Apologies for the late response on this title, and apologies for clogging up an inbox on old titles.

While I am aware it's obvious, I have chosen not to read/review this title.

As always, I appreciate access to titles and look forward to the next one...which I have likely already read based on how long ago this title was published.

Thanks, again.

Amanda (one of two main characters) was so annoying and judgmental, it was exhausting to read her chapters. Still worth the read, as long as you dont mind a 30-somethimg uttering phrases straight out of the nursing home.

Betrayal and distrust. Family and love. They all coexist in this book. It follows two not-so-close sisters, and their mother who is still in the throes of grief from the loss of her husband, who come together to support each other in the midst of family and relationship drama.

This was a decent novel, but I just didn't connect to it. I liked it, but I didn't love it and was excited to move on to the next book. It didn't feel like the story I would be thinking about for weeks to come.

Thank. you NetGalley, Montlake Romance and the author Jamie Beck. This was a touching book for me as it involved grief but I deeply enjoyed it.

Thank you again.

I've been trying to go back to my older books in my Netgalley TBR and my reading preferences have changed so much that I couldn't make it very far in this one. Just wasn't quite working out for me. At this time, I'm no longer interested in this title. Thank you for the opportunity to read the book and I apologize for the inconvenience.

This is the first book in a new series by the wonderful Jamie Beck and this read didn't disappoint.

A heartwarming, drama-filled, sentimental read following two sisters in their hometown, this was everything I wanted it to be and an excellent read.

Sweet family drama with themes of grief and reconciliation. Not a new fave or anything but I enjoyed it over all.

This was a well written book that I enjoyed. Looking forward to reading the next installments. This is aboutt a family that comes together, redefining their relationships and family dynamics, in light of scandal. Good character development and the relationship development was well done.. A good reminder of the importance of family.

Thank you to the publisher for the e-ARC of this title.

I enjoyed the story and liked the characters, but the book felt long. I would consider another by Beck, and perhaps even the sequel, but would like to see future installments move more quickly.

I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.

The Turner women have reached a point in their lives where they really need each other. Sisters Amanda and Erin have never gotten along. Erin and their mom were always contentious and since the death of their father, they have all been a little lost. When Amanda finds out her husband is leaving her while she is pregnant, she will have to lean on her family in order to make it through.

Thank you to Montlake Romance and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I really enjoy books that deal with sisters and mothers. This book did not disappoint. It kept me invested from the very beginning. The moral of the story is that even though we may not always like our family, we love them and know that they will always be there for us when we need them.

If You Must Know
Potomac Point, Book 1 by Jamie Beck

Two sisters Amanda and Erin who are as different as night and day. They have gone their separate ways after childhood but are brought back together to grieve their father and come together to deal with a scandal.

A well written book.

A good slow burn book and takes the viewpoint of both women.

A little romance, intrigue also thrown in for good measure. It shows how families can come together in the face of adversity.

Brilliant. This was a well written book that I greatly enjoyed and already plan to recommend. Believable characters and an inticing setting. Some parts were perhaps a little lengthy, but maybe because I was impatient to reach the novels conclusion! Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

Two sisters, entirely different personalities, are forced into working together due to the actions of Amanda's husband. Amanda thought she had a perfect marriage, a loving husband, a fun part-time job, and a baby girl on the way. Erin is a free spirit, teaching yoga part time and starting her own business selling handmade soaps on Etsy. Then Amanda's husband decides to leave for another woman, and her life dissolves very quickly. Lots of intrigue -- the FBI gets involved even! Both girls, and their mother, who is still mourning the loss of her husband a year ago, have to learn what's important: family, and not what the rest of society thinks of you.

They all do a lot of growing up. It's slow at first, but once the story gets going it's hard to put down.

I received an ARC from NetGalley for my own opinion.

I liked this story! It was exciting, sweet with a little bit of suspense. Most of the characters were brought to life and some not so much! I rate this book a 3.4! Thanks Netgalley!

I read this in a day--couldn't put it down!

If You Must Know is a story about sisters and families and about starting over when things don't go/aren't going in the way you expected. There's a touch of romance (a very light touch, but it's sweet) and a slight mystery that puts one of the sisters in a bit of danger (also pretty low key) but really it's the story of how sisters Erin and Amanda had a pretty crappy weekend separately that ended up in the end bringing them closer together than they had ever been before.

Both sisters were sympathetic characters--with the alternating chapters, you got to see things first from Amanda's point of view and then from Erin's; each time even if you'd been a little exasperated with one of the sisters, once you saw things from her perspective things made more sense (even if you personally still wouldn't have made the same choices they did). The secondary characters are fleshed out nicely as well--Erin and Amanda's mom, their brother Kevin, Eli, Hannah and her bakery, and Mo (OMG, Mo!) all had something to add to the story.

I put the book down with a smile on my face--even not knowing who the next book(s) will be about (this one is billed as the first book in a new series) I am *more* than ready to go back to Potomac Point--especially if it includes a trip to Sugar Momma ;)

Rating: 4 1/2 stars / A

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

If You Must Know tells the story of two sisters at a time in their lives when all hell breaks loose. The sisters could not be more different. They are dealing with the recent loss of their father and all of the fallout from changing family dynamics.
I liked how the story was told from both sister’s point of view and how it worked through healing their relationship. I did not like the relationship between Erin and her mother. I was bothered by every single interaction they had.

A great domestic story following two sisters who are very different, learning how to come together after Amanda's life turns upside down. It's a story about family and acceptance and growing into your own after life throws you a curveball when you thought you had everything figured out.

It's a slow paced read but it was enjoyable. After learning the series will continue in Potomac Point, but follow new families I actually like it more. I love when authors create their sort of Universe where every story is unique but we can still check in our old favorites.

An emotional story about family and struggles. About facing family drama and learning to rise above it.
