Twists and turns abound in the latest from Liv Constantine. Piper Reynard is new to the wealthy enclave of Westport, Connecticut. Beautiful, rich, and ambitious, she is the owner of a health and wellness center. When she meets equally gorgeous and successful attorney Leo Drakos, it doesn't take long before she sinks her hooks in. The only problem? Leo is married to Joanna. Joanna is a devoted wife and mother of their two children, and she doesn't intend to give up Leo without a fight. Joanna makes it her mission to uncover all that she can about Piper's mysterious background. What she does discover raises red flags....Piper has a history of those close to her dying in mysterious deaths. Will Leo, as well as his two children, be next?
Joanna continues her hunt, becoming more and more paranoid as she learns more about Piper. Who IS Piper? A beautiful and motivated woman hard on her luck? Or a vicious killer, intending to lure Leo and the kids away so that she can gain more victims?
This book is so twisted. The ending was completely unexpected, and honestly had me doing a double take. There were also some unanswered questions which could completely open this book up for a sequel. I was absolutely shaking my head when I finished it, perplexed as to who the true villain was in this book. It's not to be missed!
What a wild ride. Written from two perspectives, Liv Constantine weaves a totally engrossing story with twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages as fast as you can. Highly recommend.
WOW!! This book kept me on the edge the whole time!! Liv Constantine is an amazing storyteller! I was unable to put this down and read in 2 days!!
Wow wow wow. This is one of those books where you think you know what’s going on. But I am going to tell you that you don’t! The two POVs give two different perspectives to the story which I felt was important. Once I came to the twist I had to reread the whole page again to make sure I wasn’t confused. This was such a good book! Definitely recommend
This was a quick and fun domestic thriller; a perfect pool or beach read. The twist was slightly unbelievable but I did not see it coming!
Piper has relocated to Connecticut for a fresh start. With a new name, a new business, and her past behind her, she is ready to begin a new life. When Leo Drakos walks into her job, the attraction is undeniable, but his wedding ring is a cause for concern. While Joanna tries to get him out of his funk at home, Piper brings out a new side of him that leads to a whirlwind romance. Joannas mother falls ill, and when she moves out to care for her mother, Piper swoops in to care for the children and steal Leo. Joanna doesn’t trust her, but can she uncover the secret life Piper left behind before it’s too late? True to their form, “The Wife Stalker” will take you on a wild ride that leaves you expecting a twist, but not expecting THE twist.
Thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins Publishing for providing me with a copy for an honest review.
Joanna’s mom becomes ill and needs her assistance. However, while away, she has been asked not to return to her home, as she is being replaced by a younger woman named Piper. Blindsided and devastated, she is determined to win the love of her life back and shield her children from this new woman. She begins to research Piper’s past and discovers that she was previously widowed as a result of a tragedy. Is Piper really the result of a string of unlucky events, or she a black widow planning to prey again? Either way, Joanna is watching and ready to strike back to protect the ones she loves if necessary.
The twist in this one really had me! (I actually had to reread some parts to make sure that I was really reading the words that I was comprehending.). 😜I did not see it coming! At first, I wasn’t quite sure if I liked the change of events, but after it was fully developed, I appreciated it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Liv Constatine is a fantastic writer. This is one book I will not forget. Told in alternate POV between Piper and Joanna. I don't want to give any spoilers, but this is a fantastic read. Liv has true talent. If you liked The Last Mrs. Parrish, this book is for you!
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Liv Constantine takes us on another crazy ride in The Wife Stalker! Just when I smugly thought I had it all figured out she totally cranked the story in a surprising direction. Easy handsell!
I love the writing duo that is Liv Constantine. This book delivered on what I've come to expect from these writers: a group of characters I'm not completely sure about, a twist I absolutely did not see coming, even though I was trying to figure out what the twist would be the whole time I read the book, and an appreciation for characters who are not entirely what they seem to be. I also very much appreciated that although the authors smacked me with the twist at the end, there was also that remaining doubt about the "winner" in the contest between Joanna and Piper: is she or isn't she somewhat sinister?
I absolutely love this author and was thrilled to be given the opportunity to get an advanced copy of this book. It did NOT disappoint! I stayed up way past my bedtime to finish reading this fast-paced and intriguing book! Just when I thought I had figured out what might happen next, another twist threw me for a loop! I highly recommend it!
I really hate to say it but .....I was not all that impressed with this book. I had such high expectations and it fell flat ... the characters (it was so hard to like any of them or root for any of them) and the momentum (story moved so slowly, I actually found myself skimming sections to move it along faster) ....... until the end! A twist I wasn't expecting and that made reading it worth it. You can't win them all and they can't all be 5 star books. I still look forward to seeing what this author comes up with next.
Thank you #netgalley and #HarperCollins Publishers for the eARC.
The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine had a great twist ending that I never saw coming! Fans of thrillers and suspense will love this novel.
Fabulous! Not my first read by Liv Constantine & far from my last. I love this genre & she executed it perfectly every time!!
Another excellent book by Liv Constantine! Loved the writing style, loved the character development and loved how it tied it up at the end. These authors do an exceptional job of really showing you the characters and enabling the reader to feel all the emotions. Highly recommend!

This is one of those chilling thrillers that once I finished I needed to go back to the beginning to re-read and see where I'd gotten it wrong! And I was SO wrong...but of course that's what these talented writers wanted! When the fascinating and lovely Piper comes to town she catches the eye of Leo who's been depressed for awhile. But this attraction threatens Joanna whose love for Leo and the children is all-consuming and she vows to find a way to extricate Piper from his life. Told from alternating perspectives, we see Piper woo Leo and Joanna plot to expose her for the manipulative, secretive woman she is. Twists at the end will make your head spin! It's brilliantly plotted and my favorite of all of the Constantine sisters!
I just really love books by Liv Constantine, and this was no exception. I found myself really hating Piper and feeling my heart break for Joanna as I rushed toward the conclusion-- which was nothing like I expected. I knew there would be some kind of twist, based on previous books by Constantine, but I found myself thinking "How can you twist THIS?!".... Well, they did, and suddenly a lot of things I thought would be loose ends were wrapped up nicely. So well written and cohesive, which can sometimes be difficult when written by two authors. I enjoyed this immensely, and will continue to look for books by these talented authors in the future. A solid 4 and a half, but rounded to 5 for NetGalley review purposes.
You know those books that make you MAD because you find connections with characters that get destroyed by others? This is THAT type of book. I was reeling at the things that were going on in this story! The weird part? I love how it left me feeling so jittery! A book that can bring about a myriad emotions is a GREAT book and Liv Constantine did that here. And the epic twist? Blew my mind! I need to go back and read more from the author because she clearly can write a book that speaks to readers like me!
Witty, smart, and a lot of fun!
After reading The Last Mrs. Parrish, I immediately requested Liv Constantine’s latest, #TheWifeStalker. They got me good! It’s been awhile since I’ve read a thriller with a mind-blowing twist. I swore I had it all figured out and then I audibly gasped and said wait what?!? When Piper Reynard sets roots in Connecticut, she sets sights on Leo. He’s her dream man. The only thing she doesn’t like about him? His wedding band. But Piper knows marriages aren’t permanent. Meanwhile, Joanna has been patiently waiting for Leo to re-emerge from his deep depression. When he finally returns to his charismatic self, Joanna realizes it’s because of a new woman: Piper. As Leo and Piper grow closer, Joanna is desperate to find something - anything - about Piper. But when she confides in her therapist that she is worried about Piper’s presence, particularly because of the children, Joanna is told she’s just being paranoid. Is she paranoid, or is there something more sinister at play?
One of my favorite parts of the book: the authors created likable child characters. I found myself giggling at their dialogue. I’ll be honest: I usually don’t care for deep interactions with kids, especially in thrillers. But it totally works here. The story is also very fast-paced and every detail is important. There were a few loose ends, but I feel it was intentional: readers are left to wonder and make judgments on their own.
The Constantine sisters have done it once again with this mesmerizing, unputdownable psychological suspense. Having read so many books in this genre, it takes a lot to surprise me these days, but the ending of this had me completely floored. This was a total page-turner, which I devoured in a day. The Constantine sisters consistently exhibit excellent writing and suspense and their writing just gets better and better with each book. I recommend this for all fans of psychological suspense and those just looking for a fun, entertaining read. 5 well-deserved stars!
Many thanks to Netgalley, HarperCollins and Liv Constantine for my complimentary e-copy ARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
