I enjoyed reading this story in the Front Range Series. It was interesting because of the women's lives in prison at that time and how things changed for the better. There was a good storyline as the main characters had a feud involving their families. It kept me involved and I was pleased at the ending .

I think this wild west romance was not quite for me. It is written well and can be a quick summer read, but i think would have been better if had read the rest of the series and not as a stand only. By the end I was skim reading just to be finishes and not something that I am going to keep on my shelf to read again.

I liked it! Romeo and Juliet meets the wild wild west. You just have to shake your head at the length the men go to hold a grudge. So much of the town's hate and lawlessness is centered on two families. The book slowly reveals the reasons and how it affects the children that fall in love. Julia and Robert have a good story.

I haven't read the other books of the series, but didn't have the feeling I missed anything. You can easily read it as a standalone. I liked the setting, but thought the characters lacked depth. It was a nice quick read.

First of all, I didn't know this book was part of a series, number 6! I haven't read the first 5 and don't intend to do so. For me, this was a shoot em up Western, set in Wyoming similar to the Hatfields and McCoys but in a different state. That being said, I lost patience with reading it and DNF. Feuding, fighting, lawlessness, no thanks.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for a honest review.
