Most of this was quite lovely! A couple parts felt like I was being talked down to, but maybe I misinterpreted. Overall, a wonderful read for embracing yourself where you are.
Overall, this book was very different than I believed it would be.
There are some ideas and thoughts expressed that I personally don't agree with.
However, that being said -
I truly enjoyed reading the 15 ladies stories of illness, loss of faith, rejection, abortion, infertility, miscarriage, addiction, betrayal, bulimia, and depression, etc. and them sharing how they overcame and walked away victorious.
The book was also very well-done from a reading standpoint and flows very nicely.
So for those two reasons, I am giving it 4 stars and I wish the author continued success on her writing endeavors.

Catholic women tell in their own words their feelings of guilt, shame, not being good enough, etc. The book tells how they are able to overcome these feelings of shame and sin. The stories come from their heart. We as a reader are helping with our own healing process through bible verse, prayers and reflections.
I will definitely be recommending this to my friends.

Freedom from shame, knotted with sin, being afraid, fear and many more issues that women feel with all of our hearts and emotions. The book helps every woman to feel free from the feelings and emotions of our sins and shame. Each section titled as Daughters, sisters, brides and mothers written by women who went through certain issues and helps other women to get over the similar emotions and issues. As a reader we are helped with healing ourselves and with bible verse, prayers and reflections. I would recommend this book for any woman who needs help with healing of their hearts. This book is a collection of stories from fifteen Catholic women and how they freed themselves from fear and shame. At the end of each story, there is a passage from scripture to reflect on, journaling questions and prayers. Unfortunately, most of these stories failed to resonate with me and I could not connect to any of them. However, other women may find this book valuable as a guide to healing from shame.
This book is so softly written. I can just hear a quiet, gentle voice narrating this from a heart that is open, honest and vulnerable. A heart that has been touched by the hand of Jesus and created into something beautiful.
I think a lot of people, including me, have struggled through sin and shame from that sin. This book gives great points to overcome, not let that sin define and be free from it all.
Definitely going to be suggesting this book to my friends who I think would enjoy it. I'll be reading it again too to soak in the spiritual reflections and meditation things she suggests.
