Gabrielle Korn, the former editor of Nylon magazine, has written this collection of essays about a variety of topics: self esteem, self discovery, making your way up the corporate ladder, etc. While I felt that the author had some good perspective, I didn't feel connected to her personally and I didn't feel that there was anything in this book that I hadn't read before.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

"Everybody (Else) Is Perfect" is a well-written memoir by Gabrielle Korn. She endured personal struggles including coming to terms with her sexuality, struggling with an eating disorder and climbing the corporate ladder in a world that is not only dominated by white males but has pre-conceived expectations of the roles of quiet and tiny women. Despite her challenges, Korn was successful in creating a work-place and life that challenges societal expectations.
This was an interesting book about an impressive woman. I appreciated the honesty about her struggles and admired all that she accomplished. I hope that young women will read this and be inspired to think outside of the box and break free of what our culture has raised to think of as "perfect'.

I am having trouble putting this book down. The author's story of success in publishing, while dealing with body dysmorphia and an eating disorder, is absolutely riveting.
