Gilly runs a classy B&B from her old family home, and loves it. Helena, her daughter, is a weaver who is looking desperately for somewhere to live as her landlord has given her notice. But it’s not easy to find somewhere that’s big enough to put up the tools of her trade, mainly the large loom she needs for her craft. Her brother Martin, with wife Cressida, are determined that Gilly should sell her beloved B&B to be a live in nanny in the 7 bedroom mansion they’ve fallen in love with but can’t afford without Gillys money.

Enter Leo, who, after a chance meeting, sweeps Gilly off her feet, showing her she is still capable of happiness and even love.
Then Jago, Helenas landlord offers her a short term solution to her living problems, purely as friends. But both men have things to hide.

This book is just what I hoped for from Katie Fforde, believable characters, an easy to read tale, descriptive and enough intrigue to keep you interested. In fact, having woken very early one morning, I decided to read this, and didn’t stop until I’d finished. Ideal for a read when you just want to immerse yourself in a book. Really enjoyable.

This was a lovely slow build romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I thought that the characters were well developed and they worked well together. Their interaction was great and it really made the story enjoyable for me.

I thought that the author's writing style was wonderful as I had hoped (and expected being a massive fan of her other books) and it had a great flow to it.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, I thought it was well written and very enjoyable - very highly recommended!!
