A Good Marriage explores what lies beneath the surface of friendships, families, and communities. The dark secrets and surprising twists that are throughout this book keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. You won't be able to put it down!
LOVED this book. Brilliant writing and plot. Ending shocked me but in a good way. Highly recommend
A Good Marriage is a story about an attorney who gets a call from an old college friend asking for her help. She goes to the prison to meet with him and agrees to take his case if her boss will agree to it.
The whirlwind that ensues is a crazy ride.
There are so many things happening. Lizzie has to piece together everything to get to the truth.
While doing all this work she is also having to worry about her marriage and determine if her husband is still drinking and as innocent he says he is about that drinking problem.
Kimberly McCreight is a great read whether it's her mysteries or her teen books
A Good Marriage is a solid mystery/suspense that keeps you guessing until the end. Lizzie is an attorney who has agreed to help her old law school friend Zach when he is accused of murdering his wife Amanda. Flashbacks with Amanda and her friends reveal the troubled lives of Brooklyn's elite, while Lizzie is dealing with her own marital problems. There's quite a few twists and turns and I did not see the ending coming. Overall, a good read.
A Good Marriage follows two women, Lizzie and Amanda. Amanda is brutally murdered, so we get her story through a series of flashbacks. Lizzie is a lawyer with a complicated personal life who went to law school with Amanda's husband, Zach, and ends up representing him. There's a lot going on in this book, several major story lines and everyone's lives are very complicated. There are a lot of red herrings, unreliable narrators, plot twists, etc. But it works! Kimberly McCreight ties it all together. A fun read.
Another great book by Ms. McCreight. Having read two of her prior books, I was excited to see she had written another. This book had me on the edge of my seat...what a ride! So many twists and turns. I didn't see the ending coming. Thank you for the advanced copy.
Federal prosecutor Lizzie Kitsakis is still getting over the implosion of her marriage when she gets a call from an old friend needing help. Zach Grayson is being accused of killing his wife Amanda. He insists he’s innocent and when Lizzie begins to investigate she uncovers some strange happenings with Zach and Amanda’s friends, all parents of children at an elite school. If you like Big Little Lies, than this one is for you
