The message of this book is clear. Your thought life is driving your anxiety. Chadwick presents several approaches in chapter by chapter fashion to attack anxiety. All of his suggestions are backed up heavily by scripture and many include personal stories. The overall structure of the book is good, and I appreciate the well researched scriptural references.
Unfortunately, the book gets bogged down by the rambling writing style. There are no clear exercises to follow, no reflexive questions to answer, and no clear suggestions on how to deal with acute anxiety attacks. The reader is kind of left alone to figure out how to incorporate the suggested activities into their thought life.
I think this book would go well hand in hand with an anxiety exercise book to give the scriptural backup for why psychological exercises work, and to give a biblical base for doing these exercises.
