I really liked this! Thought it was going to be a little different but ended up not being to bad. Really enjoying reading Sylvia Day books.
Apologies for the late response on this title, and apologies for clogging up an inbox on old titles.
While I am aware it's obvious, I have chosen not to read/review this title.
As always, I appreciate access to titles and look forward to the next one...which I have likely already read based on how long ago this title was published.
Thanks, again.
2.5 stars.
I have read some Sylvia Day books in the past, and it was okay. But it was some gaps in the story and it was so and so.
Sylvia Day was one of the first authors I read after reading a particular book - wink -wink. She gave me my fix of complicated relationships dynamics that kept me interested, and the arrangement is not one that disappointed me. I enjoyed the drama but also the interrelation between the protagonist. Certainly engaging.
Honestly, a fantastic read! But it also reaffirmed why I prefer pull length novels. This just lacks some of the depth, the authors typical works do. But that's by design, so certainly not a negative thing.
I loved all these stories and look forward to reading more like them from these authors. Each story had it's own special something and they were all enjoyable. I definitely recommend them and these authors.
While this is a popular author, I just didn't really enjoy this. I enjoy some historical romance but this one was a miss for me.
I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest review. The Arrangement was definitely a hot and steamy romance that I finished in one day.
Each author was able to pull you in quickly and you could feel the attraction right away between characters. When you have shorter stories that is sometimes hard to do but these authors did it beautifully.
I received with thanks an ARC copy of The Arrangement from Kensington Books and Netgalley.
This is my review of The Arrangement by Sylvia Day. This was published on 28th January 2020.
I don’t normally like anthologies but this was enjoyable. This was my first historical romance by Sylvia Day, but I have read and loved her Crossfire books. This is was my first time reading books from Minerva Spencer and Kristen Vayden. I really enjoyed this trilogy. But my favourite was Mischief and the Marquess by Sylvia Day. I just adored Justin’s and Sophie's romance. I did enjoy the other two authors works and looks forwards to picking up some of their books in the future.
Would recommend if you love historical romance.
This is an anthology with three amazing, wonderful books. Once I started reading "Mischief and the Marquess" by Sylvia day, I did not stop reading. I loved the characters in each of the book. the only thing I wish is that the books were longer.
I voluntarily reviewed and ARC provided by NetGalley. Thank you!
Super trio of novellas! All three are superb and worth reading and re-reading! I loved the theme of arranged marriages or marriages of convenience and found the three different authors to complement each other's styles.
Sylvia Day has brought us to 1817 Northamptonshire with Lady Sophie Milton-Riley and the Marquess of Fontaine whose family wished for them to marry. After her scandal, she arrives with her grandmother for a short stay. Lady Sophie decides that the best way to get them to back off was to show how ill matched they were by pointing out her fear of his dogs and how he is allergic to her. As they try to show their differences, they learn about how much their perceptions of each other from the past were farther from the truth. Will Lady Sophie and Lord Fontaine get closer or stay detached as they try to show that they are too different to suit each other?
Sylvia Day has brought us into Sophie and Justin's world as they hatch up schemes to show their family that they should not marry as they try to ignore any feelings they may be developing for each other. Will it be enough or will circumstances drive them further apart?
I have enjoyed this short story from Sylvia Day. In addition, there are other stories by Minerva Spencer and Kristin Vayden to add to your reading pleasure. I look forward to enjoying another adventure with Sylvia Day. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for this privilege.
#The Arrangement is a novella.I enjoyed being introduced to two new authors in this book. #Like many #Sylvia Day was the known author. But this did not make a difference.Historical romances are such a fun escape. And it’s a perfect take along.
Thank you#Netgalley #Sylvia Day,#Minerva Spencer, And Kristin Vayden
Mischief and the Marquess by Sylvia Day
This story is my first book of Ms. Day's books.
Childhood friends. Circumstances tearing them apart and no one can say what will.come when those two will meet again and something new will start blooming.
Sensual, full.of emotions and captivating story with a few hot moments.
The Duke's Treasure by Minerva Spencer
At first, I didn't like Beau, but that was only at First. Later i started warming up to The Both characters and that meant the full enjoyment of the story where characters needed to clear their misunderstandings And maneuver alongside one person with a hidden agenda.
Will they manage to start something new when their marriage started as an Arrangement?
The Inconvenient Countess by Kristin Vayden
I liked the concept of the marrie made from convenience when two sides would be granted something they needed - status or money. Characters were rather likable and followed what I expected them to. It was just ok read, I think this one was the weakest of those three.
When I requested this novel I was into the ideal of reading this novel but I discovered that I was unable to provide feedback on this book due to the series being archived prior to download and file/download issues. Again, I am sorry for the inconvenience of not being to review and thank you for taking the time to provide me an ARC of this novel.
All wonderful stories by wonderful authors! Novellas usually make me nervous that it is not enough time to get a complete story. The Arrangement had me wanting more from each author but not because the stories were incomplete, because I did not want to leave them. Three different arrangements that do not go as planned.
Interesting title and book but not for me. I enjoy Sylvia Day's work but I didn't enjoy this collaboration.

This was a great group of historical romance novellas. I will say I definitely think Sylvia Day's way the best. Her characters had the most chemistry and I loved their romance the most. That being said, all of these were fun romantic stories. I loved the idea of romances that did not exactly seem like they would be good matches at the beginning, but ended up being pretty perfect. Each of the heroines was well balanced and not like annoying females I sometimes find in historical romances. And each of the heroes were definitely swoon-worthy. I would definitely read additional historical romances by all of these authors.
Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for the eARC!
When I requested the book,, I thought it was a collaborative effort by these authors, but I realized it was actually a 3-for-1!
Mischief and the Marquess - Sylvia Day
RATING: 3/5 stars
This was a pretty short novella, but it was definitely plenty spicy! I usually enjoy a lot of that in my reads, but I would have appreciated a little more development of the relationship between the mcs. It was difficult to feel emotionally attached to their characters bc there wasn't much time spent on their evolutions. Overall it was a good read.
The Duke’s Treasure - Minerva Spencer
RATING 4/5 stars
The relationship between Josephine and Beau was apparent in this one, which made it a more enjoyable read for me. The plot was there; the development was there; and the steam made some nice appearances as well :) This was my favorite of the 3 novellas for sure.
An Inconvenient Countess - Kristin Vayden
RATING 3.5/5 stars
I liked the characters in this book, and the story was interesting enough to keep me turning the pages, I hadn't read anything by this author before, but I plan to in the future as she was able to incorporate a decent plot line with at least enough essential character development along with some steamy goodness!
Overall, this novellas collection would appeal to anyone who enjoys steamy Regency stories with solid plots but doesn't expect a significant investment in the development aspects of the characters.
I read this for the Sylvia Day story, and it was good, just not up to par with what I’m used to reading from her. The other stories were good.
