While I have the first two books in the criminal profiler series, somehow I ended up reading book 3 first.

I loved this book!! Nothing was as it seemed and there was a log of page turning action, murder, mayhem, what the heck just happened moments, and everything in between!!! If your looking for hot and heavy romance this isn't the book for you, but if you love did that just happen moments, the thrill of the hunt, murderers and psychos than you MUST read this book!!!

If you haven't read any of Mary Burton's books, do yourself a favor and get some because you won't be sorry.

Am a big Mary Burton fan and wasn’t disappointed with her latest book.
2 serial killers
FBI Jerrod Ramsey has been tracking a serial killer across the country and goes to Tennessee where he joins forces with TBI agent Melina Shepard.
The two investigations are intertwined well and this keeps the story exciting and moving at pace..
It also delves into Melina’s past and this leads into unexpected twists and turns towards the finale.
If you are looking for an exciting, engaging thriller then this is for you.
I loved it.

Great book!! The story is about a female police agent with some childhood issues of her own past that involves the investigation of two serial killers. Enjoy the relationship between Melina and Jerrod, her assigned partner for these crimes. Lots of suspense, well written & keeps your interest throughout. I have read all of Mary Burton's suspense novels and am always looking forward to more.
Highly recommend all her books. Thanks to Amazon publishing and netgalley for a copy of Never look back.

Bloody hell Mary Burton is good. Another gripping, edge of the seat page turner, which is what I have come to expect from her.

This was the first book I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. The story was different from anything I've read recently and really captured my attention. It was so well written and the characters were fantastic.

Although this is the third book in the author’s Criminal Profiler series, it can definitely be read as a stand alone. Agent Melina Shepard of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is trying to catch a killer who targets prostitutes. When she decides to go undercover and is almost captured in her own net, help arrives in the form of FBI agent Jerrod Ramsey. The way these two work together was a magical combination of wit, brawn (not always his) and compassion for the victims. This was a fast-paced read with mind-blowing twists. There were some graphic descriptions that were hard to read, so I admit that I scanned those parts so that I wouldn’t toss my cookies. The book was well-written and filled with suspense from the beginning to the conclusion that was just a wow for me. There are two serial killers in the book and Mary Burton weaves the two stories together seamlessly. Although the book may be categorized as a romantic suspense, I also think it can really be called a psychological thriller since the agents have to get inside the minds of the killers in order to trap them in the web of law enforcement. Great, engaging and scary read!

My first encounter with author Mary Burton and hopefully not my last. Based in and around Nashville a fantastic story line, two serial killers for the price of one. Both going back a number of years and both killers have different interests in Agent Melina Shephard.. An intriguing and fascinating story, thoroughly recommended

It's not often you get two serial killers working at the same time in the same place. Yes there are serial killers across the USA at any given time just not usually in the same location at the same time. This was an interesting book that start with one serial killer and then seem to find another one and kind of forgot about the first one. I liked both Melina and Ramsey and thought they made a good team. You find out all about Melina's missing childhood in this book. You can also read this book as a stand along. I personally love the show Criminal Minds and found this was like watching a couple of episodes but in book form. If you like a great mystery/thriller then pick up this book, you won't be disappointed.

Never Look Back is another intriguing book by a talented author. Her characters are strong individuals who are determined to catch the killer. I found Agent Melina to be tough and dedicated to her job. She is an individual that will risk her own life to save the life of others. Agent Jerrod Ramsey is a lot like Agent Melina. They both live for their jobs and want to help those that cannot take care of themselves. Agent Melina is investigating the disappearance of two women when she is attacked. She manages to get away, but feels that the the man will return to kidnap another woman. Agent Ramsey comes in to help her with an investigation when they are called to another accident. A child was left in the car and in the trunk of the car is evidence of another crime. Are the cases related or do they have two killers on their hands? As both agents pursue the investigations they stumble upon clues that lead to Agent Melinas past. Does she know the killer and why is he after her after all this time? Mary Burton has written another riveting book that will keep readers wanting more.

A strong willed investigator for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation , Melina, takes on two serial killers with the help of FBI Agent Ramsey.
Never Look Back is a very suspenseful/thriller read, with heartwarming romance and long buried family secrets that make for a very intense read.
The story grabbed me from the beginning. I was intrigued how the author intertwines the two mysteries.
Get ready for an intense journey as you read Never Look Back! So many twists and turns you won’t see coming.

A small child left at the roadside is found by a policeman going off duty. He gets back to his station and pulls strings to foster her and succeeds. Roll on 20 years and her story begins. Wow, what a book. Well written with twists and turns, not to mention the odd crime or two. One of these books that when you read will think, I never saw that coming. A really good read

Full review to be published online in late July.

NEVER LOOK BACK is another riveting police procedural by prolific author Mary Burton. These are always entertaining stories, learning the process these bright people go through to hunt down a madman. Melina and Ramsey work well together, feeding ideas and new intelligence to one another, and letting the facts guide them.

Things get complicated, however, when a new crime occurs that ties to Melina's past and her luck.
Flashing back to her childhood, we learn that she was unlucky to be abandoned on the side of a road (it was unknown then if this was a family member or someone else). She's lucky that the cop who finds her takes her under his wing and later adopts her. This flashback story eventually ties into the present day serial killer case.

Good story and intriguing investigation.

Melina works for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations and is on the hunt for a killer that is targeting sex workers. However, there is someone from her past that is targeting her. A real twisty romantic suspense and a 4 star read from Burton!

Hang on to your seats, this fast paced read. Will keep you wanting more of Jerrod and Melina.

Melina Shepard is brutally attacked and almost abducted when she is working undercover as a prostitute. She pairs up with Special Agent Jarrod Ramsey (an FBI Agent from earlier books who finally has his own story) and they hunt down not one but two serial killers. It is a gritty, tense thriller with an exciting plot line and plenty of twists to throw you off track. I really love Mary Burton's books, quick paced and full of suspense. Well worth a read. Thank you for the free copy in exchange for a honest review.

Really enjoying the criminal profiler series. In book 3 we meet Melina from the TBI and Jerrod from the FBI. Prepare for a plot within a plot and characters you will want to see again. The action moves quickly. You will get caught up in the story and want to keep reading. At the same time you won't want it to end. The writing style is smooth as if the author just has words flowing from her pen. You don't have to read books 1 and 2 before this one but you will want to enjoy them also.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Although it was a bit different with the stories of two serial killers, it was still enjoyable. The two main characters - Melinda Shepard and Jerrod Ramsey were quite interesting. It was easy to fall into the lives of the characters - heroes and villains too! An exciting, unputdownable read...

My gosh, I’m exhausted after reading this, I read it in one sitting and absolutely loved it. From the very start we get the sense that our heroine Melina is a tough cookie...she’s strong, independent and determined, but we also see glimpses of someone dealing with unresolved issues. When she’s nearly abducted and escapes with her life and the perpetrators blood, she is shocked to discover she just had a run in with a serial Killer. Thrown together with our Hero Agent Ramsey, the two of them begin to work the case, but when another case comes up involving an abandoned girl, a jar of severed fingers and a missing women, the similarity between how the girl was abandoned and that of Melinas past can’t be ignored, and when the two cases come to ahead, danger ensues.

This story was so gripping, I’ve read a few of Mary Burtons books and this was is her best so far. So much going on, but never to much that the reader loses focus, I wasn’t sure who all the players would be, and there are lots of shocks along the way. Honestly...such a good book

LOVE this Author. LOVE all her books. REALLY LOVE this book, the 3rd in the series. TBI Agent Melina Shephard puts herself in the crosshairs of a serial killer. FBI Agent Jerrod Ramsey has been trying to catch a serial killer for a long time. The two team up after a suicide is ruled murder. The Author ties the storylines together seamlessly. I was on the edge of my seat a few times while devouring this book in 2 sittings. Thanks to NetGalley, the Publisher and the Author for the privilege of reading and reviewing this fabulous book. I hope we don't wait long for the next one.

Sarah Beckett runs the Mission in Nashville, a halfway house for prostitutes, and is trying to trace two girls who haven’t been seen for a while. Her friend, Melina Shepard is an agent in the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation who decides to go, unauthorised, undercover to try to find them. While on the street, a male in a van tries to abduct her, but he hadn’t banked on her fighting back or being able to give so much detail about him to the police.
Jerrod Ramsey is an FBI agent, who deals with serial killers, and has been on the trail of this one for 10 years.

This is a complex and intriguing story, with twists and turns galore, fast paced and very well written. The characters are interesting and believable, not perfect but more believable for that. It deals well with Melinas past. She was abandoned at the side of the road when she was five, no trace of her parents was ever found, Several story lines intermingle but are so well written it’s not confusing. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would be more than happy to read more of the authors work again.
Thanks to netgalley and the publishers for an ARC in return for an honest opinion.
