I love the layout of this book. It’s so helpful to have a real life example from a Saint’s life to help me better understand the ideas presented in the book.
I love God with all my heart and soul but I've also always been the person who won't make eye contact when someone asks the question, "Who would like to pray for us?" I've never been confident in my prayers as I always just kind of rambled, but this book has really helped me with changing that. I'm seriously grateful.
This was beautifully written and I loved the way it helped me deepen my prayers. A great gift to give yourself and friends looking to further develop their conversations with God.
This book is such a beautiful aid to anyone's prayer life. Prayer, though I love it, has always been such a struggle for me. How do I pray? When? For how long? What on earth do I even say?? Doesn't God already know the needs of His people? How can my fumbled prayers possibly bring about change, in any capacity?
Michele Faehnle and Emily Jaminet take a step-by-step approach (much to my brain's delight) to tackling prayer. The book is written friend-to-friend, which immediately set me at ease and had me wanting to read more. I was nervous, when I began, that the tone of the book would have me feeling worse about my prayers questions. But it was exactly the opposite. It felt like an understanding friend was listening to my insecurities, and then passing along her wisdom. Not only were my prayer insecurities addressed, but more importantly, I now feel that I know how to approach prayer better. I am so thankful to the authors for their time and their teaching! A definite recommend.
An excellent and inspiring guide to helping women have a fuller prayer life. With portraits of many holy women who were prayer warriors, it's a great book fir Catholic women.
A wonderful, easy to read book on prayer! Helping women who want a more intimate prayer time with God.
There are encouragement and tips from women who share their prayer journeys and how to connect with God more often. Get you a journal before reading this book and learn how to make your own prayer journal. This was a refreshing look into the power of prayer and thanking God for answered prayer. This was my first time reading from these wonderful authors.

Do you really pray, or do you just rattle off a rote prayer before bed and go to Mass? This book contains excellent suggestions for praying more fully, and having a meaningful relationship with Jesus. These include telling him all your worries, staying quiet and waiting for answers, and spiritual exercises, It is also important to follow the example of the saints, and to pray more profoundly during Mass. The authors explain how these will help clearly and concisely.

What a delightful book! Although not long, there is an overflowing buffet of ideas, thoughts, stories, prayers, meditation & prayer exercises throughout. It covers almost any mood, state of mind, experiences that a woman may have had or where they are currently in their faith journey.
I liked the use of a particular saint to correspond with the chapter's topic. It helps in grounding the thoughts in reality. The concept of journaling as you pray is wonderful. If you have the paper version of this book, it sounds like there is blank space at the back to do so. If you have a digital version, you can either make notes on your device or have a separate journal to write in.
I read a little bit at a time during my Eucharistic Adoration hour and incorporated the ideas from this book. It has really helped in deepening my prayer life. While I have heard some of these thoughts before, this book puts many of those together in one package. It may be geared towards women; but anyone could benefit from this.
This would be a fantastic resource to use at a retreat. Highly recommend

Real life advice from the trenches of daily life Pray Fully has what you need to incorporate more prayer in your daily life. The personal stories draw you in and encourage you to connect with God more often. This book would be a great resource for a Catholic book club, a gift for a mom celebrating the baptism or first communion of one of her children., or a woman entering the church. Really anyone would gain inspiration within the pages of Pray Fully. Well done Michelle and Emily! I can’t wait to share this book with my friends.
I very much enjoyed this book. I love reading stories of prayer, and these book was full of them. It was encouraging but not heavy-handed, and pulled a lot of meditative, Ignatian style prayers alongside lectio divina. It never strayed far from it's goal or into overwrought saccharine piety or complicated long prayer. I think it's good for people who feel pulled to prayer but don't quite "get there" so to speak, whether due to stray thoughts or busy lives or whatever else.
I will say: read with a journal. There are many prompts that will help you jump start your prayer time if needed.
