If you want to explore issues about wilderness conservation and climate change from a perspective other than American, this is not a bad read. Part memoir, part “at a crossroads in life” journal as well as reflections on the world that her child will inherit, this Canadian-born London-based writer decides to spend two years (then return for a short time later) experiencing the American West. The author attends events from everything from hunters and trappers, to pro-wilders, to EcoSexuals (no, I am not going to explain the term here). She writes with clarity, but the author returns to London only with her realizing her journey will have to continue to evolve.
