Let’s start with the cover, I’d like it a lot better it was one of the two pictures, not both, looks a bit strange to me.
You can tell the author used to be a pilot, all the details about flying are amazing. I do wonder if it might be too much, I didn’t mind it. There are so many details about flying that I feel the characters miss, they seem a bit one dimensional. Even with all of Janine’s bagage see seems flat.
I do like how there is chemistry from the start, it seems realistic. Some of the book is a bit too far out for my liking, but somehow I didn’t mind it.
I enjoyed the book

This book had great parts and some that were so difficult (because of content not writing) that I had to fast skim. Leads to a solid 3 star.
Kerri is an airline pilot and Janine is a flight attendant. They are just starting to get to know each other (and hint at wanting to *know* each other better) when the unthinkable happens. The crisis brings them closer together. Loved the flying info. All good.
Janine, however, is married to a heinous, violently abusive man from whom she is on the run. These tellings and flashbacks were too graphic and too disturbing for me.

Wow, this one kept me at the edge of my seat the entire read. Captain Kerry Sullivan a lead pilot for a commercial airline. She is mostly likable and treats her colleagues with respect. Her reputation is a little battered because of one bad relationship with a flight attendant. Janine Case is a flight attendant that is new to the area has her first flight with Kerry. During the initial meeting both women find the other attractive, but Janine has a secret that she wants to keep just that - a secret. Because of that she really doesn't socialize much and many think of her as an Ice Queen. From the blurb you know that at some point during this book there is an incident that happens on the flights and an emergency landing has to take place on the water.
So what did I like. Honestly I like majority of the book. Flight to the Horizon was easy to read and I managed to read it in like 5 hours which is so unlike me. The book was not boring at all. You feel like you are a part of it with the details that are given about the cockpit and flying in general. This one is well written! I loved that. I liked the chemistry between the mains, but honestly they really don't spend much time together or know much about each other for it to really mean they will fall in love. So I was very surprised that is exactly what happened. Sure a traumatic experience might help two people who are attracted to each other get there quicker, but based on the details, i would have to say nope. Between this and the fact the the ending was so odd that I had to take a point away. Don't get me wrong the book is worth reading. It really was a 5 star for me up until the ending. I honestly think most people will enjoy this one so you should read it.
4 stars.

Captain Kerri loves being a pilot she has a great life but something is missing she hasn't found the one woman to spent her life with. She has women in her life but never one who would stick around.
Janine is a flight attendant who some say is a ice queen but there a reason for that. Janine is afraid to get close to anyone because she in hiding from her abusive husband and she do anything to keep her daughter Molly safe.
When they share a amazing kiss they both feel like finally found someone but when Janine listen to one of her colleague about Kerri being a womanizer which to me didn't seem like Kerri character at all she decide not give Kerri a chance.
Kerri who doesn't understand Janine giving her the cold shoulder ask to pilot the airplane where Janine is on to found why she won't give her the time of day but when they need to rely on each other when there airplane starts to lose control. Kerri had to do a emergency landed in the ocean with things looking like they aren't going to make it. Kerri and Janine learn things about each other and confess they feel something for each other.
When they are found Janine worst nightmare happen her husband Ryan found her as she tries to escape him. Kerri is dealing with whether she will be able to keep her job when we learn not all it what seems.
Yes the love story between the MCs was fast but when your in a life or death situation now not the time to hold back if you found someone who makes your heart beat hold on to them. Overall I enjoy it.
