The idea behind J.C. Daniels' Blade Song is fantastic. Kit is a Jane of all trades and a half-human. Throw in some light thieving and assassin work to the mix. When she takes a job tracking down the missing ward of one of the local alpha shapeshifters, she seems to think the job will be an easy one. Once she begins, she finds a much larger problem.

While the idea for the story is great, I didn't feel like Daniels finished developing the story or world. Does she have a magical sword? Yes. Are there a lot of action scenes? No. Dialogue feels repetitive, and the book falls short of (eerily) similar books already out there.

Have lost access to this book due to kindle that it was on and I can’t review. I apologise for not being able to do this.

Since being sent this book, my interests have changed therefore I won't be reading or reviewing this title. Thank you.
