Another winner from Denise Hunter in the Bluebell Inn series! I really liked this sweet story about Mia and Levi, the brother of Molly from the series' first book.
Mia needs to escape a scandal, so she finds herself hiding out at the Bluebell Inn. Both Mia and Levi have issues from their past and the things that have happened to them, but over time they learn to open up, be honest, and find love with each other.
Sigh...another great book by Denise Hunter! I devoured this book since I've been waiting for it every since I read Lake Season. I craved for more with Molly, Levi and Grace.
I loved how Molly and Adam had a subplot in the book and I loved Levi and Mia's story.
I can't wait for more! I hope Grace's story is just as amazing as Lake Season and Carolina Breeze. Or at least I hope Grace's story is next. :)
Ohh, so good! I DEVOURED this one. Characters that grow, a beautiful lake/inn setting, and an interesting peek into the lives of celebrities. It was nice to hear how things are going for people we met in the previous book. I'm excited to read the third book!
This new entry in the Blubebell Inn series offers another romance for one of the Bennetts, the Bluebell Inn owners. A movie star, dumped by her fiancee, seeks to 'hide out' from a scandal so comes to North Carolina to stay. The visit is already paid for--it was to be her honeymoon. And, Mia (the star), has ties to the town in the form of her grandparents.
A good place to hole up, Mia reads her grandmother's journal found in the inn and is fascinated by the possibility of a valuable family heirloom hidden in the inn. Levi, the oldest Bennett, falls for Mia but is afraid to take a risk. His sisters are tired of him trying to manage everything solo, including their lives. So, Levi is struggling not only with his own feelings, the press when they discover Mia's location, his sisters (both unhappy with him), and the latest disaster at the inn in the form of a plumbing break.
Carolina Breeze is the second novel in the Bluebell Inn series about three siblings who make their parents’ dream come true of running a family inn. Levi, the oldest, is a control freak who is very protective of his sisters. He is also afraid of failing, which causes him a lot of stress. Thankfully, he meets a famous movie star while she’s staying at the inn, who helps him realize that not everything in life needs to be perfect. It’s easy to fall in love with this series and hard to put the book down once you start reading. Another great book by the talented Denise Hunter!
Mia Emerson is a Hollywood star caught in the middle of a scandal. As she tries to find a safe place to weather out the storm, she finds herself at the Bluebell Inn. A place that holds family history but should have been her honeymoon hideaway. Broken hearted, she meets handsome innkeeper, Levi Bennett, who takes her under his wing.
As Mia starts reading her grandmothers journal, she discovers a hidden treasure. One that could be worth a fortune, helping the Bennetts dig out from financial worries. But finding Carolina Breeze proves to be harder than they thought.
This was such a delightful story. The budding romance between Mia and Levi is fraught with complexity at the differences in their lives. Levi's sisters are a large part of the story line, and they play well into the plot.
A sweet romance, following in the foot steps of Ms. Hunters first book, the story has a good flow and keeps your interest.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
A pragmatic, down to earth, constantly stressed hero discovers his inner romantic in “Carolina Breeze”, by Denise Hunter (Thomas Nelson Fiction), where one learns that celebrity lives are not as rosy as they seem.
An absolute delight to read, this Blue Bell Inn installment, focus on the eldest of the siblings, Levi, who takes his role as the responsible brother too seriously, making him become often a bit tense. However, the control freak who wants to shoulder all the burden alone he’s a wonderful hero, an average, genuine man, unselfish and noble, a bit shy sometimes.
It was so fun to watch how this bossy hero managed to have the three women in his life “all mad at him” for different reasons.
Mia is a wonderful heroine, too, a bit guarded, fighting feelings of rejection, but very solid, compassionate and realistic.
I liked the way the author handled the celebrity theme and issues and loved meeting again the characters already known from the previous story. There’s great dialogue, great relatable characters, a bit of humor and the beautiful setting of Blue Ridge Mountains.
Carolina Breeze by Denias Hunter is the second book in the series and it features the oldest sibling Levi. The heroine is a beautiful actress who is staying at the inn hiding from scandal. This is a romantic book with a bit of a mystery and it has a HEA. I have to say that my favorite characters are Molly and Adam from the first book. They crack me up. I recommend reading these books in order to get the most out of it
4.5 stars
*I was given a copy of this book by the publisher Thomas Nelson. This is my honest opinion.
CAROLINA BREEZE is the second novel in the Bluebell Inn series by DENISE HUNTER. In it we come across many of the characters from the first book, and it is good to see how their lives unfold. There is lots of romance and some mystery and it is altogether a most enjoyable read.
When Mia Emerson, a well known film star, arrives at Bluebell Inn to stay in the honeymoon suite on her own, Levi and his sisters provide a safe place for her. Wrongly accused of having an affair with a married man, on top of her failed engagement, she is in a very vulnerable state.
I like the way the author takes us through the characters' feelings of inadequacy and rejection, together with some family drama.
i can really recommend Carolina Breeze to anyone who enjoys romantic fiction.
I was given a free copy of the book by Thomas Nelson. The opinions in this review are completely my own.
There isn’t a book Denise writes that I don’t love. They are easy to read and so enjoyable. I always look forward to any book she wrote.
This is a sweet story and I look forward to more.
Thanks for the copy from netgalley and the publisher.
First, I love this series. I did not want this story to end. Denise's writing totally connects you with the characters. The characters and the town come to life for me. There is a little mystery and a lot of romance. I can totally connect with Mia and her fear of not being worthy of love and wanting to find a place to belong. Her search for Dorothy's necklace is her search for trying to find her home and roots. Mia wants a soft place to land. Mia and Levi complete each other. If I could give this book 10 stars I would. I would recommend this book to any romance lover. I cannot wait for Grace's story.
Carolina Breeze by Denise Hunter. Another delightful and engaging story in the Bluebell Inn Series. While there is a small bit of mystery, it is more of a sweet love story. Mia is a perfect match for Levi. Enjoyed revisiting the Bluebird Inn and learning more of it's history and revisiting the Bennett family.
Thank you to the publisher, author, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
