I didn't realize this was a collection of short stories and was massively confused come story #2! But I was so damn invested in the first story that I wanted it to continue. I can also see how at the time these were written/orignally published they would have caused quite a stir. Fun reading, and glad I finally read some of Henry James.

An enjoyable collection by Henry James. All of his stories are both atmospheric and slightly unsettling. I had already read the title story, The Turning (The Turn of the Screw) a few years ago and had a very good book club discussion surrounding it and I'm pretty sure any of the stories in this collection would make for great discussions.
