I really loved this book in a new to me author. The characters and location really and to the story. I can't wait to read the next one. This book keeps you guessing until the end.

This is the first book I have read in this series. However I feel like I need to go back and start at the first book in order to understand more of the back story. All in all this book was very good. It was a page turner with much action.
Many thanks to Thomas & Mercer and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

I received this book from Netgalley for review and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I found this book in the Ava Saunders series to be twisty and a challenge to read. The main character is a killer. The body count keeps going up and up as Ava searches for her father. With many family relationships in flux, there is no one that can be trusted. The past rears its ugly head and traverses the world in this thriller series. It takes Detective Russel Bowers and his best friend Joanne to find the truth. Revenge is a dish best served cold. For Ava, revenge is her only answer.
This is third in series. I would recommend reading in succession. The background is vital to following the thread of Ava's world.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC, I will give you an honest review. The is my first book by Ellen J Green, looking forward to reading more in the future.
This dark and gripping thriller will grab you from the start. I highly recommend reading the first two books first. Ava is determined to get to the rest of the truth about her family at any cost. What follows is an intense journey from country to country. Finally the answers are all revealed and there are plenty of shocks along the way. Russell and Joanne are back to help solve these mysteries. This is an intense read that wraps up this family saga beautifully. Well written characters and drama combine to make reading this psychological thriller an experience. The ending is beyond perfect and had me cheering. Ava isn't your typical heroine, but you can't help but root for her.

Wow, what an ending! I really wasn't sure where this third and final book in the trilogy was headed, as I thought most of the questions about Ava's background and family had been answered. Far from it! This story was packed with new people and discoveries and I had to slow down and really pay attention to keep all the characters and locations straight. It's worth it though, as once everything is finally pieced together (and it takes until the last few pages) the outcome is brilliant. There is so much in depth history about Saigon fifty years ago, along with various locations in France in Italy, and the author makes you feel like you are there and part of the tale.

The flashback opening might make you wonder how this could ever be related to what we've seen before, but pay attention and remember all of the characters. It's vital to understanding the current events and how Ava, Anais, Philomena and everyone else are connected. Russell and Joanne are also back and thrown right back into a new investigation. They come to terms with each other's previous behavior and realize they need each other more than they thought. Every new character that we meet is vital to the history of these families, I can't say enough to pay close attention and try to keep it sorted as the story progresses.

This author is brilliant and needs much more recognition for her books. I don't know where she's headed after completing this trilogy but I will be first in line to see where she takes us!

"Ava Saunders was three years old when her mother was murdered and her father disappeared. Ava's been living to avenge the past--and eliminating anyone who comes between her and the truth. Off the grid and on the run, Ava has fled the United States on a willful mission: To seek out those who adopted her and find the blood relatives who abandoned her."
This was a gripping, intense novel and it was good! I already enjoy psychological thrillers and this had all the elements - a strong MC seeking the truth, supportive characters, and descriptive environments. I didn't realize this is #3 in a series, so this can be read as a stand alone.

Mystery, Action, Suspense

"Silent Redemption" has it all Mystery, Action, and Suspense. This book is about 4 young people and a 30 year old secret. Four young people went to North Vietnam, 3 returned home, one remained missing. What happened there they vowed to keep secret and never speak of, but someone knows. None of them are safe.

The book keeps you guessing every step of the way. It takes you from Vietnam, to the United States, to Italy to France and back to Viet Nam. What is the secret and how does it all end?

Lots of twists and turns along the way. If you like action packed mysteries than I recommend this book to you.

Thanks to Ellen J. Green, Thomas & Mercer publishing and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review an advance copy of the book.
