The build up is a little slow but when it's build there's a whole world full of magic to discover. Nice pace, well written... very enjoyable!

This is a great read for fans of Mortal Engines and other steampunk books. I enjoyed the world-building, characters, and overall design.

this was a really enjoyable read, the characters were great and I really enjoyed the plot itself. Overall I look forward to more from the author.

I just didn’t get on with this book at all. I’m not a huge fan of fight scenes anyway, and this is just one big fight and for me, barely any story. I felt like I was waiting for something to happen, and a conclusion but none came. The love story just didn’t make sense either.

I could not put this book down. When I did put it down to sleep, I dreamed about the book. Lavelle's novel is an original idea with a fast paced plot. I really enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the sequel.
