This is a touching, posthumous, story (a true story) of the life of Joel David Schwartz, a boy and young man with Asperger’s. Written beautifully by his mother, the book gives the reader an intimate and unique glimpse of what it’s like to be an “Asperger’s family”: a portrait of Joel and his younger brother Jonathan, his dad, Larry, and mom, Julie.

Although Joel tragically died when he was 25, his essence lives on in the memories of his family and with those of us so privileged to have met him.

May Joel’s path be an inspiration to us all, may he dance canfei nesharim (on the wings of angels), and may his memory be for a blessing.

I received this book as an ARC from the publisher and NetGalley.
