Another cute Christmas story between one guy who feels the holiday sprit more than most, and one guy who is a complete grinch about the whole thing. It was a fluffy read, and fun to see the unique ways the guys wooed each other

I received this book in exchange for an honest review so here we go

I wanted to read something Christmassy for this time of the year so I requested this book because it wasn't too long and it sounded cute. Cute it was. It was definitely a slower burn but it was good. Realistic for the mindsets the characters were in at that time. The plot is very simple as it should be for a Christmas related book. It's just cute, fluffy and festive with a hint of drama and there you have a Christmas story. The plot revolves around a guy named Alex who moved away from LA because he wanted to get away from his life and family there. He's a "closetted" gay and he kissed his best friend because he read the message wrong and all spiralled downwards from there on. He hasn't come out to his family yet and he's afraid to do so because he just doesn't know where he stands. At his new place randomly in a grocery shop he meets a high on Christmas spirit guy named Nicholas and they couldn't be more opposites when it came to the holiday season. Due to his past, Alex is very grumpy about Christmas and Nick is very much excited and in the biggest Christmas mood you can be. This was their first encounter and you could say, they probably won't be seeing each other again...unless, they figure out they actually live in the same building and from there on the story developes.

I really enjoyed this little story and I really liked the characters and they were just so cute. At first they didn't know where they stand and it was a lot of drama and slow burn but eventually, due to the very entusiastic best friend of Nicholas, Jade, they get closer. It's really just cute and fluffy and the end was so damn adorable I almost cried. Such little softies. I really enjoyed it.

If you're looking for a cute, small, male/male, Christmassy story...look no further.

Starts off strongly with one character the grinch and the other on a Christmas sugar high, slipping back and forth between them. I liked both Alex and Nick. Once the balance has settled it’s sweet how they communicate.Probably the cutest Christmas story I’ve read.

Alex is the embodiment of the Grinch when this story begins. He's battling the holiday shoppers for some food and everything is annoying him. He's sick of Christmas carols, holiday spirit, and peppermint... he really hates peppermint. When Alex bumps into a festive stranger named Nicholas ( oh yes, he's impressed that he's named after Santa) Alex has no idea he's meeting a neighbor in his new building.

Alex hasn't really moved to the city just for his education. He's run away from the fact that no one in his family knows that he's gay. He doesn't want to tell anyone because of a very unpleasant experience with his ex-best friend. No, I'm not going to spoil what happened.. that my holiday gift to you.

Alex has met his match in Nicholas when it comes to Christmas cheer. Hart writes a lovely character and Nicholas is no exception. He bakes and hands out candy canes, gives his neighbors Christmas baking and howls out Christmas carols in the middle of the night. He gathers up supplies so the neighbors can all make snowmen and he leaves candy canes with notes attached to Alex's door.

How could you not love Nicholas? Well, if you were Alex you'd be shy. There's a lot going on for Alex but this isn't a heavily emotional plot. There are a few speed bumps but Hart handles Alex's past issues lightly and sweetly.

If you're looking for a romantic, extremely Christmassy love story then this will hit all the buttons for you!

This got me into the holiday spirit! I was hoping there would have been more of an explanation to the magical elements. I appreciated the handful of cute moments between Alex and Nicholas.
