This recipe book was great for any young chef! So many great pizza creation options to choose from. We found the content very informative and educational. The break down of each step in the pizza making process was helpful for kids to follow and understand. The book was extremely text heavy and didn't include enough photos, given it was a children's book. It would have been nice to see pictures of the finished product along with each recipe.

This cookbook that is aimed towards kids may also be welcomed by adults.  If you would like to create pizza at home, this is a great resource.  The book is divided into chapters on the three components of pizza; there are doughs, sauces and toppings.  Following these is a section on old school classics and then one on new school classics. Last there is a chapter called just for fun.

The book begins with a word to parents.  I like that the author uses a stop sign symbol to let kids know when they need to get assistance.  There is information related to safety, tools that are needed and more.

All in all this is a good resource with nice photographs illustrating the creations and clear directions which include tools that are needed and some extra facts of interest along with the recipe. ]

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this title in exchange for an honest review.

Really great kids cook book for kids who love to make easy dishes and who doesn't love pizza! The book offers clear, simple instructions on how to make each dish and provides alternative ingredients. It keeps allergies in mind. The only thing missing that i feel is pretty essential for a kids book are pictures!!

Pizza School is a tutorial cookbook for youngsters and adult helpers written by Charity Curley Mathews. Released 17th Dec 2019 by Rockridge Press, it's 130 pages and available in paperback and ebook format. It's worth noting that the ebook format has a handy interactive table of contents as well as interactive links and references throughout. I've really become enamored of ebooks with interactive formats lately. The book also includes a short author bio, and a metric conversion chart. There is no index. For Kindle Unlimited subscribers, this book is included in the KU subscription library to borrow and read for free.

The book has a logical and easy to follow format. The introduction covers the basics, with notes for adult facilitators/parents, and how to utilize the cookbook. The following chapters cover food safety and basic techniques, dough, sauce, and toppings (one chapter each). The recipe chapters contain classic recipes, new classics, international/fusion recipes, and non-pizza-pizzas (breakfast, dessert, etc). The recipes have their ingredients listed bullet style in a sidebar. Measurements are given in US standard only. Special tools and ingredients are also listed, along with yields and cooking directions. The ingredients are all easily sourced at any moderately well stocked grocery store.

This is an accessible guide with recipes aimed at kids. The writing style is fun and easy to read with instructions including good tips for safe food handling and cooking without mishaps. My quibble with the book is that the recipes are mostly not photographed. There are some photos, and they're clear and attractive, but they only represent a fraction of the recipes.

Pizza School is also peppered with cute quips and kid-friendly jokes. Overall, a nice cookbook with appealing and family friendly recipes. Four stars.
