the country’s head of security.
Khalid al-Hakim is also a prince, the youngest of four brothers, and he puts Zoey under his protection whether she likes it or not. Though he’s worried about her and a series of attacks that seems focused on her, he also has to see to the protection of his people and his family from a villain he can’t find.
Zoey and Khalid were wonderful. Her strength and his need to shelter her often clashed, but they worked through it and learned how to work together.
Khalid’s three older brothers and their women were interesting, but I couldn’t really connect with them. I haven’t read the previous books in the series, so sometimes I was confused, but each of those couples had a brief back-story. I would’ve liked to know more.
I enjoyed the plot and the H/h, but the story could use a light edit to clear up a few typos and filter words. Overall, it’s a good story and I’m happy I read it.
4 Stars
I enjoyed this book the characters were well written and the book was very much to my taste. I love desert stories.
This book was such a great book. The storyline was just as good as the others before it. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
Her Desert Protector by Marie Tuhart is book 4 in the Desert Destiny Series. This is the story of Khalid Al-Hakim and Zoey Lace. I have read the previous books but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Zoey is a traveling photographer / journalist and that job has taken her to Bashir, where she hopes to get a breaking story. Khalid is a Prince but he is also in charge of Security for his family and country. So when Zoey's life is put in danger due to her job he goes forward to protect her and his family. But of course feelings between the two start to come out as well.
Prince Khalid Al-Hakim who is in charge of security for his country crosses paths with Zoey to find she is in danger. Enter kidnapping, suspense and rescue to season their feelings and find a future together. This is the 4th book in the Al-Hakim series and keeps the reader turning the pages.
Ebook from netgalley and publisher with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
This book is definitely worth more than five stars.
Even though I haven’t read the books before this one
I had no trouble getting to know the characters.
Zoey is travel blogger and when she was looking around
town she had a filling there was something not right as
she was rushing to get away from three young men she
bump into Khalid .
That night her room was broken into so Khalid to the palace .
This is where the story really starts. There’s action drama and steam.
Definitely a book that pretty hard to put down.

Her Desert Protector is the fourth book in author Marie Tuhart's Desert Destiny series, and the story of Khalid, who head of security for Bashir, and Zoey Lace, a journalist and travel blogger covering the country's 300th anniversary. Once again, the author has penned a wonderfully descriptive book that captures the beauty of this exotic setting and the family dynamics too. There was so much to like about this book, but I also found it lacking in detail. I appreciate that this is basically a novella length series, but this particular story could have given us so much more. The saving grace for me was the final exciting moments where the author’s riveting writing style was fully on display. I’m not sure if this is the last in the series, but we can only hope for more.
I love this story! It was a great multicultural romance that swept me away. The characters were well-rounded and the sex scenes were tastefully written. I can't wait to read the other books in this series. I received an Advanced Reader's Copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
