Meet Me at Pebble Beach: Part Four - Seas the Day was a great sequel to this series. I just loved the ending and I am so glad Regan got her happy ending. A fab book that kept me hooked, so much so that I devoured this book in one sitting. Another fab book by Bella Osborne.
Loved the book!!! I really enjoy reading this series. I can't believe the series is over. Loved reading about Charlie, Regan and Elvis. Almost forget all the hoglets. I still want to visit a hedgehog rescue and snuggle the little babies. Although, I'm reconsidering after Charlie and Regan's adventures in trying to take care of hoglets and needing to feed them constantly. The squealing/shrieking noises that they make doesn't sound like something I want to listen to!! I was definitely right that Regan's father had something to confess. Although, it was not what I was expecting. I LOVE Elvis. His "activities" with he sheep skin rug had me laughing. Then there was the naked beach. Elvis saying "hello" to the man was priceless!!!! Eat it, shag it or pee on it was a very accurate description for Elvis. Regan finally perfected her jam skills. Honestly, she couldn't get any worse than she already was. Unicorn jam is brilliant. Glitter makes everything better. I ended up not being too surprised by the person who was behind the hit and run. Regan made the right choice when she dumped Jarvis. He was completely not supportive of her and mocked her market stall when she happened to run into him at the gym. Charlie was always the perfect person for Regan.
Definitely recommend the book and the previous books in the series. In the end, Regan definitely won the lottery. Even though she didn't win any actual money, she ended up winning so much more. I'm so sad to say goodbye to Regan, Charlie and Elvis. It was fun reading about their adventures. I love reading the author's books and look forward o reading many more. I love the cover of this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Avon Books UK through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
We have finally got to Part 4 of the Pebble Beach series! As I have read the previous three parts of the story, I have been eagerly waiting to reach this final part to find out what happens! If you haven’t read the previous three books of the series, then I would recommend going back and reading them before this one as they really do need to be read in series order. This last instalment in the series fills in all the blanks, ties up all the ends and tells us what happens to the lovely Regan. I couldn’t wait to see whether she gets her happy ending that I have been keeping my fingers crossed for all the way through the series.
I won’t go into too much detail for this last book, as I really wouldn’t want to spoil the storyline if you haven’t read it yet. For such short books, the author certainly gets a lot of storylines packed into those pages and this final story was filled to the rafters of both happy and sad moments. We get to find out what happened to Regan’s dad (my gob was well and truly smacked with that one!), who was responsible for Kevin, what happens with Charlie and who will look after Elvis, along with the conclusions to some of the other characters’ stories. The beauty of this author’s writing is that the stories are so heart-warming and a true delight to read. Every new series is better than the last, and I have to say that I think Pebble Beach is probably my favourite series so far! The characters are likeable, genuine and you can really connect with them, the location is perfect with its seaside images and the storyline will have you hooked within the first few pages. I’ve loved every second of this series and would definitely recommend it!!
*Just for information, if reading these books as four short novellas isn’t your thing then the full-sized book (with all four parts in one book) will be released at the end of May!
Having completed this fourth part of the Meet Me at Pebble Beach serial, I have the entire story in my mind and it is fantastic. All the pieces to the puzzle came together magnificently! This was my introduction to Bella Osbone's writing and I definitely have found a new favorite author.
She writes about life's everyday situations, some happy and some sad, and makes the reader feel better in the end, since they are not alone with the ups and downs of life. Her characters find a way to move on, and this shows the reader that they can also.
My feelings come from how the world is currently. I read this in March 2020, at the height of the COVID19 virus hitting the US. It is a time of stress and I was finding it difficult to read anything. This serial was a life saver to me. I was able to consume it in parts and escape the real world for a while and that is a sign of a tremendously talented author, that they can create a world that you can dive into and have a place to be refreshed.
I want to thank Avon Book UK and NetGalley for giving me this much needed escape by reading the Advance Reader Copy. My review is my own opinion not influenced by receiving the ARC.
Absolutely loved this book, I would say this is the best book I have read so far this year. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it, from the storyline to the characters to the way it was written. Lots of funny moments in it too. I just didn’t want the book to end.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
This book is an absolutely perfect ending to the Pebble Beach series.
It made me laugh, it made me shed a few tears. There are a few twists and turns along the way to keep you guessing.
This book is part 4 in the series, you definitely need to read the previous books before this one.
It is hard to review this book without giving away any spoilers. All I can say is read the series, it is very well written, and heartwarming. I really enjoyed reading it.
Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.
In this final part we see how Regan works out who killed her beloved homeless friend Kevin and let me tell you there's a couple of massive brilliant plot twists ahead for this part to do with her Dad!
As Charlie and Regan help out their hedgehog loving friend, they take on some to care for briefly and when Regan decides to tell Charlie she loves him, she might have missed her chance will he be ok or will his brain tumour have called time on them indefinitely?
Oh my word, best Bella Osborne book by far with stunning characters and amazing plot twists I was hooked and couldn't put it down! You need to read this book!
Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!
OMG what a way to end the series! i was hooked from page one of book one and ive eagerly awaited the next installment every time i finished.
Can Regan get her life back on track after everything?
Book 4 did not disappoint. Wonderfully written, easy read but GRIPPING!
Highly recommend this book!
The final part of this series. Some twists you are really not expecting, but hard to say too much more without spoilers!
An enjoyable read
Where on earth do I start?
Do I start by saying that I was getting to the end and there were tears in my eyes?
Do I regret reading this final part so quickly?
Do I wish it hadn't ended?
All the above, and much more.
This was a superb way to end this story and ticked all the boxes for all the characters, with a few surprises on the way. I may have said before that there comes a time that an author elevates themselves to another level...this is that book for this author. Of course, this is only my opinion, but it carries weight...with me. Seriously, Bella has now gone onto this level and set herself a new standard. I have no doubt whatsoever that she shall continue to live up to this.
My thanks again to Avon and Netgalley for the reading proofs.
Amazing! This was the perfect feel good read.
This part was more action packed and fast paced as all the loose ends were tied up, but boy was there still some jaw dropping moments! What amazing plot twists. Virginia Flowers totally blind sided me, and I think my jaw was in the floor along with Regan.
And finally, love prevails! Charlie sees something worth living for in Regan and it was a beautiful moment. I teared up along with Regan as she read that first letter left by Charlie, and wanted to slap Beanstalk up the side of his head when he realised his mistake.
Altogether this was an absolutely beautiful feel good book.
