Sweet rom-com with a happy ever after! Lincoln is your adorable nerd who is done with love after divorcing his cheating wife. Lilly is a strong, kind woman who's past involves being "the other woman". Can Lincoln move past Lilly's past and risk his heart to love again? The Best Man Problem gives some spice ❤️‍🔥 with a lot of sweet. A great summer read.

This is the second book in the Mile High Happiness series. A decently cute story with funny banter. But, it's rather cliche with the typical wedding planner scenario.

Quick fun read with witty banter. A cliche best man wedding planner plot was a easy read not too deep not super shallow.

SOOO funny! When you find out your one-night stand is also the best man for the wedding you're planning, you either jump ship or do your best to ignore the chemistry between you. Lilly is super uptight, but with good reason to keep her distance. Too bad Lincoln is determined to remind her how good they are together. Mariah Ankenman writes the best RomCom's and I guarantee your cheeks will still be sore the next day from laughing so hard. Don't miss out on this wonderful series!

This was just okay. The writing didn't flow as well as I would have liked, and it was hard for me to get into the story. I found Lilly annoying, even though I understood that she had legitimate reasons for staying away from Lincoln. It was more the way she constantly thought about him and fooling around with him again, but wouldn't act on it. It was exhausting reading that. The biggest thing was it didn't seem like anyone else was bothered by her and Lincoln, just her. Lincoln was okay, at least his reasons for not wanting a relationship made sense to me. I really enjoyed the friendships between the two MCs and their friend groups. It was better for me than the relationship between Lilly and Lincoln. This was a first for me from this author, but I would read her again.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

Leading with the sex in chapter one, we meet our heroine, Lilly, trying to gracefully escape a scorching one-night stand. Not the type of girl to do that on the regular (are they ever?), Lilly believes she'll never see Lincoln, our tall-dark-and-sexy hero, again. But she's in for one manly surprise when Lincoln is the Best Man for the wedding Lilly's company is planning. Oops!

I loved both Lilly and Lincoln right off the bat. They're both funny and sexy, with sparks flying. They have great chemistry, which is ratcheted even higher when Lilly refuses to continue a relationship due to her rule of "No dating clients or client-adjacent". But Lincoln is determined to get Lilly to break her rule and slip back into his bed.

This is a quick, light contemporary romance; the second in a series of stand-alones centered around the same group of characters. There is just enough tension, both due to Lilly's self-imposed rule and past relationships to keep the reader engaged. And of course, the sex is hot, and it never fades to black. Sweet, sexy, and a rockin good time, The Best Man Problem is one you will want to solve.

Ahhhhh this was just such a great read. I just didn't want this book to end and I was sad to turn the last page. I'm so excited to see what's next from this author.

This is not an original plot. Meaning you can see the whole story from about chapter 3 but that isn't a bad thing. Right now this is the absolute perfect book to read. It is light, witty, and has a lot of banter. The main characters are easily likeable and they do have chemistry that you can feel in the book.
Overall this is just a light and loveable read that is perfect when you just need a Happily Ever After.

I adored the first book in the Mile High Happiness series, so when I had the chance to read an early e-ARC of The Best Man Problem by Mariah Ankenman, I jumped. This one was just as charming as the first book, and has me even more eagerly awaiting the third installment.

Each book is a standalone romance, so no worries if you haven’t read The Best-Friend Problem (although I highly recommend it). Lilly and Lincoln were such great characters, and their chemistry is sizzling. There’s also so much heart and humor injected into this story, making it truly fit the definition of a “feel-good read.” This book just made me happy.

Lilly and Lincoln both bring their own baggage to the table, and it causes hurdles for both of them to overcome in regards to building a relationship. But sometimes, those sparks just can’t be denied.

I loved seeing the push and pull between these two, and the build-up both to their major conflict and their eventual resolution were truly satisfying. Definitely a swoon-worthy, and at times hilarious, romance.

This is one of my favorite current series and I cannot wait to get a story about Mo!

The Best Man Problem is about Lilly Walsh, one of the co-owners of the Mile High Happiness wedding planning company in Denver. She is wary of love after a disastrous relationship almost ruined the company and then she meets the handsome Lincoln. He was a great character, frustrating at times but absolutely adorable and lovable.

These books are quick reads and are so sweet and romantic.

I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley for an honest review.

Synopsis:
Lilly Walsh is used to keeping things buttoned-up and aboveboard. After all, the last time she hooked up with someone in a wedding party, it nearly cost her her wedding planning business. Thankfully, those rules don’t apply when she meets a handsome stranger in a hotel bar. One bad pirate joke leads to the best night of her life, but come morning, she’s got a wedding to plan.

Lincoln Reid never imagined he’d see the woman who rocked his world last night and then ran out on him ever again. But there she is, planning his best friend’s wedding with the same passion and drive that brought him to his knees. She’s adamant that wedding planner and best man can never mix, but that just means he’s got four weeks to make her see him as more than just a one-night guy. Because he’s itching for more than one night...or five, or ten…

Review:
This is the first book I've read by Mariah Ankenman. It won't be the last though! After, the last few books I was disappointed in, this one was a breath of fresh air. I loved the premise of the book. Lilli hooks up with Lincoln for a one night stand in which they both think will be okay and they will part ways in the morning. At that point in their lives neither are eager for a relationship because he's just gotten over a divorce and she too just isn't ready to look for love. They are both are members of an upcoming wedding and thrown into a tight space together. They find out what means more to them and how to jump past fear. I adored this one and can't wait to read more by this author.

This was a great read. The two main characters, Lilly and Lincoln, were interesting and sparked a lot of heat between the two of them. Lilly is hesitant to get into a relationship after her last one failed so spectacularly and caused trouble for her business. Linc has been burned, too, and has no desire to get serious with someone again. But the two are forced to work together and the sparks just get hotter and hotter. This is the second in a series, but I didn’t feel as though I was missing out on anything by not having read the first book. (Though I will be picking up a copy to find out how Lilly’s friend found her happy ending.) Recommened.

The romance starts with a hot one night stand and develops into a sweet, lovely romance. I really enjoyed this one!

Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

The Best Man Problem by Marian Ankenman is an entertaining novel that starts with a one-night stand that turns into the possibility and promise of true love. The main characters—Lilly and Lincoln meet unexpectedly after a one-night stand when they realize that Lilly is the wedding planner for Lincoln’s two best friends. The interest and attraction grows between the two main characters—but issues from their pasts continually resurface. The main and side characters are engaging and delightful. The storyline is realistic and poignant. Marian Ankenman gives readers an excellent read.

I received a copy of this book from Entangled Publishing via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This was a charming and witty book. I adored Lilly and her snarky comments (internal or spoken it didn't matter!) This book also had some very great words of wisdom about life, love and growing from each relationship whether it was a failure or a success. These characters were written in such a manner that I was fully enchanted and felt so real to me. It was almost like I was right there in the middle of the scenes.

This book is the second of the series and also the second book from this author that I have read. I so look forward to reading many more of her books. I am so looking forward to reading the third BFF of the group, Moira's story. She is such a great character. As the second story of the series, you really don't need to read the first story as the author did a fantastic job of writing that this could be a stand-alone (I HIGHLY recommend reading the first story though!!!)

The story was written in a dual POV format. It is my favorite as I can get into the characters' minds to fully understand their actions in a given situation.

This is a sexy story with some bedroom scenes. There were some details given but not of an erotica manner. That being said, I highly recommend this story for anyone over the age of 18. Especially if you adore a great rom-com.

I liked this book. I feel like there was a lot of push and pull though instead of having direct conversations about the whys.

Thanks to Netgalley for the free read. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed this book by Mariah Ankenman. My first by her but not my last. I will definitely read book one in this series as I want to know more about Pru.
Lilly and Lincoln had a pretty hot night together after meeting in a bar. Little did they know they'd see each other again...when Lincoln shows up at Lilly's place of business with his friends. Lilly made an error with a wedding party member previously and she does not want to make the same mistake again. She will absolutely not mix business and pleasure. That leaves Lincoln 4 weeks to show her he can be more than a one-night stand.
I adored Lincoln and Lilly as they navigated around each other. Getting to know one another without actually dating. Loved Lilly's friendship with Pru and Mo. Oh Mo...cannot wait for her story! Lincoln's friendship and loyalty to his own friends was wonderful as well.
There was humour and friendship and, in the end, love. A thoroughly enjoyable book.

“Mariah Ankenman” has delivered another smartly plotted and perfectly executed rom-com with a spot-on sense of snarky wit, and a generous helping of smouldering sexual chemistry with swoon worthy characters. “The Best Man Problem” is entertaining, funny, sexy, witty and has all the feels. So abandon your chores for the day and go grab this book as you don’t want to miss out on this spectacular book. God, wish I could give it more than five stars. This book deserves a massive round of applause. It’s that spectacular!! Happy reading!!
